As a native and real estate agent of Dallas, please note that the areas named here are out in the suburbs of Dallas. There's tons of flat, undeveloped land out there just waiting for best use of land. Taxes will be high, family oriented events, and there will be a commute. Most residents reside in the (not so flat) inner city. The inner city of Dallas is going through redevelopment. None the less, it is well developed with lots of character, scenery, public transportation, and entertainment. Taxes are lower and houses will be higher...

So I say this as a person trying to move to DFW soon, it's not just people's opinions. A lot of people are moving to the DFW area which is driving up property values in a short time. Texas has one of the higher property tax rates, so when people's property value doubles over less than a decade it's going to cause some problems. Also for the people moving because of policies please remember where you came from and why you came to Dallas. Just because your politics are different doesn't mean that you're more right especially if you're leaving a place where you're politics failed.
