Damn when I owed on all my vehicles I paid like $900 a month combined for a one owner 15,000 mile C5Z, a one owner 80,000 mile LT1 C4 and a Yamaha FZ09. ZL1 is a sweet car but I have more fun with a couple cheaper cars than one nice car. Something for people to keep in mind. I also find several unmodified cars more fun than one fast project car.
It pays to play brother, but the smiles and the joy that vehicle brings you, I think it's well worth it 👍🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥

Y'aint dropping a car payment from $1,200 to $800 by lowering the interest rate a few percent. The loan amount and loan term is the key here. With a $60k loan, 5 years at 6% is about $1,200 and 7 years at 2% is $800. Most of that difference is the loan term not the apr.

@@Carguylogan APR is what matters. stretching out the loan term means you're upside down for longer and paying more interest over the life of the loan. most experts agree: if you have to go over 60 months, you can't afford the car.
I see many people keep commenting on the monthly rate and APR, do people not realize the FED has been raising interest rates since the beginning of the year? What does that mean? It means all banks have raised interest rates so it costs more to borrow money these days. People cannot compare the rates of today to the ones prior to the end of 2021.

You don't have to do all that well to afford a $1,200 payment, but you might not have a lot left over lol. I make like $60k and my fiance makes $40k. With a $2,250 rent I swung $1,000 a month of car pmts for a while and $350 insurance, and we still had money.

Only way to do that is to give a big down payment or trade in forget ur credit can be an 800 n your payment will still be high

I had a nicer and faster car than this and my car payment was $864 a month and my car insurance was over $500 a month. I’m 31. Had the car when I was 29. No car accidents, tickets or anything. The car payment was what I expected. The car insurance was a slap in the face.

This is not “just a Chevy.” Yes Chevy is the manufacturer of this car but Chevy is also the manufacturer of the coveted C8 Z06, what’s your point? This car is a future classic and many will wish they even had the opportunity to drive one.
@@car_enthusiast1992 I agree 100%. If he keeps the miles low, and the car in good condition, he'll do well selling it in 10+ years. While not quite as rare or valuable as a COPO, the ZL1-1LE is a car that will most certainly appreciate in value. If Chevy actually fazes out the Camaro in 2024 ,the values will skyrocket ! The best thing he can do is not use it as a daily driver, keep it in the garage, pay it off early if possible, and and get cheaper insurance using it as a recreational vehicle.
