I always felt like the sith were so focused on their goal of being the most powerful being in the galaxy, they lacked peripheral vision to see decay on the sides.
Sith: the dark side is more powerful than you imagine Jedi: and those who oppose it are more powerful than you will ever be Revan: let's find out, PARKOUR TIME
You'd think after the incidents with Revan, Bastilla, and later Vader, that the Sith would learn that while you can use emotions to turn people to the Dark Side, those emotions can just as easily be used to turn them back to the Light and ruin the Sith plan. I guess that just proves the Sith are too stubborn or overconfident to ever think of this.
They did attempt that in the Sequel Trilogy, if you recall. Kylo Ren felt a strong pull to the Light Side and his father was the anchor to it after all.
They did attempt that in the Sequel Trilogy, if you recall. Kylo Ren felt a strong pull to the Light Side and his father was the anchor to it after all.
There is also the issue that power corrupts, even in the real world. People who have power, be it physical and even more, political, tend in some cases when they get drunk by it like its with the Sith, to repeat mistakes other people with the same issue made a long time ago. Its a bit less that they are stubborn - which they most definitly are before Darth Bane - and a bit more good old human (or in this case more sentient) nature, that we dont really always learn from our mistakes, especially when any kind of power is involved. Addendum: And if you have power like with the force, where you can shoot literal lightning from your fingertips, such tendencies would dial themselves up to eleven in my opinion.
Just one thing. Cases like with Bastilla & Vader are actually exceedingly rare when you considered just how impossibly huge dark side forces were back in the old days. While emotions could indeed be used to turn a fallen one back to the light, the phenomenon was so rare throughout history that darksiders could logically dismiss such occurrences as outliers. The exceeding majority of darksiders simply lived their whole lives as darksiders after all.
I would really want Geetsly's to cover the Dark Side outcome of this battle. It will be interesting, because in this case the Sith will have infighting in this crucial battle, but Revan comes out actually victorious against the Republic. Marking this as a Sith infighting that didn't cost the Sith their victory over the Republic. Please Geetsly's!
Well that’s what happens when you have Revan on your side and he’s willing to get someone he loves to switch to his side. Learn your lesson Malik. Oh wait…..
The New Sith wars to me are the true defining moment for the Sith. Yes they steadily weakened over a thousand years of conflict but they weren't in hiding from the rest of the galaxy and they sent the Republic in to a Dark Age. The way they set themselves up as sort of a Holy Roman Empire with lots of smaller Sith fiefs only coming together when a Sith was strong enough to become the next Darth to unite them, made them too decentralized to be defeated in one sweep. This made them prone to infighting but never being wiped out.
Can we have a detailed analysis of the Battle of Misra? The New Sith Wars battle that broke the Republic’s back and began the start of the Republic Dark Age.
I recently thought about this: how did Boba get a second helmet? Because Jangos helmet was blown up in TCW S2E20 when Boba uses it as a bomb to kill to Windu.
I honestly think Boba just bought a spare helmet and used that for bait instead. I mean, Death Watch showed that same season they had quite a few lying (Laying?) around.
@@LukeSkywalker-fm1dc true. I could easily see Boba sneaking around a Death Watch encampment and snatching up one of those helmets when they’re not looking.
Hey Geetsly's, I'm a new fellow Star Wars TH-camr that's just starting out and I just wanted to say your doing a great job and I hope your channel grows and finds success in 2022. You are defiantly a Star Wars youtuber that I always like to watch and one that I learn a lot from. I may be just starting out but I wish you the best of luck on your road to 1 million subscribers.
I never realized how in depth the star wars universe actually was until TH-cam recommended one of your videos to me last week. The way you narrate your videos has led me to listening non stop even at work and now I've almost watched everything you have 😐
Plagueis told Sidious, no true Sith “falls” to the dark side, one must embrace it from the start. Save for Exar Kun. Also Vitiate had given Revan and Malak the mandate of spying on the republic, they instead went and declared themselves DLOTS so pretenders, cos players
I loved Knights of the old republic. I kind of cheated when defeating Malik though, I just ran around in circles and threw my lightsaber at him until he died LOL. I kept getting my butt kicked so resorted to a glitch 🤣
Slight error at the beginning, of the video as Revan and Malek went after the true sith hiding out in the unknown territory after learning about them from dying Mandelore at end of the Mandelorian war and and were turned to the dark side by Vitiate and sent back as vanguard to test and weaken the republic for the eventual return of the true sith empire. Once back in republic space, the emperor's control over them snapped and went out to create their own empire.
I like Revan but he was a pretender. As Plagueis told Sidious, no true Sith “falls” to the dark side, one must embrace it from the start. Save for Exar Kun. It was not ferocious, the final fight with Malak was sadly underwealming , he's on the front cover of the game and you get pumped up to finally fight him the whole game, its in you're subconscious ..Malak , and then you eventually fight him and without any spoilers ,yeah the only good part of the fight is the dialogue finally between Malak and yourself.
I have to be honest, the sheer amount of mispronounced names, incorrect images for what was being discussed, and the missing information about _why_ Revan and Malak disappeared after Malachor V is rather upsetting, because Geetsly's usually does so much better...
so in other words 9/10 times if you face Revan you will be obliterated, and the other times either you defeat him by betraying him, (and he didn't even die from that) or you're a millennia old Sith emperor (Dark God practically) who made all other darksiders look like children in comparison to his power

nah, i can't let this slide. you say "the Sith took a whole lot of L's", but you say that like it wasn't necessary for the plot. if an orange skinned idiot can turn a 350 year old military industrial empire aginst it's self, someone with actual supernatural powers to manipulate the human mind were to exist; that Sith would have anti-vaxx'd idiots throwing themselves on the steps of the jedi temple in such numbers that the jedi would drown under the weight of them. not a single other thing would be necessary.
This is some sort of false jedi propaganda, but I'll watch it anyways. ^_^ Tl;dr Bastilla was so hypocritical, she kept Revan in stasis and banged herself a baby. Great Master Jedi-material that one. Sheesh. Join the dark side, life is so much simpler.
When the Sith spent over 1000 years planning their new great galactic conquering plan and only rule for 25 years...
Who said after Palpatine second death, the Empire colapse?
@@panos617 nah yeah it didnt, but for the strongest period it was 25 years, I couldnt even take over Tattooine with 10 000 years of planning lol

The empire continued, that’s true, but there weren’t any Siths anymore, so what Jack said still applies

(Yes, inspired by maul vs kenobi last fight in clone wars }:D )
He is just testing the waters
And this is just one example of why Revan is one of the best characters in the Star Wars universe
Meetra Surik is my favorite jedi, but revan is my favorite with. He dose deserve number 1, but I'd argue surik is a close 2nd.

If Anakin Skywalker or someone with similar personality was born during this period, I wonder how will this affect the outcome of the Jedi Civil War.
My theory? The harder you push the balance on the force the harder it will swing the other way to compensate.

We need a movie of the Old republic era.
Bastila was incredibly standoffish towards the player in the game. But It made sense later on in the story.
Revan, the cause and solution to all of the Republic's problems.
Well, in my playthrough, Revan killed Malak and became Supreme Emperor of the Galaxy so....?
I suggest a video on Bacta and Kolto.
Can you make a video Explaining about every faction in their own video like you did the Eternal empire
Could you go over every planet that has been destroyed in Legends?
Old Republic had many interesting events happen during it's time
It would be kind of epic to find out that Revan was the ancestor of the Skywalkers the whole time
The Sith can never rule forever . Ruling is peace time baby, war times and conquering is the sith bread and butter
