My daughter has been a fan for a number of years. I never heard of them but it’s all she talked about. Last year she took me to a show in New Haven. I thought I would be bored since I didn’t know any of their music. She had the biggest smile from beginning to end and knew all the words of every song. I never saw her so happy and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Probably one of the best most intimate shows I’ve ever been to. Looking at a road trip to Toronto now.
This band is incredible. Never have I heard a band that takes me to so many places. Discovered them when I was going through some hard times. Thank you Lord Huron.
I feel exacly the same. Listening to them helped me going through my hard times because I didn't feel like myself, I felt like I was living a whole different story.
Their music evokes feelings of mystery, somber, mysticism, a connection to nature.. its a story for people decipher and then cry when they discover it.
This is a perfect description... I can't articulate what I feel when I listen to them, but for some reason, I get an amazing feeling.... almost like I am at a distance from everything and everyone, like floating above the world just for a bit, feeling alone, but feeling love & being ok with it all... just peaceful.
I found them just this year ... WHERE have I been?? I heard a 7-second snippet of "Take Me Back to the Night We Met" on a FB Reel about a golden doodle of all things. Looked that song up ASAP and a whole new dimension opened up ... like the flotilla g, being alone but happy yet a little sad ... that's how life is. It was all about a strange sad place in a relationship I knew I shouldn't be in... I'd walk in the dark hit summer nights and still in the icy cold December nights ... LH playing and I think things out. They've been a blessing. God works in mysterious ways...😉☮️
@@joedames7432 I'm not an expert on the lord Huron narrative but it seems to begin in the west with "time to run" then there's a lot of songs that are inspired by Ben's time in Indonesia such as "lonesome dreams" and wanting to return west with "I will be back one day" The songs all come from different perspectives on a person traveling east anyway.

Shout out for the drummer, Mark Barry. Not really flashy, but very solid, creative, and plays well to the song. Though I would like to see him go off sometime. You can tell he has it in him.

After a year-plus of being in a pandemic-induced quarantine, this show seems like a dream come true. I miss good, live music so much and would LOVE to see LH in the near future!
I like that with the albums their style changes too, it's not always the same tone, or the same kinda feeling. The first two albums feel like nature, like someone hiking on a long journey, vide noir felt dark, and nostalgic, and long lost feels like it's heavily influenced by 40s and 50s styled music, so it's always something different. Not alot of musicians do this really, they stick to one sound and one only
I never get tired of listening to absolutely every song!!! We rode our horses across the state of Michigan and this music is so hauntingly beautiful! Reminds me of Michigan! We spent so much time in the Michigan woods!❤❤❤. This music is magically transforming! Good for the soul!
I keep coming back to this performance. It's got Vide Noir, Strange Trails, Lonesome Dreams and even some of their older content. I share this whenever I want to introduce people to the band
I recently discovered Lord Huron at the beginning of the Covid pandemic and fall asleep to their music every night. The music is so beautiful and soothing. Although the stories are about lost love and darkness, I can't help but feel that all will work out in both worlds.
Susan Kirby I found them about four years ago but still I agree with you. I also use my google home to listen to them at night when I’m going to sleep. I like to listen to there album “Strange trails” when I go on trips or road trips
I've seen them twice over several years and I cried basically for the entirety of both shows. Especially when they play the Night We Met. I can never not cry to that song.

We just seen Lord Huron Jun 1st at The red-rocks and it was amazing and the view forever behind them was breathtaking. Also got to meet his mother and 10k people sang happy birthday to her. Awesome night 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely love this guy and his band, how is it I am just hearing his music. This band should be on the air waves 24/7. Hopefully they will be playing in Michigan soon.
For more than a year now, they've been just about all I listen to. It's Rock, Blues, Folk, Country, Western, Surf...every possible genre, repackaged and New, Improved. And the world created in Schneider's lyrics give me the willies, in a good way. The day I get tired of them is gonna be a pretty depressing day.
@BobStBubba I get sick of bands and artists pretty quickly but I’ve been listening to them for about four years so it would be very upsetting if I got sick of them. They are the best band ever in my opinion. You literally have my exact mindset. I also think that your description of there music is pretty accurate I would say there like a indie fork rock band. Hope you see this @BobStBubba. Have a nice day!
Never heard about Lord Huron before. It was this certain feeling that we all know that brought me here! Far away from what I normaly listen to, this is pure honest entertainment.
Yeah, it's a pull. I first heard the band on my local PBS TV station. Clips from this show at the House of Blues in Boston. That was about 18 months ago. I was entranced by the songs and musicianship. Never knew the date of the performance until now. It was the day my best friend died in Boston. The very same day and year. Guess I had to find Lord Huron for special reasons, too. Real special.
I’ve been listening to these guys since 2014 and I have not yet to find a single song I am not completely obsessed with. So happy they’re performing with Mumford and Sons this summer in Denver.
Love love love thé song but not my fav on the album, I liked it more before 13rw...I feel like the show kinda ruined it for me. I’m glad they finally got some hype tho!
The version of 'The Night We Met' with Phoebe Bridgers gets me every time. When she sings "When you had not touched me yet" ... wow, that is one powerful lyric. Of course, thanks to that song, I am now obsessed with Phoebe. She and her music are just amazing!!! I love her.
Found these guys on TH-cam. I still haven't heard them played anywhere else (except that I've added them to my spotify playlist). Very unique sound that kind of reaches your soul. I can listen to them for hours.
This band has accompanied me from the summer of 2018 and I hope it stays with me forever. I’m extremely blessed to be seeing them live in April. I’m extremely excited. It’s taken me places I’ve never thought I’d go. While listening to every album on repeat, I imagine places that don’t even exist. It’s quite beautiful. (Into the sun is my favorite album)
Lord Huron shows me, that music styles are never dead. They live on and can breathe life anytime. Ben brings so many influences right back to life in so many songs. It's...amazing.
Exactly what I was gonna say, Sam-Hopkins. Elvis style of singing and surf-guitar effects. It's like a hybrid of Chris Isaak and Bruce Springsteen if they were to conspire to write the soundtrack to a Tarantino movie. ;)
Nobody here understands that the crowd is supposed to be relatively quiet during songs. This is what we call “musical theatre” .... we’ll let the band provide any and all audio... it’s Huron time
first heard this brilliant band on the film A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail a 1998 autobiographical book by travel writer Bill Bryson, love every song, have all 3 albums

Lonesome Dreams - Life

Poem Interlude
"I stood back from the edge of the pure black void
Muttering ancient names in forgotten tones
Staring up at the jeweled sky
Torn asunder by moonbeams silver sliver
I bare my bones beneath the Balancer's Eye
And cry never ever out to the big chasmic cosmos
The universe yawns and lands its long-armed blows
By forces known to her, I'm thrust through the firmament
Lost in time, lost in space
I scan the spinning sky in an awe and I spy an emerald star; this I followed
Across eons, beneath black oceans, passed places anywhere darkness pools and pools when the night is over
I followed the emerald star and by and by I return, diminished and dumped
The flowers grow and wilt and die, while I wait beside the river, with the secret of life in hand
Staring into the pure black void"

Never heard about Lord Huron before. It was this certain feeling that we all know that brought me here! Far away from what I normaly listen to, this is pure honest entertainment.
Yeah, it's a pull. I first heard the band on my local PBS TV station. Clips from this show at the House of Blues in Boston. That was about 18 months ago. I was entranced by the songs and musicianship. Never knew the date of the performance until now. It was the day my best friend died in Boston. The very same day and year. Guess I had to find Lord Huron for special reasons, too. Real special.
Legend has it that Louisa was never played again by Lord Huron after this show...
Sad how they don’t play “The Stranger” anymore I think. It was I think their very first song they fully made
@@The_Furless They played The Stranger at their concerts back on 9/21/18 and 5/15/19.
It got to the point where I was waiting to hear her scream between songs. Yeesh.
😂
One of my favorite artists! Beautiful music that brings tears to my eyes.
Drove 16 hours round trip to see them in Austin, TX. Best concert I’ve ever witnessed!
Was there at this performance. Such a gr8 performance. Love this band.
I’ve been listening to these guys since 2014 and I have not yet to find a single song I am not completely obsessed with. So happy they’re performing with Mumford and Sons this summer in Denver.
That was a killer night ❤️💪🤘😎cool footage
Imagine having written one of the greatest songs ever in "The Night We Met"...
Slow down partner
Bet you only know abt that song from 13 reasons why
@@timmlovitt6260 I wouldn't recommend gambling for you then. Hopefully, with others, you don't make similar assumptions.
Just discovered the music of Lord Huron 10 mins ago... Totally hooked!!!
Refreshing vibes!
Holy shit I love this band they make my day and I’m dying to go to a concert
Awsome awsome awsome. Love this guy's voice , puts me in mood I can't explain. But it feels good when tears run down my face!
Their songs keep me awake. They guide me through rough times..
Mark Barry's drumming really knocks me out. Time signatures are like molding clay in his capable hands. One of the greats.
Wow country Rockin' Blues folk with a side of psychedelic sound 😎
I took a little journey to their concert,
I can see thec change i can feel it in my bones
Lord Huron can add 18 million listeners , coast to coast played ancient names, on a sunday night, ty George Knapp
Is it just me, or there's a strong 50's vibe on many of their songs?
Can someone explain it?
I love it
Maybe the Elvis-sounding voice during "World Ender" along with that catchy rock n' roll guitar riff, uh huh huh huh
It's like a hybrid of Chris Isaak and Bruce Springsteen if they were to conspire to write the soundtrack to a Tarantino movie. ;)
It's a mix of rock 'n' roll, folk rock, country, surf rock, and electronic. Every song is so different.
I definitely hear it in alot of songs of theirs
An absolutely outstanding band... Their music takes me many places when I listen 🎶
Can't believe how much more powerful they are live, I've always liked this band but now I think I love them :p
Rob Rowden Yeah, I saw them live nearly a year ago, and it was one of the best live performances I’ve ever attended!
,,The truth is stranger than my own worst dreams" that's just poetry
The theremin on Way Out There is so damn cool.
So dayum good. Every song 100%. Thanks for sharing.
Saw a set very similar to this at the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA--still one of the best shows I've ever been to. Love these guys!
Nobody here understands that the crowd is supposed to be relatively quiet during songs. This is what we call “musical theatre” .... we’ll let the band provide any and all audio... it’s Huron time
Yeah, BUDDY. A roomful of noisy drunks is as close as the nearest bar. These people, SRO, showed respect.
Y'all need to unclench your ass cheeks
Lmfao
Little fuckin kids
Well as a die hard Lord Huron fan, It's just so dam hard to stay quiet nevermind trying to stay relative still at one of their shows!! I sure can't!!
Video popped up on my recommended videos to watch, glad I did. Great show and this live mix sounds amazing. Kudos to whoever mixed this.
Literally “Never ever” is THE BEST SONG EVER ITS SO GOOD!!!!

I was blessed to see them at the Stampede in Calgary such an amazing show… and forever grateful to you Kate for inducing me to Lord Huron ❤
Their music mesmorises & takes me to another realm. Experiencing this concert is ethereal & leaves me energized. Thanks, guys.
first heard this brilliant band on the film A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail a 1998 autobiographical book by travel writer Bill Bryson, love every song, have all 3 albums
Am I the only one who's noticing how good the drummer is . Like sheesh
Nope, you are not the only one!
the emerald is soooo magic ✨
New to this band, wow! Wonderful ~ and quite an impressive light show...happy crowd. I appreciate the fine camerawork too.
