Great song and tutorial/review. What are your specs for your computer? I may have missed it somewhere. I was curious because I use Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio and I have i9 64gb ram and still end up lagging a bit in my video editing. I have no problems in Davinci Resolve. I prefer using Mixcraft.
Thanks. I was doing this on an i5 9th gen gaming PC with 16GB RAM. I had bought the i5 because I had read that programs I use don't really take advantage of i7's or i9's. It's been so long time since I used Mixcraft for video and I forgot how well it responds. I do remember that it's okay with a single video track, but struggles if I try to do more that one. Also I think with multi-track audio and effects, it can struggle too. For about 6 months I've used Davinci Resolve for my videos, mostly using an even older i7 with 32GB RAM. I still have a lot to learn about the program, but really like it. I wish that Fairlight inside of DR was easy to use like Mixcraft. I haven't yet tried taking audio tracks from DR to process in Mixcraft, but may give that a try sometime.
Would highly appreciate your advise. I have been using 9 pro and like to add personal videos for my songs on youtube. Recently I find that these videos always come out OVER EXPOSED, and I haven't got a clue why. the original videos ( mp4) are superb but once installed within a Mixcraft project they come out with colours much too bright. Would very much appreciate your help if you can... cheers, John Smies, Holland
Hi John, thanks for the question. I just did a quick search and found this info. It's for version 10, but perhaps it will be the same for version 9. I actually didn't know about this until you asked, so perhaps we may both learn something from this. I hope it helps. John Chamley, USA acoustica.com/mixcraft-10-manual/rendering-videos
I use PowerDirector for the final editing but use Mixcraft to mix and sync sound and video. I also use Camtasia for screen captures. Sure, I could do some videos on how I put it all together. Good idea. Let me know if you have specific questions that I might answer and I'll try to cover that.
