Very well done video and very well explained. Question please: Will these two tools work on a Gibson 24.75 scale neck like on Gibson models like an Les Paul, ES335, etc. Thanks in advance. Philip
Thanks! I would say yes. I mentioned in the video that the Gretsch was 24 1/2 or perhaps 24 5/8, so your Les Paul would be within the range that it can handle. Here's where I show the Gretsch th-cam.com/video/kSuRYqBuwrw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gqH5T6FtMDw5JS5H&t=242
@@GuitarBasement i appreciate the response, straight edges for long scale guitars are pricey. I, was seeing if I could cut some corners. I will order a 27’ notched straight edge
Sure, I get that. It's good to save wherever you can. I was also thinking that you could use one of these inexpensive ones from the 2nd fret of a 27" guitar. It's just an idea, not a recommendation.
You’re getting really good at this. 🤙🏽
Haha! Thanks, glad you think so.
Good Job.

@@GuitarBasement Thanks for your reply and pointing out the Gretsch scale being close to a Gibson 24.75"...
Have a good day.

Good sir, is it possible to use a 25.5 straight edge on a 27inch scale guitar, and would it give an accurate reading?
No my friend, that won't work. I measured 27" from the 4th fret to the bridge on a bass guitar and it won't fit after the 4th fret.

@@GuitarBasement i am picking up on what you are saying👀👀 I have already considered the 27’ straight edge and it should be here in a few days😎😎
