I cried as crazy when I read the lyrics of this song. It's so clear that he is talking to his younger self. Growing and changing it's not bad, in fact it's inevitable. V has change a lot and this song felt like an aceptance of who he was, who he is and who he is gonna be. He will continue changing and becoming who he is meant to be and I hope I will be able to be there to see it.
"Inner Child" will never disappoint me to make me cry. The way that this both lyrics and taehyung's voice in this song made us reflecting to ourself and became more grateful is amazing. I'm so glad that this song give us the hug that we need after everything they've been through, not just as bts and army, but individually.
V's songs tend to be an emotional gut punch for me. I still get teary-eyed when I hear Sweet Night and Winter Bear. This song continues that tradition. Taehyung is such a gem!! 💜💜
Tae is such a piece of art....a rare one and he is the purest ever💜
Taehyung will always be Taehyung to me no matter if he shows his goofy side or not. I know many fans miss it but everyone grows up and I'm so glad Tae is more comfortable with who he is today. We will love and support him no matter which sides he shows us

That quiver in V's voice is called "vibrato" which means he makes his voice vibrate or shake, it's very deliberate and beautiful. Jungkook, Jimin, and Jin also do it, as well as other singers.
I love how this song is composed as a letter to Tae's younger self. The way he comforts his younger self because, more than anyone, he knew what he went through and that's just absolutely beautiful.

Sometimes i think he writes the lyrics without knowing those words are shaping a scenery in our minds.
Yes he write so well. Who will forget his letter to jimin, his poem for members. He express very well, deep in simple words. He just touch your soul.
Taehyung's voice is unique
Thank you for reacting to Inner Child, it makes me emotional how Tae sang the song and his voice I just can’t describe it, but for me it’s like expressing sadness that’s turning into hope... giving comfort and a warm hug. This feeling is apparent to most of his songs which he created or has contributed a lot. Like in Winter Bear, it’s like greeting you to start the day in positivity and giving you a warm hug after an exhausting day. In Scenery, you can feel nostalgic and sentimental which embodies his personality perfectly, free-spirited and full of wonder. Also in his recent song Sweet Night, sad but hopeful and comforting. I don’t know if people noticed when Tae sings some of his lines, he has this cry-like high end-note (I don’t know what’s the right term), there’s many in his Mikrokosmos parts and it’s more beautiful when they are singing Mikrokosmos in their live performances, here in Inner Child too you can hear it. 😊
I get really emotional, he's talking about his old self, this music is so beautiful, Taehyung is so precious, he deserves all the love in the world

The thing you were trying to point out that Taehyung does is called a flip if I'm not mistaken- when a person changes from head voice to chest voice or between bridges
This song (im not sure but) I think its also referenced to his grandma that passed. The lines "my boy" really convinced me from his speech a few years ago about it.
