Perfect instructing. My puppy is Right here at 12 weeks. Now I realize I'm not alone. (There are very few videos at this age and to the point). Some of her behavior is over the top. I love your videos with Belle. I have a poodle just like her but male. His name is Rocco. They actually learn very quickly. I’ve heard poodles called “Velcro dogs” they like being with their people!! Rocco follows me everywhere! Keep up the good work! I’ve learned a lot from you!

She is a wee belter 🥰.... I lost my wee companion a few weeks ago but as she was a 4 year old rescue it was more ensuring she was safe and was the best Poodle ever 🥲. We decided to get another little one and are 3 weeks away but I really adore your wee one and picking good tips so thank you and loved this video

Poodles are my favorite dog. I have had Standard Poodles and Miniature Poodles, and now I want a Toy Poodle so bad I can't stand it. I have had Poodles my whole life, and I'm now 52 years old. I got my Toy Poodle last Oct.10 and oh boy he is smart. He is now 99% potty trained ... I taught him basic obedience but the one thing he can’t do is to stay, so I agree with you about Belle.

Thanks for this! We just got a toy poodle the other day and he is a tiny puppy. He doesn’t like treats yet so I will have to try cheerios! Our first teacup poodle we rescued from the pound many years ago but he was really old and already trained. I will have to see how his training goes when we start.

What a very precious fur baby!! My friend has toy poodles. One of them my friend adopted about a year and a half ago or so and he still isn't trained. He barks non stops and she doesn't correct that always and he isn't trained as great as your dog is! I think my friend has put off a TON of the training...she is a bit on the busy and lazy side! I hope he will get properly trained someday!(at least for her sake)!

Thank you so much for the advice! i bought a 45 day old puppy yesterday and he was a toy poodle, i want to train him, luckily he knows how to sit, i just have to make him sit when i say sit, since hes a baby hes still a pretty lazy dog, so we give him all the care we can give.
Edit:forgot to mention, when we got him my aunt said "Gimme Five" and he did! we didnt train him, hes also a brown rare color

How did you pad train her? Just got a new toy poodle last week.
Hey. Congrats on your puppy. Put your puppy on a schedule take them to the pad every 2 hrs. After feedings take them in 30 mins because a puppy can’t hold it for long after feeding or drinking water. Once you keep them on a scheduled they’ll learn and eventually take themselves.

If your dog is sniffing around inside, could be a sign they are ready to do their business. Pick up your dog and place it on the training pad. Or place it outside on the grass. First thing in the morning when she awakes from her play pen, I pick her up and place her outside on the grass. She does her number ones and twos. I’ve had my toy cavoodle for less than a week and she is already toilet trained just by doing this.

any tips on biting? i have the exact same pup same breed same age just got him and he bites not hard but i want to train him and saying no does nothing he does waits then repeats. i saw u say "no biting" and she listened so i was just guessing maybe u have some tips. ty!!
You have to be consistent when training a dog ,patient, loving and forgiving and they will reward you with obedience God bless you and your new puppy I own a toy poodle plus some grand dogs lol its real
With belle. I think it’s my authoritative tone, and persistent. Whatever you’re doing when they’re biting. Stop doing it. Say no biting and when he stops. You have to reward him. With enough practice he’ll get it
@@HerlineJ I just got a allergy test today and I had a male dog before it was a mini poodle but I was getting hives so I got the test for a certain protein in the male dog that I might be allergic to. So when I had it I had the same problem he was biting a lot and peeing everywhere so I just want to be prepared just in case I get one. Sorry that this was so long :-/

hey so we had some accidents as well. I put belle on the pee pad and said go potty and when ever she tried to walk off of the pad. I would keep putting her back until she did it. Eventually she got the hang of it. but she was only on the pad for a few months. she uses the bathroom outside now and no accidents inside. also it helps to wipe some pee on the pad so they can know this is where im supposed to pee.
Hey, Can you make a potty training video please. How do you deal with accidents? Do she come off your bed when she has to potty? My toy poodle sleeps with me in my bed but he’s too little to come down by himself to potty, is it hard for yours to come off the bed on her own too? Thanks!
Hi! I have a toy poodle too! Nugget doesn’t sleep with me but he sleeps in my bedroom. when he needs to potty the pee pad is just in front of his bed but he usually sleeps on the floor lol. Potty training puppies is a hit and miss. Most of the time he pees on the pad but sometimes he pees on the floor 😩 he’s too small to go down & he fell from the bed twice already and I don’t want that to happen again.
Just got my 10 week old toy poodle! Does Belle get separation anxiety when you leave her? Does she cry? Mine does and he hates his crate 😩 I’m still trying to have him get used to it

Hey congrats on your puppy! I wouldn’t say Belle has separation anxiety but she will cry when i leave the house but I think that’s all puppies. She does cry but not for long. I put belle crate in my bedroom and that’s helps. But definitely trying putting them in the crate often and just give them treats that’s last a while or kongs filled with treats. Belle won’t cry while in the crate but she will whine for a few minutes then stop. So it’s just a matter of making them believe the crate is a safe place. Belle sometimes goes in her crate without me asking so we want to get to that point.

I have a question, does Toy Poddle Bark Alot, Or They Nip Alot? I am planning to get one, but lit bit confused if they are suitable for family with kids or not.
I would say it depends. Mine doesn’t bark at all in the house but may bark outside when she sees random people or another dog but she’s really harmless. Poodles are the perfect family pet. She also does well with children upon meeting them the first time
My dog also doesn’t nip. Even when she’s chasing me
My toy poodle bites a lot 😭 I’m still training her about bite inhibition. I know it’s normal for puppies to bite but it hurts and I know I gotta do something about it

On average how long is too long in terms of keeping her on her own? I want a toy poodle but I’m gonna be working as a therapist full time as well
Toy poodles tend to get seperation anxiety if left alone for too long, you could take her with you in your office or wherever it is so she could get company while your working? Just take some toys a water and food bowl! And walk her times a day, thats what I would do tho but in my option you shouldnt get a animal if youre working or away for long and cant take them with you xx
