The Phantom LUTS stand at the top of the color-grading world as the GOAT.
When I first started using the neutral LUT on my then-Sony A7sii it immediately changed my work flow and ability to manipulate the color how I exactly wanted it to be. Paired with Dehancer Film Emulation it's even BETTER!

I’m looking into picking these up. But hoping to match between cameras A7iv, iPhone and my GoPro. Understand they are just for slog3, which is what I shoot on the A7iv but want it to be close between different cameras.
Sometimes I use this luts too 👍🏻 great performance definitely
I just sat for 2.5 minutes imagining someone watching this video for medical advice 😅
😂
Nick, great stuff. I am just getting started man. So could you briefly explain… I am starting with DaVinci Resolve, I buy the Phantom Lutz from below… I shot as normal in V-Log on my S5ii and do I apply this Phantom Lut direct to the V-Log or do I have to do something before that step. Thanks man for your insight & I will gladly support you, awesome insight.
you shouldn’t rely on LUTs too early on in your learning experience. I suggest you learn a bit more about color spaces and how to use resolve’s scopes and tools before slapping on LUTs. It will make you a better colorist in the long run!
to be more specific with your question, you should probably see what the phantom LUT is expecting in terms of color space. If it’s REC 709 then you need to drop down a node in the node and use a color space transport to change the VLOG to REC709 so that the phantom LUT is receiving the right color space.
Do you know if Joel is planning on doing phantom Luts for Fuji FLog and Flog2?
Does this work for the sony a74
NICK doesn't work ...
What’s the question?
