  • Tearing down the concrete block building. Back for day 2 and it's time to take the old out building down. I got a little inside footage and didn't lose a camera lol! I think we had 5 or 6 loads of wood debris on this building and 8 to 10 on the concrete. I took everything but the slab out today, I'll get back tomorrow to do that and do my final grade of the property. The 2150 is perfect for demolition work, it has awesome reach and the pro link thumb is great for picking up the small pieces. Thanks for watching! #EliteEarthworks #Takeuchi #Demolition

    A typical house is 8 to12 20-25 yd semi trailer loads. 2-6 tons per load. Hoarder houses and when everything is left behind are the worst. Hauling demo is fun until you arrive at the landfill, then it becomes real. Such wonderful sights and smells 🤣

    I can just hear you saying in your head as you snap those trees like twigs with the 2150 “F*kn Aye!!!” More of a phrase from my past, but I have my nephews (all adults, or at least 1y for the great nephews) saying it now. I hear their friends say it too!! I laugh so hard, but their parents,,, my siblings or in laws (outlaws??) are not as impressed???? Hahaha. Oh well,,, F*kn Aye!!! I’m definitely feeling much better, really like my old self even!! Haha.
    That little shop was actually very well built!! I know I said brick shops were not the best in my region of the world, but if it didn’t need insulation, or not much,,,,, a clean, some spray foam to the underside of the roof, some hard insulation up against the inside brick and maybe it would work,,,,, you would definitely know much better than I would for your area. Simply put it didn’t work in the instance of this yard, you made some fill and it’s all good!! Not much destruction left now before it becomes a preparation for the new homesite for a family!! Sweet!! The trees all around are great!
    You knowwww, if you were going to take on an employee, or co-worker in this case I think, (it’s none ma bidness) your dad was probably the last person you thought of, but it appears that he was the right person to work with!! I like what I see. Don’t know how it is off camera and don’t want or need to know. If it were my father and I it would not be good,,,,,, might be great for TH-cam!! Get millions of hits from seeing us hack on each other in very bad ways!!! If we worked together, we were oil and water, always were. If we were away from work, we were good friends!! We fished together, camped together, (drank together) it was a great thing!! Go figure. I really hope you get along with your father in both cases. It sure looks good here.
    There still was a lot of debris other than the concrete etc in this shop. Surprising! I think you are doing some really nice work here.
    I told my wife about the idea Mrs Elite floated about the fuzzy masked bandit that ran from the house. Once I said that you have 2 cats, she lost it!! She decided if the raccoon made it into the house, between the cats and the raccoon, you would be needing new furniture, carpets and maybe flooring by the time the cats evicted the raccoon!!! Hahaha. She loved the slapstick affair it would be!!! Hahaha.
    You and the family stay safe, Eh!!

      Lol I was! That 2150 is a beast! Dad and me get along way better now. When I was working for him years ago it wasn’t so good. We hit heads a lot but after I was on my own for a few years I think he finally saw what I was capable of and we are getting along better than ever. He’s been great help and it’s back to being fun to work together again. 🤣 oh yes the raccoon and cats would have destroyed everything! Glad she liked it. And I appreciate you watching

    Cool stuff...I need to demolish an old cinder block building and foundation, 3000 sq ft building... lots of concrete. Between equipment rental or hire out, demo, haul off and dump fees I dont see a way to keep this project under $25 grand. Plus, if its anything like my other projects it'll cost me twice as much as I budget for. Any better methods or tips to keep costs down and make this thing disappear?

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you had an area on site where you could dump the stuff that would help. I’ve even smash the blocks with the excavator before and used that for a sub base on a drive way. Demo is just expensive that’s the bad part about it
