I love how rick hair imediately becomes wet when he fight’s someone
Maybe it’s sweat?
I think is kinda dissapointing... like... they been telling us the CRM was going to be the biggest enemy in the whole twd universe... and got destroyed in only one episode?? For real? I mean... 500 year plan to rebuild the world, the biggest military on the planet, managed to keep Rick Grimes locked in for 8 years and got wiped out in only ONE episode just because "Rick and Michonne together can do anything"? Like it seemed so unreallistic that in one episode they returned to cascadia base and were able to kill Beale, Thorne, the whole CRM army and military, make the civic republic and portland find out about the true evil intentions of the CRM and at the end returning safe and sound to Judith and RJ who were specifically there waiting for them to land? In only one episode. I mean i understand they wanted to give it and end and not make a season 2 or make movies, and give us the happy ending we wanted. But i feel it was at the very least... rushed. Like they made us thought Beale was the biggest menace of the whole universe... and he appeared less than Gareth, and was much easier to kill... then kill Thorne and the whole of the CRM in the same episode... it just seems odd to me, like, we got the ending we wanted, but way too soon, like everything went perfect and as planned for the first time in their lifes... in only one episode, when there were like 3 episodes which their point was Michonne trying to gain back the Rick Grimes she once knew. They spent a whole episode chasing Jadis so in the end she died, but in only one episode they wiped out the whole CRM, saved portland and told everyone the CRM was evil, killed Pearl Thorne, killed Beale, AND returned to their children all in an one hour lapsus?? I would feel like an idiot if i was with the endlings on the world beyond since their whole objective was doing the thing Rick and Michonne did in only ONE episode, and they couldn't do it on an entire season. Like... the world beyond was supposed to teach us about how dangerous the CRM, Jadis and Beale actually were... and they just ended them in one episode, very similar with what game of thrones did to the long night. But anyways, that's only what i believe and u may or not agree with me. Feel free to tell me or share your thoughts

@@sei30b16 Yeah exactly, a great callback to that 1st episode!
I think it’s also due in part to Andrew’s acting. It was that look in his eyes from the earlier seasons, when he was vicious, ruthless and determined.
Also because Rick didn’t listen to Okafor and swear by the sword without hesitation. Okafor knew he would hear evil stuff when he got told the echelon briefing and wanted him to survive past that and get high up with him.
Always remember the quote “The world needs Rick Grimes”

@@TerraCrisiscause this show sucked. A month after it ends and everyone stops meat riding the show just cause it has Rick, they'll realize it has the same quality as every other spinoff and isn't a masterpiece like they think it is.

@@TerraCrisis I mean he's still got a more in depth point that's valid. The biggest threat in the entire series got wiped out in one episode and half of the story felt like it wasn't important. It just felt like the story was made JUST for Rick to be back, for him to get an ending, and for him to be closer to comic rick
Beale promising to spare the people Rick cares for was an act of desperation on his part. He was prepared to appease Rick just so he wouldn't be his enemy, because he knew if you're an enemy of Rick Grimes, you will always lose.
I feel bad for Beale he seemed nice, or maybe it’s me who always wants to the see the good side of people when sometimes there isn’t.
@@MetalOverlord01 well the constant we've seen in the TWD universe is that the zombie Apocalypse can turn even the most noble person into a monster. For all we know Beale could have been 100% right, that in order for the human race to survive long term some sacrifices have to be made in the short term that would seem wrong. We don't know what will happen in the years to come with the new direction the CRM has taken thanks to Rick. Resources may be stretched thin and leave even the most stable communities weakened and open to compromise, hostile factions would still be a thing and would be a threat, etc.
Beale would have used Rick's family as leverage, they were better off living free.
@@ReaverLordTonus I've never liked that about shows and movies like this. Why can't there be a better, clearer reason for Rick to go against the CRM? For example, the films Inferno and Kingsman never actually bother to prove the bad guys' data wrong. The audience is just expected to cheer the heroes and assume humanity will be ok. I'm so tired of watching the same thing play out. Negan's done a lot of bad things, and he's still a well-liked character. Why can't somebody like Beale or Thorne be protagonists, too? Why not Richmond Valentine or Sienna Brooks?

3:38 Goddam Okafor 🤣🤣🤣
Why is it funny ?
Cause he realized, only okafor would have been the one to influence rick.
@@MetalOverlord01 isn't it obvious?
Also Okafor was a loose end because he was with the Air Force and turned on his fellow marines at Lincoln Financial Field and joined the PNG which later became the CRM. He was never fully in their side because he knows about what the CRM does to other communities. He wanted Rick and Thorne who were also loose ends to change the CRM from within but only Rick followed through. Beale set up his own demise.
One of the greatest scenes in the entire TWD universe. Great series, can't wait for a final spinoff that combines the cast together again for a final showdown against some villain or a big horde....
I need Rick reuniting w Carol, Daryl etc and even acknowledging Negan has changed and them all working together in the final finale
People forget Rick was a Sheriff before the apocalypse and he's great at reading people and can tell when someone is lying to him. He could see straight through Beale's nonsense. Beale screwed himself when he mentioned Rick not being able to save Carl. He probably thought about Negan blaming him for Carl's death. Beale telling Rick to bring all of his loved ones to the CRM probably sent him over the edge knowing how much time he lost being held captive by the CRM. Losing his hand in attempting to escape being a constant reminder of the CRM for the rest of his life. This is what happens when you push Rick into a situation in which he has an opportunity he may never see again and it's to kill General Beale while being alone with him while everyone else is preoccupied with the Echelon Briefing. Great scene and acting to both actors.
Beale : Swear on the sword
Rick : YEEET
The music is perfect for this scene
The main criticism I have aside from the extremely *RUSHED* ending … Thorne insinuated something much more grande about her echelon briefing … She was in awe and romanticized it. “You didn’t see what I saw”. She acted as though there’s a video briefing like at the commonwealth but on a much grander scale … Instead we got a 3 minute conversation over tea. And Beale said he’s done this briefing many many times … So I’m assuming Thorne got the exact same briefing we did. Kinda disappointing but only because I was hyped for the echelon briefing. It was *brief* for sure.
Maybe she was referring to the same photos Beale showed Rick.
@@SHESGOLDEN I actually don’t remember any photos or what they were about. I watched it once and had a lot going on around me. I imagine it was about the “14 years” left of humanity.
@@GourSmith It was probably the photos. Beale pitches the CRM as the only solution to the dead killing all of humanity in 14 years. He's basically saying if we don't do this now everyone dies. So become part of what's next
maybe since rick didn't swear on the sword he didn't receive the full thing?
@@itzastralz1030 very possible, actually. Never thought of that. Good idea.
john locke looking different these days
Seems a little optimistic the CRM is completely under control in a positive way now. Beale already confirmed essentially there’s bases and operations going on all over the world. and Beale himself was only a 2 star if he was truly was the sole leader of the CRM why not claim the 5 star rank considering you pretty much already have the 5 star spot? So they could definitely revisit this storyline later considering the 1,3,4 and 5 star is likely out there somewhere. Odds are they all likely would’ve known what Beale was up too for years and if 3,4 and especially the 5 star didn’t like it I’m sure they would’ve stopped him a while ago.
Yeah, because they did state that not all of the military was aware or apart of Beale’s crusade, and Okafor did say that only 10 percent of the military knew.
So all the Frontliners, Beale’s private force, were the ones who were apart of the crusade, whereas everyone else was kept in the dark.
It does seem like that the CRM may had came off as an antagonistic force, but that was due to the military and Beale, whereas the government, the council was the complete opposite. You can definitely see the difference in the two factions.
Hi can you explain what is 1,2,3,4,5 stars?
in a world where a 2 star has complete command , it makes sense how he can do this with 2,533 soldiers...
perhaps beale was able to lie convincingly to the others, and they belived him...@@McKnlght

@@Depressing_joe In the US military there are several branches. But in the Army, Air Force and Marines the highest rank you can be is a general. But there’s different variations of the rank of general.
(Lowest) 1 star general, 2 star General, 3 star general, 4 star general, and the highest ranking general is the 5 star.
Official names of the ranks in order:
Brigadier General, Major General, Lieutenant general, General, General of the _____. (In the blank section irl you would insert whatever branch you’re apart part of either Army, Air Force or Marines.) In the case of the tv show it would likely be “General of the CRM”
Following Ray Stevensons death (R.I.P), I think that if I’m Ahsoka S2 they continue with Baylan’s story, the actor who plays Beale (Terry O’Quinn) could do a pretty decent job at portraying Baylan’s character.

If you watch anything in the walking dead universe it is also absolutely unrealistic. So there’s that.
I really wish they did a Season 2 where they bring Judith and RJ to the CRM, it would satisfy the reunion we wanted and keep the CRN story alive for more
Rick Grimes should have agreed, and I don't like how Rick was able to kill a Vietnam veteran that was the PA's Adjutant General, but well he was probably too old for combat already, considering he never had to be a Consignee. The thing is the PANG prevailed so who knows what happened to the federal forces? if the PANG survived, and considering that Kirkman said that the military was still out there in some fashion yet to be encountered by any character, why wouldn't another portion of the U.S Military have survived Cobalt and possibly evacuated to remote locations such as Alaska? as far as we know the California National Guard was evacuated to Andrews and other bases, they could've been evacuated to Alaska with heavy transport planes, the CRM always existed it was the PANG so imagine that, Abraham ex army could have just went to Pensylvannia and he would have found the PANG still operational, hell Abraham would have been a good PANG/CRM soldier during their period of existence, but since they didn't have communication with them he didn't know, and they were probably pretty secret even before then.
After all that happened a legitimate size of the U.S Army was still operative as organization even 2 months after the outbreak when Rick woke up, that's crazy.
Why should Rick have agreed?
Why would Rick swear on the sword?! He might be willing to do something as fucked up as biting out a dude's jugular vein, but there is quite literally no reason for Rick to agree with a genocidal maniac who's only interested in feeding his own ego and murdering thousands of innocent people just for their resources and loot
Look in my eyes sir, you tell me. It came back full circle 🙏🏼
I had no idea this was the finale of the entire show. I guess that explains why they were just flying through the storyline all season
Locke and rick being in the same room is crazy
Daddy Grimes coming back to save the franchise!
I didn’t finish the ones who live, but have been seeing a lot on YT. I see how a lot of people say this show is “rushed” or at least the ending. I do agree but I think it was more or less mismanaged.
Let’s face it, Scott gimple has never been the best at managing nor writing. There are episodes that could have been cut to make the CRM have more focus be more of a threat. However, I am glad this show ended. I don’t think Andrew Lincoln would have signed on for another endless show. I think he signed on to give his character a proper ending because he was probably burnt out of the primary show going nowhere.
So, in some ways, I’m glad Rick as a character got an ending when the entire show never did. Even if it isn’t the best.
Surprised they didn't included walker Rick when he bit Joe's Neck, that was an iconic shot
It was right before this. He asked him what the worst thing he did to stay alive was. He said he bit a guys throat out and they showed the clips of him biting Joe, killing shane, slicing negan, stabbing that Hiltop survivor in the neck.

That prostetic arm is really cool🔥
Rick isn’t stupid he knows on some level Beales info is right and humans days are numbered with or without CRM aid I think if there was season 2 that’d be him dealing with the choose he made and finding out how he can permanently saving humanity
I thought Beale was going to be the one that cuts ricks hand off cause all the time he was trying to escape but nope happened 15 minutes in the first episode kinda thought that was pointless but great show truly honored I got to see Rick grimes come back
I love that if michonne had never found him, we know ricks plan would’ve worked. When he decided to stop trying to leave and accept he couldn’t, the plan was to eventually lead and change to crm. And Beale saying the he’d be the next leader is awesome. I don’t expect to see much more if Rick grimes other than his reunion with Daryl. And based off the ending, Rick didn’t really take over just went home. But I really hope we get some sort of clarification after there reunion that Rick took over the crm and started alliances and treaties with obviously his ol friends, commonwealth, Alexandria, and whatever communites that’s left around there and more. And basically becomes the new world leader.

like with Rick and Michonne their group had to reform it now them being aligned together can actually help humanity rebuild what’s left.
Once Beale brought up Carl and said 'But you couldn't save him' he was as good as dead.
Literally the worst energy for a dialogue while trying to kill one another. I zoned out so hard the first time watching. I did again just now. Wow. I thought i imagined the scene being epically bad. It actually is.
There fucking with the wrong people season 5 Rick cameback
Rick also caught on that Beale was not going to keep his promise about letting Rick’s friends and family be spared from their march. This reminds me to when Negan told Simon to just eliminate one of the Scavengers so the rest of them would fall in line but Simon didn’t follow orders and massacred them all. Just like Simon, Beale is also a psychopath.
Beale should’ve eliminated Rick when he had the chance but he listened to Okafor.
holy shit this is even more HD than my TV lol
Thank You 😅
How about not having a spoiler in the fucking title!
This scene sets up such an amazing storyline and then it ruins it lmao
fr
They shouldnt have done the march stuff in this show, they already took down the main antagonist, being jadis' info on him, wouldve worked better for a s2
Beale: Swear on the sword 🗡️
Rick: SWEAT 🤠💦
Wait where’s the smoke monster?
1:20 shane would have 100 percent taken this deal from major general beale hahahahahha
i find it funny that Terry O'Quinn played this character BEALE when i realised who it was i went (HEY THATS JOHN LOCKE ) from LOST it be so cool if he turned into the black smoke monster to VS Rick Grimes that be so cool
God damn okafor 💀
Wish this was in theaters, epic loud bad ass scene.
Whats even the point of having main bad guys if they just killed them almost instantly
Like The Pope
Wdym? Beale was the main antagonist, but for this show. No one said he was the big bad of the entire TWD universe
@@lirahbaril5807 yep just like whats the point i get short lived villains but im tired of the big bad guy thats not even a threat bit

I think its really cool that you replied this comment under basically all the other comments on this video
You missed the metaphor Rick keeps talking about with his dad burning the fields to bring new life the next year. Rick and Michonne taking out Beale and his troops clears the way for the crm city to grow and flourish. They say that at the end of the episode. It also makes sense the way beale's force were taken out. They were at a staging ground for beale's march to take back the world, so of course they would have the gas and explosives they have been using on civvies there. My biggest issue was them using a wet tarp to survive that gigantic explosion, like where exactly where they in relation?
good critique, valid points.
@@BearKat49 for real, you don't survive that kind of explosion. And rick survived a grenade???
@@BearKat49 how in half a season of world beyond they couldn't do what rick and michonne did in ONE episode?
best scene in the whole show ...
DON’T MESS WITH THE GRIMES 😊
Apparently, Beale's first name is Buster
I liked the show but we needed more episodes to make beal a real threat. I are hoping there are more big grouos of crm out there that come to avenge beal.

What happened to huck's mother then? I thought she was still alive. The CRM has been teased for years as something incredible and that's all they had? A bunch of wet blankets the lot of them. I did enjoy spin and i was blowm away, just blown away in the wrong way as i was never expecting the CRM to be finished that easy. Im surprised more people aint talking about it.
The best thing to do with TWD is just enjoy it for what it is, ive been trying to find the same spark since series 1-5 for years now but they remain consistently mediocre
I'm depressed, this was soo stupid... 😫 (but I know that it's still not over with the CRM 🤞)
Yup, just cause they’re essentially a force for good, doesn’t mean that everyone is going to agree with it.
They only took out the root of the problem, but like anything else, there’s traces of others still out there.
@@McKnlght Yes I hope it's not over with them and also Rick ! 😭

If only the rest of the show was like this / without the diverse black women.
Rick (Andrew Lincoln) wasn't even supposed to slide across the desk, his stunt double was, but he took matters into his own hands😂

Bruh they ended this show not good.
Jesus was the dialogue really this over-written in the whole show? TWD original series was a decent drama for six seasons with well delivered dialogue, restrained. This is drunken first draft, say all the themes and character points in one go, shit.
Why did he say god damn okafor
Because Rick is an A , the CRM kills A's because they are leaders who could infiltrate and destroy what they have going on. Okafor bargain with Beale to keep Rick alive
Why he killed him?
Didnt believe in his shi
cause John Locke is bad

We got other Star generals, beale is a 2 star major general
Episode 1 and 4 were good, that’s all tho
The Walking Dead fell soo sooooo soooo far. It makes no sense. It is unwatchable.
Killing him off so soon was a big mistake along with rushing this spin off that had so much potential to put this walking corpse of a series franchise back on everyone’s radar
AMC sucks!
