Wow that’s pretty cold. Don’t blame you for hunkering down during that time. We have gone down to -40 before. But not for very long. Thank god. Nothing says it’s cold like getting in your truck and it feels like you’re sitting on a cement block until your truck warms up. We love your videos. House looks great.

I must admit, I love the closet floors the way you did them. My OCD would be activated if the bedroom floor and the closet floor ran two different directions lol! 😂 But that's just me. To each their own.

The weather there is some kinda wicked nasty...-58° F sounds like the Arctic Circle..😮 Ya'll be careful, important stuff freezes pretty quickly at those temperatures. The closet floor looks awesome, as does the drywall job ya'll did. Love ya'll ❤️

Now I have to go get a rabbit to cook. I remember you gave me that rabbit stew recipe. I liked the road trip to Delta; it was nice to see the scenery again. I liked the flooring layout because once you get moved into the closet, there will not be much showing. The storage in that space is amazing. You will need to build a roll-around ladder. one thing I Don't like Is watching wild animals killing, usually move pass it. Don't have problem people killing wild animals it not my thing. Plus, I don't eat much meat

I think you should consider a webasto heater for them emergencies.
You only need a 1-2gallon plastic fuel tank, that block will be 130°f is 30 mins. And it will take 20 runs to burn that tank.
Another winner, love your respect towards each other. Something that unfortunately couples don’t seem to understand so much at the present. We see them screaming at each other! Hey Ryan, I haven't done it in a long time but when snaring an old timer said make sure the hoops were perfectly round or the rabbits wouldn't go through. Hope that helps. Vaughn is an awesome helper. Nice work

Those tacos look great. Up in northern maine, it gets into the negative numbers for a few days at a time, but not anywhere near what you guys get. Place is coming along nicely.
Just thinking, why don't you put a wood burning stove or something like that, in the generator shed? Just to keep it warm enough that everything in there keeps working. Keep the propane inside and make a connection to the generator.
well we don't have as cold and long as we used to but I remember back in the 90s there were a few years when at night it dipped down -60 to -65 below and we hit -40 this year already again but yes when happened we shut it down and stay in our house and wait it out

Great work on the continuation of your home build. Folks there are insulation blankets electric and just a wrap style for propane tanks. The electric ones are a bit expensive. Might help during the real brutal cold snaps. We get them too. Thanks for the vidya. Scott Alberta 🇨🇦

Whether is moose bear wolf or a grouse, I never get tired seeing them in the yard. The floor looks great….but as beautiful as it looks I’m with Von, I would love it going the other way. The stew looks fab, I could almost smell. We are having moose and gravy tonight. Thanks guys 🇨🇦❄️

I cannot even imagine!!!! Omg that's cold...I think Alaska is beautiful ,but I could never live there in the winter...we was fortunate here in Michigan we had a mild winter ,here in February and we have had mid 30s,low 40s which is great but unusual for us..we had 2storms .in January giving us up to 15inches in 2storms within 3 days ,but it's almost all gone now with our temps..we've had more rain then snow..anyway love the floors ,things look beautiful!! Stay safe ,and warm..

What an amazing video! Your cinematography is outstanding and is to be commended. I can't imagine living in such extreme cold temperatures. I complain when temps in my area drop down into the single digits F. Your house is really coming along and is looking fantastic! Great work!! Ryan, that rabbit stew you made had my mouth watering. My dad used to raise Rex rabbits for their pelts back in the late 70's and early 80's, so we ate a lot of rabbit back then, and it is absolutely one of my favorites. We never tried it with cornbread, however, so that's something I'm going to have to try. Once again, great job and I can't wait to see what comes next. God bless you both!!!

Great video! Love rabbit as well! My family always made Swedish meatballs using rabbit and put it over noodles. That stew looked delicious! -58 is really cold! I guess the interior in winter is not a place to hold a global warming conference…or is it?😂. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the great videos and work on the house!

I al3ays wonder, when watching different channels videoing while driving, it always appears like you are carrying a good bit of speed...so, I'll ask...how fast are you driving on those roads, and, do you have studs in your tires, and what kind/type tires do you use?: And, (sorry) how long do they last?
I didn't realize that the temps had so much affect on your vehicles or the propane for that matter. Maybe a good project for the spring/summer, would be to build you a shed, kinda like your woodshed, to park the tractor, at least one of the trucks, and the snow machines, with minimal, (if any) isolation. And some type of doors and a wood stove to keep or at least build a fire for long enough to get them warm enough to be able to use them. If for no other reason, in case you had an emergency (injury or sickness) and had to leave your property.
Also wondering if you could not use some heating pads(I know the sell them to stick to engine oil pans and trans pans, to stick to your propane tanks to keep them warm enough to still be able to gas off and run your gen shed?
As far as the rabbit stew, it sounds very tasty! The one thing I would change(because having t sift through the bones is a deal killer for me, the fit time I would crunch down on a bone, I'd be done) I'd biol the rabbit, then de-bone it, they fry the rabbit meat. The water from boiling the rabbit is what I would use instead of the beef stock. Then, I'd/you'd have a stew that is just shovel in my mouth as fast as I could chew and swallow LOL Also, I like the addition of the mushrooms! Most folks don't realize that adding mushrooms to a meat recipe kinda sorta makes it seem like you have more meat as you do because the mushrooms, for me anyways, takes on the other flavors, which in your case the way you prepare it, would be the meat.

I think the floor is amazing!! Holy moly -58 wow! The rabbit stew looks really good. Have a question for you, is the bathroom going to be the same flooring? Because if it is it will make your house look bigger than it is and yes lay it all in the same direction if possible to achieve the bigger look! If you can't tell I used to watch a lot of HGTV lol
We have a different flooring for the bathroom.

What weather station are you using? Mine stop at -40… it was all guessing after that between old thermometers during the cold stretch.
I don’t have that large of generator, but I was going to do a Nordic oil drip stove for my generator shed. I have 7000 and 2200 watt Hondas so it’s easier to deal with in the cold by bringing inside. The colder it gets, the simpler the solutions need to be.
We have our own weather station outside.
I always made a pot pie with it. Family all moved away that hunted here, so don't get it anymore. Love that you added your recipe in the video. Too cold for me. The house is looking great. One thing at a time, you'll get there. I like your choice on doing the flooring that way. Love from Western, N.Y.

Thanks for the rabbit stew recipe. We have lived at our place for 30 some years and have never had rabbits in the yard area. This year they have moved in. Thanks Ryan for showing me how to snare a rabbit. If I’m able to snare one we are trying the stew

It’s always a risk but I try to check the snares regularly.
Ryan how deep is your frost level?
can you go blow low ground for that constant temp?
Our frost depth gets as deep as 14’ so getting below it can be a challenge.
