I shared about checking out what is "trending" for Spring 2024 to get my imagination working.
This week I'm showing how those trends I saw (especially from this article about the Spring 24 Ralph Lauren Ready to Wear Collection bit.ly/3POLkDv) got me layering my own clothes in different ways and experimenting with bags and belts.
I haven't completed my Spring 10-item wardrobe yet. This is step 2. I think there are going to be about 4 altogether. I hope you come back next week to see Step 3!

The blue floral dress and blue sweater combo I thought was darling! So was the longer greenish sweater with it. Also the first outfit was so cute! Happy experimenting!

I love your blue blazer. I think the belt definitely works for you, and Im glad you are getting comfortable with trying the belts. It really takes getting used even to feeling it on your body and seeing it on yourself doesn't it? Like you, I, too, have trouble with belting and tucking because I don't like to draw attention to my waistline. But I would like to add accessories to my wardrobe as I've been wearing jeans, a long sleeved T-shirt, and western work boots for most of my adult life. The dilemma, since these articles are my daily wear, just by adding an accessory such as a belt makes me feel like I'm dressing "UP" 😂

I think the English style suits your coloring. I actually think you look more pretty and less matron😉 without the belt. I like the softness of uninterrupted lines on you. It mirrors the softness in your voice and bone structure. Full disclosure, I’m not a huge belt fan as I too am short and I like to be able to breathe deeply into my belly. I feel like belts hinder me. I do love the addition of blues. I’m deeper south than you so we are already in the mid eighties. Would you consider consulting on rooms or clothes? I’m having a bit of challenge in both directions.
