I own one of these beauties. They just have little hiccups like this after what, 20 years of beautiful driving. I think mine will outlive me at this point with 200k miles on it. Thing runs smoother and quieter than brand new cars idling next to me.
Did you really only need to lubricate? Did the servo continue to work afterwards? I have the exact same buzzing and can't properly direct the air flow. Only blows out of the dashboard, floor, or driver side left vent. I am dreading having to remove the screws that seemed hard to reach. I went ahead and ordered a new one but would be nice if I can just clean and lube the old one and be back in action. Didn't want to do all that work for it to fail shortly after. Let me know, thanks
Hi. Great work. On the way to replacing the other actuator, I pulled the servo. There are two spacers (not washers), which slide along the plastic slots. One is messed up. In a conversation with a dealer, he says there's no part number for the spacer, just the part. That indicates to him it comes with the servo. I'd rather not have to order the whole thing just to get the spacer. Does anyone have spares?

Hi Harold i didn’t replace any parts, I just put lubricant on the gear , it dries up because of the age of car.
