- We took another trip out to our gold mine to see if we could find enough gold to make money dredging. We are preparing to take a suction dredge out on our next expedition. Will it pan out? #HowtoAlaska

In 10 years, i never panned my cons into the stream, as it is a great way to lose fine gold. pan into another pan for a reveal, do a proper cleanup with the proper tools at your convenience. It is a lot of work to get that gold, and it is a shame to give any of it back :)

Dredging had to be awesome., A team of us spent 2 weeks in August on the Fortymile river shooting TH-cam videos of our dredging. Each of us found over 1/2 ounce a day of flour gold. Your gold looks chunkier. Nice video, Thanks for sharing

So I am at my desk watching this video when my wife comes in and over my shoulder, she starts watching. All of a sudden my wife says I know that guy (you), he did the gold panning at camp we were just at. Small world. BTW great video thanks for sharing.

Try circular motion at the bottom of the panning instead of back and forth it doesnt scatter the gold as much just a thought good luck i had fun when i was up there from Fla.

You need to get a snuffer bottle. Then you can suck the gold out of your pan with it, instead of trying to pick it up with your fingers. They only cost a couple dollars.

I have one I just had misplaced it. It’s a pain to go to town and pick up a new one so I just went without.

How to Alaska
Cool, I was wondering if it would be difficult to get involved with, maybe even invest in with a team?
I was wondering if it would be difficult for an American to get a permit Etc to mine in places like Nome Etc?
I guess would not be able to get a permit to mine because of immigration laws and work permits, but an American would.
Not sure on the laws for investment in a team but Im sure their are many ways around it.
I’m sure people from out of country can get either work or tourist visas to do some recreational mining or even potentially commercial but I have no idea where you would start

I will have to look into it, I was watching Gold Divers based in Nome today and Im guessing with the permits to mine that they have to buy you need a Social Security No, and those are extremely hard to get in America, Unless your an American of course.
Any dealings ya would have to do with Immigration would be a Nightmare!
It maybe a lot easier for me to get into on some Gold Mining if I was to invest with Americans to do the mining, if ya see what Im saying.
