Grammys should be fair to every artist. NO MATTER IF THEY HAD BEEF WITH THE ARTIST OR NOT. Some artists are flooding in grammys while others who deserve it don't even own one. Yeah, idgaf I'm calling the grammys out, especially if it's the biggest awards show in the music industry. You have to judge the artist based of the performance of the art.
Grammy awards are not for spreading the wealth or reward everyone with a participation prize. Grammy goes to the top of that category no matter who created it. Artists do not deserve Grammys, only their art. It should not matter who created or how often or where it was performed.

The Hozier song you're referencing is "Work Song," which is from his 2014 album, so it wouldn't be nominated this year. It's recently popular again because of TikTok. He did however release a new album in August called "Unreal, Unearth" that is my personal AOTY, so I'm outraged he didn't get a single Grammy nod.

been by miley’s side since day one. i’m so beyond proud of her and despite some people thinking flowers isn’t that strong of a song, it was long overdue considering how much work she’s done since she was a child. to me those grammys are for all of her work combined and that’s good enough for me. i love her so much. also as much as i love taylor and grew to enjoy midnights , everyone with common sense knows this is the one time she time she didn’t deserve album of the year. seemed like this wasn’t for her work and more so because of the year she had which is infuriating because this is supposed to be about the music and midnights is not even close to her best work. it’s just unfair and biased and not surprising but still disappointing

The 2024 grammy nominations were for items submitted from October 2022 -October 2023 . that's why Beyonce's album wasn't there .
Taylor Swift’s Midnights is not in the same conversation with Fearless, 1989 or Folklore. But because of the Grammy’s, now it is. 😞

Yep, and I don't know why Beyonce is in this conversation at all. It's not as if she was snubbed, she was in last years category and lost out to Harry Styles, which she definitely should not have. She deserved it 100%, that convo should have been last year, instead of this year. She wasn't even going up against taylor.
Beyoncé and Taylor have only ever been nominated against each other in the AOTY category one time, and that was when Taylor won for Fearless and the hive isn’t mad about that. Renaissance losing last year was truly ridiculous though.
Right, people saying that Beyoncé hasn’t won because Taylor is a favorite is just factually incorrect. AOTY like you said, Fearless vs I am Sasha Fierce was the only one they were nominated in the same year. And industry people all agree that was Fearless´ year. Taylor “sweeping” with Grammy’s is a misconception. She has won 14 out of her 52 nominations: 4 AOTY, most nominated artist ever for SOTY (songwriting) and has never won, ROTY has never won. So other than her AOTYs most of her awards are for country (early albums) or pop singles or pop/country albums and a couple music videos - all of which are considered “lesser awards.” Beyoncé not winning has nothing to do with Taylor. IMO she deserved AOTY for Lemonade (Adele won), Renaissance to me was a stretch to win given the genre. It’s just not a genre that normally wins AOTY. Just my opinion, dance/house is not my vibe and I still gave the album a few tries. But Jay z saying “some people don’t deserve to be in the category” brought everyone back to the Kanye moment and assume it was a dig at Taylor. I hope it wasn’t meant to be that especially after she repeatedly defended Beyoncé last year with regard to their tours/tour movies being pitted against each other in the media. To be clear, totally agree with Jay z message except for that one line. People look up to Jay and for him to say they don’t deserve to be there, so crushing. There is no need to tear people down to lift yourself up.

Renaissance was nominated for Album Of The Year last year ahd lost it to Harry Styles and his flop album. The controversy was about Jay-Z who won a Grammy and said that even though Beyonce has so many nominations she doesn't have a single win in that category. People thought that was a shade to Taylor but that wasn't. That was a shade to the recording academy.
Even though I was rooting for RENA at last year's Grammys, we don't need to lie, Harry's album was commercially much bigger than hers
It absolutely was shade towards Taylor! He said there are people in that category that shouldn't be and others are getting robbed. Jay pulled a Kayne but worse. Everyone know Kayne lives to insult people. Jay knows better! Especially since it was Taylor. People are non stop pitting Women against Women in music, especially Beyonce and Taylor. They are both beautiful, talented Women. They are completely different artists. Thank goodness all artists aren't exactly alike. We wouldn't get to enjoy a wide variety of Women in music. Sorry about my rant. I am not directing this at any specific person. Jay made it into a race issue and Beyonce's excellent album was not available to be in this year's category for album of the year. It was in last year's. The eligibility is determined by when you put out an album. There is a cut off date each year. You can still win other awards the next year(best r&b, pop, rap etc) the next year because certain songs may not have been released as singles when the album was released. I am sure Beyonce was embarrassed Jay did that. No artist should put down other artist. Every artist knows how hard each other works. They can not like others music or the person but the respect for the work should be there. Beyonce and Taylor show up for each other. It is certain people that have an issue with Taylor. After Beyonce came to Taylor's movie concert opening Taylor posted a very nice note praising Beyonce for being such an inspiration to female artists and helping pave the way. Also how excited she was that Beyonce came to her movie opening and how supportive she has been towards her. Yet the dumbass Man-boys have to start crap and make everything about race. The Grammys added a diversity person a couple years ago to make sure they had a very diverse group of voters. Taylor can't get a break or have her talent recognized without backlash, mainly because of her skin color. Our Country needs to come together not create more division.

Jay's comments were directed towards Taylor. There were other black artists in the category. He said some of the artists shouldn't be in that category and others will feel robbed. It was extremely disrespectful! He knows better. Artists shouldn't discredit other artists. They understand how hard each of them work. You can have your favorites but it is uncalled for to disrespect others. He is no better than Kayne, actually worse because Jay knows better. Kayne is just an idiot. Beyonce and Taylor support each other. Taylor posted a note praising Beyonce after she came to the opening of Taylor's concert movie. She said how much of an inspiration Beyonce is to her and that she paved the way for female artist and some other artist. Taylor fly from Kanas to London to support Beyonce for her concert film. Jay made the award about Beyonce and race. Therefore it was a direct slam towards Taylor.
I am not referring to most of the people commenting on here but at least 90% of black creators on TH-cam and social media bash Taylor and because of her race. All races should be coming together not creating more division. There is already too much division on lots of issues in our Country. ❤
There is this misconception that Beyonce continues to lose to Taylor for Album OTY - this only happened 1x in 2010. Beyonce lost to Beck (wtf), Adele, and Harry Styles.
