    Such a cool idea, it actually appears with cloth you have more control of the watercolours than on paper.

    Really helpful video! I’ve seen people do watercolour embroidery, but I didn’t know how you would go about it and after seeing this video I feel like I can try it myself!

    I tried to do this and the colors were too intense. Thanks to your video I now know the right way to do this. This is exactly what I was looking for.

    What kind of fabric are you using? I feel like different kinds of fabric would accept the water color differently

    So wetting the fabric helps the watercolor paint to not bleed?

      It may be that you are using too much water!

      Or you use watercolor fabric paint. I have those from Marubu (textile aquarelle). It will stay after ironing.

    I saw in another comment that you said you used cotton canvas material. Would this method work on cotton broadcloth though?

      If you’re going to use watercolor on the fabric then I make sure the stencil is faint enough that it won’t show through the design since you can’t wash it!

      @@crewelghoul thanks! I figured it was some other type of paint with a watercolor effect. So it would last longer. Or not come off in the wash.

      Dana Saucedo no, this is just for wall art that you wouldn’t be washing! I’d be interested if there was a paint similar to watercolor that was durable/ washable though!
