I had a thought if the ABC trio as we are speculating are and Artificial trio why not have them be an Artificial Zygarde in it’s entirety A will be fake 100%, B is fake 50% and C fake 10%
I think it might be AZ's floette that got mutated by the resurrection into a new mon. It would explain the vines, and give ca good counterpart to Zygarde. He's the order pokemon, while the new floette is a completely unnatural existence that goes against life and death

What if mega evolution x y for charizard and mewtwo also has a mega evolution A version. Would make sense if mega evolution stones are a fruit of yggdrasil. Also why else have a mega evolution x and y but not Z, if Z is disconnected from the phenomenon it would make sense. Also mother nature is chaotic so makes sense as chaos pokemon. Also in the anime in luminose city a bunch of vines come and invade it. And then grenija and zygarde goes to hunt it and leaves ash. Maybe our starters this game will have a special bond form that is different from mega evolution and similar to ash greninja, thus explaining that phenomenon as well. That even though chaos (innate poer and feelings) and order (discipline listening to your concious) can cause a bringing forth of power within, it is truly bonds that are above both and calls forth the true form of a pokemon. Is az's floette this form? I dont know since it might be the bond that awakened it or the chaos energy from the yggdrasil. But dont seem to be chaos since it permantly changed its form. But then it also isnt bond evolution or mega evolution since those disappear after a while. Maybe it is a form of evolution that once a flabebe holds a special flower that grows from or next to yggdrasil it takes on that form. So you cannot compare them. But ye idk

I thought Zygarde was based on Nidhogg, the Serpent/Wyrm that lives around the roots or Yggdrssil which was why it was Ground type. I hope however even if my personal idea isn't what works, I hope GameFreak similar to Enamorous in Legends: Arceus finishes another set, in this case a Legendary based on Ratatoskr, the Squirrel that lives on the World Tree and constantly angers the other beings who exist around it. While Jormungandr is a chaos entity to some extent, it's more tied to Ragnarok and the Norse Gods than the World Tree itself.

The 3 Zygarde Formes are based on Jormungandr, Fenrir, and Hel. The relationship of all 3 of them as Loki's offspring proves that Nidhogg isn't the main inspiration.
But it could have some Nidhogg traits, tho that may be coincidential cuz it is kinda similar to Jormungandr (both being serpen-like dragons)
I think Nidhogg would be cool for one of the trio, likely in place of the Helheim one since that’s sorta already covered with 100% Zygarde

Zygarde is actually represents 3 of Loki's children with its three forms. TTar is correct in saying that Zygarde is based off of Jormungandr, but thats only its 50% and 100% non-transformed state. Zygarde 10% is a dog, and another of Loki's most well known children is Fenrir. Zygarde's 100% Power Construct form however is based on Hel, one of Loki's daughters, and the ruler of the realm of the dead, Helheim. Whats interesting about Hel is she is described as a woman who is half living and half dead, with half of her body being that of a beautiful woman, the other a rotting corpse. If we look at Complete Zygarde, we see that half of its body has blue highlights while the other has red highlights, signifying that one half contains Xerneas' life energy while the other half contains Yveltal's Death Energy
As a side note, if we do get an A pokemon and we end up getting TTar's speculated new trio underneath it, Ratatoskr would be a cool norse creature to represent, we dont have any legendary squirrel pokemon
I actually had a little theory about the Galar legends mirroring Norse mythology, and while it’s not a legendary, it seems like there may have been a reference to Ratatoskr in the crown tundra, as there’s a Dynamax Greedent in the giant tree
@solgaleo3533 not sure if we are on the same wave length here, but I can make a few comparisons to Norse mythology from galar as well, considering the two primary legends are wolves, they could be a reference to Hati and Skoll, the wolves that consume the sun and the moon during Ragnarok. It's a stretch since neither have any reference to either the sun or the moon. Your right about the Greedent though, and it honestly could have been a hint towards Legends ZA, but that might also be a stretch to assume. With so little information about ZA at the moment, we are all really just grasping at straws here
@@countcr33per yeah. Another thing I in the crown tundra in that same area I picked up on were the Galar birds, and my theory was that they were offspring of Yveltal instead of Lugia
@@solgaleo3533 I acctually really like that theory, Yveltal does have some striking similarities to Lugia visually. I was always a little upset we didnt get a Galarian Lugia to lead the Legendary Birds of Galar. Though, its really only in the movie that Lugia has that relationship with the Legendary Birds. I dont recall anything in the games to suggest they have that sort of relationship.
Zygarde being the order pokemon while being based on the chaos creature is interesting. Perhaps the “A” Pokemon will look trustworthy but have ulterior motives? Draws a lot of parallels with our friend Ogerpon and her companion being judged off appearances

I will say Kalos already has a tree. It’s Xerneas. When Xerneas goes to sleep for 1000 years it turns into a tree, Yvetal turns into a stone egg, and Zygarde when not active dissipates into tiny parts of itself to watch the world

It originally showed up from the tree (IF I remember correctly).
Maybe they'll let us finally have that special version of Flolette.
Zygarde - The Protector of the Ecosystem (Last ditch effort to protect the world from threats)
Regigigas - The Continent Pokémon (Said to create and destroy continents)
Rayquaza - The Protector of Earth (Protects the earth from external threats from space)
I find it weird how Pokémon continues to create these legendary mons who practically serve the same purpose but just in different ways. I really wanna see Gamefreak or the Pokémon company clear up the correlations and don’t just spout of more mons with similar Pokédex entries or serve the same purpose and forget that these other mons exist and forget that they already thought of this idea years ago.
Overall, crazy how these mons exist in the same world and universe and are just “waiting” for something to happen and when it does happen then they do nothing because the plot says that we’re in a different region so the protagonists or “Ash” (depending on either the games or the anime) have to step in and somehow squash the beef between 2 legendaries who can easily destroy the entire region if they wanted too.
I don't know if we're still going with the whole Nature vs Synthetic thing but I was thinking what if you were on the nature team your starter would be only charmander and it would have a Z mega. But the synthetic has mega mewtwo A.
Mewtwo was a recent(within 30-40 years)pokemon of an experiment, if this is going backwards then mewtwo wouldn't exist if we were going 200+ years.
We can add that Game Freak is teasing a tree since Sun and Moon. The Tree of Combat, The Dynamax Tree and The Tera Tree.
In Yddrasil Theory Yvetal, Xerneas, and Zygarde represent an animal on the world tree. There is another that is a squirrel, assuming this squirel will represent the A - Chaos/ Anarchy Pokemon. The squirrel represents a messenger between Death and Order.
Also, their is a tree of life similar to Ydrasil the tree of beginnings in Lucario and Mystery of Mew. The movie goes into a war between two neighbouring lands which apparently is based in Kanto although the castle they used in the anime was designed and baded upon a castle in Germany which has a border with France (Kalos) The war that the anime movie shows us and the war that AZ shows us in XY and very similiar.
Expanding your theory of realms. 9 realms. 9 generations. This game may affect everything that happen in the 9 regions.
While I do believe the A symbolizes the cannon that AZ used (and also a reference to said man), the thought of there being a 'A' letter shaped legendary is interesting. Maybe it could be both?

I can't wait to come back here AFTER Legends: Z-A and see TTar being right about Yggrasil as the bad/chaos Pokemon that Zygarde had to fight.

Imagine if the “A” Pokemon ends up being Yggdrasil’s Pokemon equivalent, and this Pokemon just like Arceus, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina, lives in its own dimensión, and in charge of creating/ destroying/ protect/ the Pokemon multiverse, the different realities/time lines, like the ultra Space and things like that, I think it could be really cool to introduce a Pokemon like that
My theory
Z is Zygarde is a cell we all agree on that
Everyone sees the design on the 'A' as plant-like but i think it looks like veins. Veins can appear red or blue like the colours on the hyphen. The image of the town vaguely looks like a brain scan. The 'A' could stand for artery. This new pokemon is like a nervous system which goes well with Cells (zygarde)
It’d be SO gnarly if instead the ultra beasts WERE these other rhealm beasts and it all becomes connected , unlikely but epic
I’m betting a calamity Pokemon.
I would love for the pokemon to be connected to the Aesir more, perhaps in their new forms
Odin has a lot of connections to ravens, which could be how it connects to Yveltal, also Odin is always described as a death-bringer
Zygarde has obvious connections to Loki, with his 3 forms being Loki's children
Maybe Xerneas can have a connection to frigg/freyja due to how she tried to make baldur immortal, also another name for her was Hörn,
For the A pokemon I would like to see an electric goat that has close ties to Thor as the obvious opposite of Jörmungandr and maybe a move/ability similar to Thousand arrows or maybe inverse battling so the two would be super effective against each other
Also think it is pretty in line with the name to be looking at ragnarök as an inspiration for this game as it about essentially resetting the mythology returning us from Z-A
Two theories:
1. Imagine if Xerneas and Yveltal have been in 50% Forms just like Zygarde this entire time.
2. If Legends Z-A do take place in the future, what if they have perfected the Fossil Restoration Process?

In Norse mythology with Yggdrasil, there was a squirrel called Ratatösk with the deer on the bottom of the tree by the trunk and the bird on the top in the leaves. Maybe we’ll get a squirrel Pokémon 🤔
I dont think theres a chance gamefreak makes counterpart legendaries to the trio but you could have some cool Pokémon. Chaos for zygarde, the immortal Pokémon for yveltal, and the undead Pokémon for xerneas. They're opposite without just being the other one. We'll just get megas for the trio hopefully

The A legendary will hopefully be based off of Ratatoskr. A squirrel that runs up and down the world tree in Norse mythology. It’s often referred to as “the traveler” which they could use in the game for time travel
While it's a fun theory. I have to say no. As someone of Scandinavian descent (Grandpa came from Denmark) I am VERY into the mythos of that region. Now if Yveltal represents the eagle atop the World Tree, Xerneas represents the tree itself and Zygarde represents the dragon that "slumbers" beneath the tree; there is a fourth "being" in this set. And in some iterations, it's depicted as a MASSIVE jerk. I present to you the 4th legendary the Chaos bringer (in those stories): Ratatoskr the Squirrel. Wiki him. Now bear with me there MIGHT be a hint to this Pokemon in Sword and Shield of all places. In the Crown Tundra at the tree where you first meet the birds and believe it or not, you can actually "shake" that tree (I don't remember HOW I figured it out). If you shake it enough a dynamax Greedent will fall from the tree and attack you (I was so caught off guard, I almost lost that fight)! I also have a theory where this Pokemon might be. The idea of a world beyond ours isn't that farfetched. That's basically the Ultra Dimension in Sun & Moon. Which does explain Zygarde's Alola appearance and why it was there.
Yddrasil more like Eggdrasil and now we have the legend of the evil egg that will hatch.
What further supports this hypothesis is the fact you can see what appears to be roots in the A of the logo

An additional thing about Zygarde is all 3 of its formes could represent Fenrir(10%), Jormungandr(50%) and Hel(100%) all of which are children of Loki and play major roles in Ragnarok or the cyclical apocalypse.
I will say though Jormungandr isn't naturally a malevolent it bites its own tail to keep the realms together and its children feasts on the roots of the tree keeping it in check
I think A would stand for Aesir, as the Three forms of Zygarde are the Children of Loki (Hel, Fenrir and Jormungandr) are all destined to kill the big gods of the Aesir, snake kills Thor, the wolf kills Odin etc, so maybe the A legendary is like zugarde but it having multiple forms too like 10% being a similar form to odin, 50% being thor etc, and probably the story is flipped like the Ogerpon situation where there was a misunderstanding of the situation

Sorry for the double post, but just had an idea separate from my previous post. Eternal Floette, it was never released but was fully coded with a fully coded signature attack, Light of Ruin. What if the Eternal Flower AZ's Floette carries was from this "A" Legendary? Could mean that this legendary could also be Fairy type, and they could repurpose Light of Ruin into this legendaries signature move, if they dont bring the Eternal Floette back.
Also worth noting Zygarde could be based off of Niddhoggr

And what if they ironically make the "A" legendary a tiny baby pokemon or something small, but obviously chaotic. Since "a" is considered "beginnings" or "firsts"
honestly i could see them going all out with this game giving, xerneas, yveltal, and zygarde new forms. maybe 200% zygarde or something where it actually looks like jormungandr.
An interesting idea is thst "A" pokemon would absorb xerneas or yveztal like kyurem and necrozma, because odds are xerneas and yveztal would either get mega evolution or obtain a new form by merging with some of zygarde's cells. Which ever route would go when the "A" pokemon absorb one of the aura trio you the player must confront them with one the other member who has merge with zygarde's cells.
Here’s my theory: It is the past developed Kalos, someone who could not mega evolve pokemon him/herself makes his/her own pokemon. Hence, the paradox future pokemon. Since the person could not mega evolve pokemon he/she made Booster energy which boosts stats under electric terrain (like mega evolution with mega stones). Also, what is Lumiose City gym specialize again? Electric type. Anyway, the guy made too much of the future paradox pokemon, which in turn disturbs the ‘other region’ then war starts. Then the rest of the story starts as explained by X &Y
I like the idea of the A Pokémon being ratatoskr and being the guide for either the ultimate weapon or whatever the sundial is
I think the A pokémon could be based on Ratatoskr, the squirrel that sends messages up and down Yggdrasil. Ratatoskr It also said to maintain Yggdrasils branches, so you could still do the evil/good swap thing. Also zygarde is based off of Loki‘s children, Fenrir the wolf,(10%) Jormungandr the world serpent,(50%) and Hel the goddess of death.(100%) I think we’ll get either like a 200% or a 70% form based off of Slepnir the eight legged horse, who is also Loki’s child.
There is also a squirrel whom roams the tree and spreads chaos by lying about the other animals in the tree just for fun.
What if yveltals dormand state isnt as simpel as a cocoon, but should actualy represent a seed, while dormand xerneus kinda looks like a withered tree. If that is the case, it would flip their roles like the name of Z-A, End to beginning, Death first, then life after. A seed will grow into a tree and wither. But it will always be a cycle, order.
Until ofcourse A shows up and trows everything into chaos.
I thought for sure you were gonna show Bulbbyboi’s concept for a Yggdrasil legendary because he recently made a concept based on exactly what you’re talking about.
it could also be a good way to perhaps unite the pokemon multiverse. magic: the gathering had a similar story recently, where an artificial world tree was created to connect the various planes of existence so the villains of that arc could invade everywhere, and after the tree was destroyed it left the multiverse more connected than before so wormholes pop up that can take people from one world to another. pokemon has its own multiverse that they could do something with
What if the tree died and it became the ultimate weapon. It gave Yveltal and Xerneas their energy/power, which is why the weapon is powered by its own energy. It’s also why the weapon looks like a flower, it’s the remnants of the tree converted into a weapon
Something I found wierd about the Kalos Legendary is that, despite being based on Norse Mythology, there's no Æsir to be found
Instead they went with the random bird and deers for Yveltal and Xerneas, and the 3 childs of Loki for Zygarde
It would be cool if this "A" Legendary happens to be the introduction of a new group of mons based on the Æsir.
A > Æsir > Asgard, it fits really well. Maybe the "A" could be mainly Odin, but some traits of Thor and others so as to represent Asgard as a whole. OR in order to keep a parallel to Zygarde, "A" could have 3 forms each based on a different God (Like his 100% Power is Odin, 50% is Thor, 10% is Loki, for example)
Obviously they'd have to adapt it to fit into the already established PokeLore, so Zygarde is the good guy despite being based on the "bad guys".
If memory serves me right, in myths once Ragnarok starts, Thor dies in a battle against Jormungundr (Zygarde 50%) and Odin dies to Ferir (Z10%). Don't know anything about Hel (Z100%).
Since Odin in Myths craves knowledge like crazy searching for a way to break the cycle of Ragnarok, maybe it could try to dominate Xerneas & Yveltal to be the one controling Life and Death, which would cause Zygarde to intervene once the natural flow of life-force is changed.
The tree actually would line up with the Khu riddle with Archaludon and the trees from the forest in BW, but he said it was un announced.
What if he was hinting at this the whole time, the Yggdrasil tree.

Since Zygarde brings order between Xerneas and Yveltal, the hypothetical "A" Pokemon must bring Chaos. If there's anything I learned from the Treasures of Ruin and Pecharunt, that with enough amount of sapience, Pokemon develop more human-level awareness. Therefor, the "A" legend must be *evil* enough to have a moral agency. Mostly due to my hatred at how the anime makes the evil Legendaries "misunderstood" and look like saints.Giratina is basically the Satan of Pokemon, Necrozma tried to drain all light in the world, Eternatus is an abomination from beyond. Also, I don't want it to be ANOTHER Dragon type.
I never thought about how strange it is that the Ultimate Weapon looks different in the AZ flashback compared to when Lysandre uses it
My personal theory if there is an ‘A’ Legend is its based on Ratatosk the Squirrel, who carries messages between the branches of Yggdrasil. i’ve alway had it in my head that Ratatosk is a gossiper, spreading rumours and influencing the Nine Realms in subtle ways. If Zygarde is the Order keeping Xerneas and Yveltal in Balance, this Ratatosk’/‘A’ could be the Chaos subtly spreading Disorder between the two. I can imagine a little rodent-Pokémon with the A taking the shape of little rat front teeth. Dark/Poison type, maybe bringing in iconography of the Black Death being caused by Rats (this kinda more depends on which time period they decide to set the game in idk)
Another thing to note: while Zygarde’s inspiration as Jormungadr isn’t connected directly to Yggdrasil, there is also the dragon Nidhogg who gnaws on the roots of the tree.
Im not brushed up on my norse mythology, but i think you could definitely look at Yveltal like Hræsvelgr, also known as the corpse-swallower. It's said to live at at the north of heaven and is the originator of wind
Which you can link it's name and legacy of wind with it's move Oblivion Wind
For the A pokemon, i think it could be a mix of Odin and Yggdrasil, the centre of everything and the ruler, with Zygarde living up to it's Loki inspiration
the "A" pokemon being a parasitic tree is a interesting idea when AZ had sacrifice a lot of pokemon to fuel the ultimate weapons which is where this pokemon might be lying dormant.

Plot:
Pokémon “A” actually wins in this game. Portals open everywhere and chaos envelopes the pokemon universe. Ultrabeasts enter one portal, Pokemon related to jirachi and deoxys enter others portals.
The game ends and then in 2026 pokemon announces “pokemon worlds”.
Where you pick a region to drop into. Then hop region to region cleansing Pokemon “A” corruption.
