Hi i got a similar AVR with the one u show but there are no label as to which cable to connect to. Can u tell me which terminal or pin is positive and negative...the othe two cables comes from or connected to T7 and T8. This AVR is to be installed into a 12 leads 3 phase generator. Pls help me out Thanks Sp
Connect the two from the Exciter to a side, then skip the center pin, then connect the other two from the field coil to the other two. Forget the positive and negative.
Im still a bit confused...placing the AVR infront of you, the two terminals on the left are connected to T7 and T8 in the termination box, the last two terminals on the right (believed to be positive and negative respectively) connected to the exciter coil (middle terminal n/c)...my question is, do i have to connect them according to their polarity or not? eg. how if i connect cable from T7 to pin 1, cable from T8 to pin 2, the other two cables coming from coil to pin 4 and pin 5 regardless of positive or negative. What i mean is, it doesn't matter which pin to connect to as long as the cables are connected..hope you got the message...thanks a lot for your response
The two from the coil should go to one side , forget about positive or negative. If it doesn't come up, then exchange the two to the other side and the other two to another side.
@@mrengine ok i will try. why iam asking just bcos in a smaller generator with carbon brass it is important to connect the cables to their proper polarity and that is positive and negative..in this case, it doesn't matter as you pointed out. Anyway thanks
thanx a lot of. please make more video about philler and basler and man-B&W AVRs 🙏🏻 adjustment

How can I adjust voltage on Cummins 170kva
Check the adjustment screw on the AVR and follow the same method mentioned in this video

'tightening' is clock-wise
