FLYING TO THE HILLS | ROANOKE VIRGINIA

In part 1 of 2, we depart KOSU and fly to KROA in Roanoke, Virginia. After landing, we make our way to Smith Mountain Lake and enjoyed some amazing hamburgers! After lunch, we visited W91 a small airfield near the lake. Before heading to the hotel we drove for some amazing views! Hope you guys enjoy this mini-series!!!!

As you land in KROA, you can see my bright yellow Piper Cherokee (7:35) on the left side of the screen in the tie down area. I agree, you could have flown into W91 and stayed at the Bed&Breakfast right there on the field. This is all right in my backyard... I love living in this area.

Nice vid. Why didn't you fly into W91? 3000 ft is long enough for your cherokee 6.

Thanks! KROA was very close to the hotel where we stayed, but we would love to make another trip down and land at W91!
