    Ever since Chip Foose rose in popularity, classics are getting giant rims and they always looked gawdy to me.

    • @squidusn71
      @squidusn71 ปีที่แล้ว

      18 inch, maybe 19, would be the max imo. They need the size for big brake kits when doing a pro touring.

    • @weezlewubs
      @weezlewubs ปีที่แล้ว

      @@squidusn71 That makes sense. I was scratching my head at why this was a trend.

    • @squidusn71
      @squidusn71 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @weezlewubs you're rigth, though. Many car custom builders, Foose included, have been shoehorning 20 inch and above wheels on classic muscle cars because they think it looks "better" or go with their "design." Then the public, unfortunately, have to go with the trend. I like what DSE does to their build.

    I really wanted to see the engine build, trans installation, and the suspension. It was nice seeing the results of the suspension tuning, but please - I would rather see the details of the adjustments he made, what each goal was, and the thinking that went into it.

    Amazing and uncanny to always see someone taking a car and adding their terrible distasteful taste into its re creation.. Why would you make an interior all white.. just amazing someone likes that. same goes with the colors, why not keep the original paint it had.. ugly big rims.. you call that a muscle car? car looks like a joke..

      I respectfully disagree u can have a beautiful car in many different ways

    • @nuherbleath461
      @nuherbleath461 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Considering the car lacked a chassis and an engine, it’s only fair. The car is functional and isn’t rotting in a field. Also I don’t think I want to drive a 2 tonne car with 7.2l with drum brakes.
      Also I can see where you are coming from with them cutting the body. Anyway where’s your dodge challenger?

    • @phw340
      @phw340 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I can see restoring a car that has some lineage. Being that the fender tag and build sheets were missing, there’s nothing to restore it to. The VIN number only tells you a little relative to the fender tag and Mopar unlike Ford and GM don’t have good records of what cars came with what options. Off the top of my head from the VIN you’ll get if it was a base of R/T off the first two digits, the year and the 5th digit is the engine code. All other options were in the fender tag and build sheets. Would’ve been cool to see the VIN. This could have been a base 318 car and I would much rather see this car they made vs a 318 car back on the road.
