Working on a Merc AMG today - the entire underside was a plastic cover-fest.. Ballache.. Once them plastics all off, I needed to get the heat shields off.. Merc love their heat shields... EFFORT!! To add to the joy, I'm also doing the head gasket on a Navara. There probably are harder head gaskets to do, I've just never encountered one personally. Nice job on the Volvic Baz, as always.
Had the ast tool for years then bought a sealey with the depth tabs, you can loosen the Allen bolts on the tabs then fit the bush and clamp it in place by doing up the the tab bolts makes it loads easier.
baz cover your ears ..aaaargh another special tool there will come a day when you wont be able to do anything to your car but your honest not to many people like you out there
It seems to be false economics not to change both bushes when it properly the same age has the broken one when the car it's up in the air I think a one stich in time saves nine I have lint my lesson when I put off changing my AMG battery 2y ago when the stop start gave up working but when it started to crank slower I got my garage to renew it the difference it has made its like a new car the cold weather this week my car starts like it's a summers day now I turn the stop start off unless I am in long standing traffic
My 2007 Mondeo just had advisories for these on the MOT last month. At 233k, it'll be the second time they've needed changing. At least now you can get bushes on their own instead of whole new arms.. what sort of cost is involved in changing these nowadays?

The welsh countryside has done a number on that bush!

Sviđa mi se alat. Odlično je to. Odičan posao. Pozdrav...
Did the customer ask for only one bush to be replaced? That's madness. Why not get it done while the car is there and in bits!
Yes only the one
Thats so frustrating. @@bazmeredith
Baz glad I found this channel nice change after watching the boys over the pond!! and some of them like a good money shot!!
This looks the same as for a Mondeo Mark 4 - which I had to do on the driveway!! Cheers for the video
@@keithgale2596 exactly the same

Hours labour plus the parts
@@bazmeredith thanks! It shows the difference having the right tool can have.
Great video 😃. What kind of price is this to to have done by a garage?
Always replace in pairs - cheaper in the long run.
Chances are, the other Bush will go too, after all, it's done the same amount of miles.
Same tool as the ford mondeo / galaxy luckily
👍
I only watch your videos because you call us handsome 😂 only joking. Top stuff.
Underbody plastic didn’t do its job….. look at the state of the brake pipe ferrules…… ???? Chinesium
The curse of the EUCD platform. All cars built on that platform need trailing arm bushes. Not Ford and Volvos finest engineering.
On the flip side, it allows a MK4 Mondeo to run rings around its competitors in terms of chassis handling, so it's not all bad
@FatHead1979 That is true. Despite trailing arm bushes it is a fantasticly well handling platform and strong otherwise.
@@FatHead1979came here to say the same. My 2007 just had an advisory for these. They were last replaced by Ford at 110k, and it's now on 233k.
Will that tool do bushes on Bens TEA TROLLEY? 🫣
Stop talkin and just do it!!
Steady eddy!! It's all about making content and making people understand the job that's being carried out
@bazmeredith well theres content and content sorry, I'm out
@@eddybetanya by then thanks for letting me know you're going...
