It's December 1931 and Dr Cameron is about to turn 65. He announces that he is considering retirement so that Dr Finlay will take over the practice entirely. It leads to tension and emotion in Arden House, while the local dignitaries respond by offering him the freedom of Tannochbrae and Knoxhill.
