Hey @MrJearley6 - thank you so much for you kind words and checking out our new YT channel. And yes, she is clean for a 51 year old Porsche even though she has about 150,000 original miles. Also, please stay tuned for a video in the next month or two about my '73 911S with 74,311 miles on her. Please feel free to check-out our Instagram page too: @richards_d_elegance. Thanks again and cheeRS
Hey @pulehushortribs157 - thanks for checking out the video and ya, she is a looker!! The '73 911's are my favorite year for the classic Porsches. With a '73 T, E and S - I got the trifecta, just need the '73 Carrera RS, but in today's market - they're way out of my price range. Stay tuned for our future track day video in December and then the 2.7L motor will get a twin plug application with a show quality finish for future shows. Thanks again - cheeRS
I had a 1972 911S silver, black, sunroof coupe, had the engine built to the 2.7L RS specs with RS space cam for the MFI, sport exhaust with the dual tail pipe, the 1972 was the rarest of this generation, the oil tank was in front of the rear wheel to help with weight distribution, only year because gas station attendants would sometimes mistake it for the fuel tank, biggest car mistake of my life selling that car in 1991…
Hey @SmartFirstPrincipleThinking - wow, the '72 911S that you owned, sounds like she was a beauty and the 2.7 specs with the sport exhaust must have sounded great. Not sure if you noticed on our YT channel, but I also have a '73 911S coupe in silver and black, just like the one you had. She's got about 74,000 original miles with the OEM 2.4L MFI, and as you mentioned, the '73 911 model year moved that oil fill spot - back in the engine compartment. Thanks for checking our new YT channel - appreciate it - cheeRS
Hey @motorfab - thanks for your comment and yes, 1973 911 is my favorite year. Just a standout year for the last of the F-series 911 with black horn grills, black trim around the turn signals and brake lens, a square outside rear view mirror , rubber bumpers, etc.. Hope you enjoy some of the other content we have on our YT channel - thanks again - cheeRS
Hey @motorfab7014 - interesting, safety standards in Europe must have been different then the US market back then. I know the US market in '72 and earlier had chrome bumpers with a rubber insert in the middle, but Euro had all chrome - thanks for the info - cheeRS
@@Richardsdelegance ciao Richard, scusa scrivo in italiano perché il mio inglese è troppo elementare.
Nice vid well put together... 02, 3.2 liter six speed, 986 Porsche Boxster S over here with Fabspeed Exhaust, CAI, catless headers, IPD Plenum/TB, Numeric shifter, Bilstein performance shocks, H&R lowering springs, BBS Sport Classic rims (silver) etc... Not too much unlike your Spyder RS... minus the 4.0 liter GT3 engine but WITH a Numeric shifted 6 speed!! 😁 You got allocated for a Spyder GT4 thus you must have some serious history with Porsche... bought mine used and replaced/upgraded virtually everything!
Hey - @original2758 - sorry for my delay, but thank you for your compliment about our video productions - I've got a great Team for pulling it all together. Sounds like your Boxster S has got it going on with a whole lot of excellent mods, and seems like you've been kept busy with your project. I did purchase two other new Porsches from Champion in Pompano Beach, FL before I got the allocation for the 2024 Spyder RS. So, that's how I was able to secure the allocation. Question though - a bit confused when you mentioned 'Spyder GT4' - did you mean Cayman GT4??? CheeRS
Hey @thecostanzatheory - nice try, but she ain't for sale :-) thanks for taking the time to check out the video and she is a looker and I love driving the old analogue style 911's. Appreciate the, "wow" - thanks again - cheeRS
