This brought a tear to our eyes... Part of our brand We Are The Traffic is really about the idea of finding our own lane in life. Creating your own traffic through the people and places you surround yourself with. While it's sad to hear that Nicole has passed, this video along with the GVBC continue her legacy & memory. Thats more than many of of us will ever have in life and a testimony to not letting life get in the way of get the most from it. RIP Nicole and best wishes to J, your strength and support of her is inspiring.
Beautiful story I live in Rhode Island . I’m pulling my Porsche out of storage and taking it for a long ride because of this story please keep the tradition for her going.
Wow, this made me cry cause it reminds me of my late wife. We would just drive in my GTI anywhere and everywhere. Her favorite place was Atlantic City. The drive there is always beautiful on the Garden State especially through the fall season which she loves the most. She loves how the greenery’s change. She passed away from cancer on November 13th 2020 and next month will be her 4 years. I can’t stop crying, sorry. God I miss her so much
This is beautiful. Nicole and J are beautiful, the Porsche is beautiful, so is Newcombs and the drive up that amazing road. I will never forget Nicole’s smile and laugh and my time spent with both of them. Life is short, but love is everlasting. Thanks for the reminder of that.
This is a beautiful story and it shows the deep love and commitment that they had for each other. Nicole's spirit will always be present at GVBC and Newcomb's Ranch.
As a former Eagle Rock resident and current San Diego resident, I have heard about GVBC and have wanted to attend. I never knew the history, but had heard Newcomb’s was purchased. I can’t wait to attend my first get together. Incredibly sorry for your loss, J. Nicole was a force, you can tell. 🙏🏼
Farah and Magnus stories are great but this is so so deep. The emotion and story of Nicole….. and decades of changing kids lives because this video makes them think rather then “awww”. They don’t know it but you’re changing all of us in great ways. I rewatched this 3 times with my kids to teach them about life and unique situations. It’s too good. Enjoy life and its simple moments everyone. See you on Friday ! ✨✨✨. And Thank You Galpin for outside the box content and showing true life stories and adversity.
Thank you for such a kind and thoughtful comment, Henry. It is our aim to tell all kinds of stories that entertain as well as move the soul. The moment we began working on this with J and Nicole we were and are forever moved and changed. We love them both and hope to honor more people in the future the way they allowed us to honor them.
Shew.🥺 I read about this place recently in Road & Track, but had no idea there was such a beautiful backstory. In a few years we'll be taking our Stingray coast-to-coast and will be sure to stop in on a Friday morning.
I started following J & Nicole after I moved from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale. Like them, I used to work in the entertainment industry. Their Instagram page helped me keep a connection with the Socal car culture and Newcomb's Ranch. This video was really well done, thanks so much for telling their story. May she rest in peace...
Thank you for this beautiful story. It reminds us about what life and love is about and the unexplainable connection with cars. Please keep doing this content personally it is a breath of fresh air in a sea of media content designed to drown you.
Thank you Galpin Motors for sharing this story. I’m from the uk and came by your place on Thursday and really appreciated all you do, and the Porsche History there. Thank you.
Wow! I just watched this video with my wife on the couch. I'm so sorry for your lost J! My wife and I are car enthusiasts as well and enjoy taking scenic drives. Wishing you peace in this difficult time. Thanks for putting together this amazing documentary.
Nicole & Jay are awesome, welcoming one & all at GVBC. In awe of their brutal humanity in the face of the awful condition MS is. Will remember Nicole’s beaming smile & J’s grace - Good Vibes indeed.
Love this sweet poignant story. A human love story and the love of a fine car. We retired and moved to the San Diego area and bought an 06 Carrera S. It has led us to good people who are now friends and countless hours of driving nirvana!
Damn man, watching this is hard. MS has affected so many lives including ours for the last 17 years. There is no part of life that it does not influence. You deal with it because you have no other choice. When it comes up unexpectedly, like in this video, it hits hard because you instantly remember all the crap that you've been through and possibly will go through, and I wasn't planning to do that at 7am. I'm sorry for your loss J. Time for me to get myself together so I can face the day now...
WOW, thank you for sharing your warm, heartfelt and emotional story…I had tears in my eyes of joy even when its also sad…but I know she is at good place full of love and light❣️💫♥️
Realistically this should have been the finale or the end of the series. Doesn’t matter how many times you hear their story you can’t help but get emotional. And it’s why it’s not just about the cars it’s how they connect us to something bigger. GVBC is a great way to start the Friday for anyone that visits Los Angeles and is into car culture and great people
A tragic yet beautiful story, gorgeously shot, passionately told ❤ The perfect car to accompany you in that hardest time. Having a car this unique creates this legend of it. Fantastic. Just in awe.
Farah and Magnus stories are great but this is so so deep. The emotion and story of Nicole….. and decades of changing kids lives because this video makes them think rather then “awww”. Hands down the most moving thing I've seen on YT and it hits close to home since my mother in law has MS. Car culture is a powerful force, and I'm so glad to be a part of it for stories like this. I'm glad they were able to close on the property before she passed, I'm sure that was really special. Someday, I'm going to make a pilgrimage to Newcombs in honor of Nicole. Now I need to find more tissues.
Best one yet. May Nicole rest in peace. Those two are such a genuine couple - bucket list to meet J one day and get to check out the GVBC. So sorry I didn't get the chance to meet Nicole.
Wow what an amazing story! I knew as I watched it what the end would be but it is so motivating. Live every day with those you love, treasure them. Life is short, make the most of it! Safe travels to all involved with such a cool place and vibe!
I am tearing up midway through this video! You are a lovely couple and of course Porsche people too! I wish you all of the best wishes and good vibes! I am subscribed here and just joined your Instagram! I am “finishing” the restoration and rebuild of a 914….not a fancy Porsche and in some minds not a Porsche but was once owned by my dear auntie so to me is quite special! Anyway, hugs to you both from a Canadian on a Saturday morning! I just finished the video and of course my condolences, an expression that never seems to express enough but thank you. I will visit this place, I hope someday soon but, it is on my bucket list and hopefully in a Porsche too.
Thanks so much for sharing your story. So inspiring as well as heart wrenching and proof, if ever we needed it, that a Porsche can quite literally be a vehicle into a new community. Very best wishes from the UK for the next phase of your journey.
What a great, but heartbreaking video. So glad you told her story and showed us what a strong and amazing person the world lost. I'm so happy that they had a community around to support them through such a traumatic time.
Great story and very well done! I have followed them for years but never knew the backstory, thank you. I hope to see Darren and Danielle back at the ranch.
Love both of you and what you’ve created. Use to live in Studio City and saw Jay’s 997 every week passing by our cigar lounge. Met and spoke to you two few time at the ranch on the Friday runs up there. My deepest sympathy and didnt know that she had passed. Been away from Socal for over a year now I miss it.
Very touching and inspiring at the same time. Thank you for sharing this hommage to Nicole and your blessings. All the best for the future. Hang in there!
I’ll try to get there someday. But tomorrow, I’ll take a similar drive here up to a spot called Alice’s, and I’ll do it in Nicole’s memory. My condolences to her community, and especially her husband.
Wow… speechless. Now I MUST get a 911. The personal connections and authentic community are far more appealing to me than some frat boy TH-cam bros changing cars every other week. Please keep this going forever!
We are aiming to do just that. We have a small team here and making these great and polished takes time. So please bear with us. More episodes will drop soon!!
Prayers and condolence from the Philippines, J. What an inspiring story. Next time I’m stateside, I’m heading up there to get some good vibes. Your story is quite inspiring.
