I own an older version of this rifle, a Sabatti US Tactical with the Rover action in 6.5 Creedmoor. My first load development test, using Hornady 147gr ELD-Ms and Reloder 26, I shot a one-hole 5-shot group at 200yds. According to Quickload, pressure was around 48,000psi, and average velocity was 2870fps on my Labradar. I was sold. The rifle is not picky, and shoots 140gr SMKs, 144gr Lapuas, and 145gr Barnes well. The rifle has a long freebore, so it might shoot better with handloads. I paid a little over $1k new, and it came with an AICS-compatible magazine. I've seen a newer version, with the EVO action, selling for less than $900 new in the US, also taking AICS-compatible magazines.
@@gumannjonasson8800 Sabatti Rover action is the first, the BCM blizzard action is the new action on Sabatti rifle. There has never been a Sabatti with Rem700 footprint (I live in Europe, France and Italy)
If they plan to offer a legit 1/4 MOA guarantee, they had better have a good return department. Most folks don’t have the skill or the conditions to be able to shoot 1/4” groups even if the rifle is capable of it.
When I shoot to test MOA guarantee’s I usually have the front and rear of the rifle fully supported. I become more of a glorified trigger puller. Gun is completely rock steady when trying to shoot groups. But otherwise yes, the rifle can shoot better than I can.
To offer that its most likely with their ammo in their facility. The guarantee is for the rifle not the shooter. That's how I'd do it at least but for a factory $2500 rifle to do that before break in would be very impressive
I’m stationed in Germany and own a few of these. They are imported here under the name Mercury straight from Sabatti. I have shot alongside many others at the bench, in PRS and F-Class style matches. They are accurate yes, though .25 MOA I would not say that from my experience. Under MOA yes but not .25. I have shot a couple 3 shot groups under .25 but on average I would say my 6.5 creed is a .75 gun over 1500 rounds fired. My .308 closer to .6 MOA. I will say i have only shot two groups with the 6.5 over MOA over all those rounds but one was prob me and the other I think I hand some bad rounds as it was like 6” off to the right. That said they are accurate for sure. Actions are not as smooth as say a Bergara, a Tikka or my Custom actions, and I have had some feeding issues with both. Overall for an off the shelf rifle I,m pleased with my experience. One thing to consider is parts availability if needed. Getting ahold of the manufacturer is not a quick thing,
Retired and living in Germany. I also shoot : PRS, F-Class and Invitational (Government) Sniper Matches in Europe. Most of the .308 Sabatti TLD shooters are using the Hornady 208 grain ELD-M bullets and doing very well bucking wind!
I heard of Sabatti about 3 years ago and found the MRR very interesting. I was able to get my hands on the Sabatti Tactical EVO in 6.5 CM. I have had the rifle for a couple years and have been pleased with its performance. The funny part is that they advertise higher velocities from the MRR, and after approximately 400 rds, I'm not getting that. The other is the claim or their rifling being easier to clean, nit so much. But it shoots lights out for accuracy. The gun can shoot better than I'm able to shoot it. I have shot many sub 1/2 moa groups at 100yds. They are difficult to find parts due to the fact that there aren't that many of them in the states and no one really distributing here. It would be nice to see them more available here. They're a well-made firearm.
If that price is for the rifles shown stock included they will sell. For many shooters that level of accuracy and stock features is more than enough while saving a few bucks for optics. Hope to see them here with tons of reviews to follow.
I’d love to see this & the DD Delta 5 Pro have a shoot off. Both are very accurate and it would be a very close & interesting comparison. Say Use something like 5 factory match loads. Two 5 shot group per rifle per load. -Compare the single lowest moa 5shot group. -best combined average moa on 5 shot group. -best ten shot group with Whatever load was the most accurate in each rifle.
I have the exact same rifle but in 223 here in the UK,I've had it 2 years now and love it, I'm shooting 75g eldm and have to single feed it as the round is to long to be mag fed,,I paid £ 1000 ,as it was on special offer,
The front rifle rest sure looks like a Targetshooting rest, I own a model500 with upgrades and love it. I hope the Sabatti becomes available, it would fit the bill for a 308 nicely, thanks Ray I've never heard of the company before
importing rifles anywhere just sucks. This 2,5k dollar rifle only costs 1,3K euro in germany. it is considered cheap but still good shooting. But at least now you americans can have a taste of what it is like for us to get anything from the USA.
Wow! Awesome range and an awesome gun. Being able to shoot factory ammo of any kind at less than a 1/4 MOA is amazing. Unfortunately, I personally don't have the skill to get that type of accuracy out of any gun, but I keep on trying.
hi, it looks like you have an "old" version of the evo. The blizzard action (latest version) is a 3 lugs flutted tactical action and will be a"standard issue" from now on the evos.
I really like the way that gun looks and if it’s a shooter 2500 bucks is a steal .. but me and you both know that gun shops will jack the price up by double like with the FEG’s that were said to be 3500 bucks and they are 8 grand
I have a TLD RED, I compete in Ftr and once you find the gunpowder, piston, bullet, you can treat yourself with the best on the market at 600y... and at 1000 and have pleasant surprises, for me there is no rifle in The market that out of the box works well ,,, and they have been competing in F class for more than 10 years
I own three already. One in 223 Remington , 6.5 Creedmoor and a 300 Winchester Magnum. IFG was the importer. But I think that is changing. They had an auction a few weeks ago selling off the Sabatti guns and parts. Also their customer service is not that great. Replacement parts are next to impossible to get.
Looks like a nice rifle but I'm always hesitant to accept performance from a hand picked gun from a manufacturer. If they can actually mass produce a quarter minute gun(even though I don't think 3 shot groups are a good representation of performance) that's a game changer.
It wasn’t just one rifle. I shot about 10 different Sabatti rifles while I was here and they were all performers. Honestly, I really thought these were crazy expensive rifles and when I learned that they weren’t as expensive as I had assumed I had to do the review on them. Hopefully, they can maintain this level of accuracy when they hit the US. Granted, we only shot match Federal and match Lapua ammunition through them.
@@XRING Well, that's more encouraging for sure. Did you get the impression that these were just pulled off the assembly line or had they been previously tested to make sure they would perform. Even though they used match ammo it's still off the shelf which is impressive. I have yet to see a rifle that couldn't be improved with careful handloading so that will be interesting to see as well! Did you shoot any larger groups to check if they were consistent over larger strings? Thanks for the reply.
Yes sir, I normally do 5 shot groups as a minimum for grouping. However. I was a guest in a foreign country shooting their ammunition which is EXTREMELY expensive and difficult to get over there. Like 2-3 US dollars a round. I already felt bad enough about how much I was shooting. Also, I cleaned the rifles and removed the copper fouling shortly before doing this video. So, I did have to shoot enough to establish a copper equilibrium again.
@@XRING Did all the sabatti's shot that good? Looking to get one in 6.5 CM, I'm guessing in terms of fit and finish there not ever close to the victrix but also only half the price...
You are 100% spot on. They don’t have the finish and feel of the Victrix but they shot just as well if not better with the factory ammunition we had available.
Interesting but their website really needs some work, its very difficult to find the right information. Nevertheless I have still 4 months to make a choice
People spend thousands more on custom rifles to get them to shoot that good. If it'll do that with factory Ammo imagine what you might achieve with finely tuned home loads. Granted not much better cause its hard improve on that lol
.25MOA? Okay, the Sabatti might be able to legitimately do it… Good luck finding shooters who possess the skills to match their rifle as the majority of rifles are more accurate than their owners!
It depends on your shooting position. On steady front&rear rests, the human factor can be the least important factor. To my mind in this configuration wind is the most important and the rifle&ammo 2nd, human factor is 3rd.
Great question. Bullet group sizes are measured center to center. Take calipers and measure outside to outside edges and then the bullet diameter is subtracted from the total. That’s how groups are measured. 👍🏼
Someone is having a lot of fun on this bucket list trip.
