To me it makes sense because no one else has the balls or brains to take him on and everyone else in his family has forgiven him and as much as polly understands why he dies what he does she will never be ok with it and hates him more than anyone else in the world at this point, and I think in season 6 if he isn't dead he will go after Michael because he thought it was him and polly will kill him when he does
Definitely would make sense. I think it's more likely to be just Michael. Which would give us some really cool story with Polly having to choose between her son and Tommy. Could end up seeing Polly kill her own son to save Thomas.

Tommy and Micheal Scofield can outsmart just about anyone but Micheal Scofield has a conscience which will effect his decision making but thomas has no emotion or conscience when making a decision. So thomas is the badass and he will win. Heisenberg vs thomas would be better they both thrive when its life and death situation

Tommy is simply a product of the war, before it he was still a tough man but he believed in helping others and defending the weak, we still see glimpses of this with his charity and the way he’s now fighting against fascism. Danny Wizbang should of died, yet Tommy continually went out of his way and risked his own life for him, he did the same with Freddie and others. Tommy, Arthur and John may be gangsters but they aren’t evil, they don’t go around raping, beating and killing innocent people, they tend to kill other gangsters, if you remember when Arthur and John had to kill those innocent men on the train it broke the pair of them. Tommy is just willing to do what others aren’t, he bares everything on his shoulders so his family don’t have to, unfortunately it’s slowly costing him his sanity.
Isn’t even close, Tommy by a country mile. Jax is a very tough person and although he isn’t stupid, he isn’t anywhere close to the intellectual capabilities of Tommy or Michel. Michel, while very smart, isn’t close to Tommy either, Tommy is a natural born leader, he’s fearless, brave, tough and can out smart most people, Micheal is more book smart, rather than war smart
