Hello! Here is a good video showing how to shave out the paw pads. At 2:21. You might also want to consider purchasing booties for grim. th-cam.com/video/QigNRmmrpvA/w-d-xo.html
Is it possible to do a time lapse video of snow falling? Maybe 30 minutes to an hour with the mountains in the background? With either wind/snow sounds or just chill music. I notice you have some clips in your videos that I would love to study or nap to!
I’m a 60 years old granny living in Indiana USA and I know that it is highly unlikely that I’ll ever have the pleasure of visiting Svalbard. Your videos are the closest I’ll ever get and I’m enjoying them immensely. I thank you for that and the wonderful work you put into them. Big hugs 🤗
Who else is OBSESSED with Cecilia and Grim??? My day just got a whole lot better… I love drinking my morning coffee and watching these vlogs Love from NYC ❄️✨❤️
New sub from Nebraska, U.S.A.! Your vlogs are soothing and relaxing to watch and very informative. The peacefulness alone would be easy to get used to! It's 4:30 am and I'm awake at this time every night/early morning because of our oldest dog. He's having incontinence issues and I'm doing prevention duty because I usually get up anyway! You're my 4AM therapy and meditation person. I am looking forward to new stories! Plus, Grim is beautiful! ❤
Grim has completely taken over your TV room! Hysterical! He is definitely your little Drama Queen, but he deserves all the love & rubs. Sweet boy, glad he's ok!
I used to work as a veterinary nurse and his reaction was very normal. He's such a good boy and looks like you've got a great vet to keep him healthy :)
Grim is adorable! It is normal for him to be very nervous at the vet and when cutting his paw fur. I also think he fears slipping on smooth floors and those floors feel weird to walk on.
I’ve been through a lot of trauma over the past few years. I got sick with an autoimmune disease that took five years to be diagnosed. Lost everything. Then I got diagnosed and very shortly after got Covid and almost died. Then I lost my hair from almost dying from covid. Most grew back, thankfully. But not all, and I’m always on edge, always a bit stressed, like my body just hasn’t let go of the trauma. My life has been a lot better after everything. I moved to a small island in a semi familiar place. Got a job where I can work from home. Have been working on my health in big and small ways. Life has gotten better and more peaceful for me. I truly believe that watching your channel will be a big part of my healing journey. These videos are so impactful, delightful, whimsical and fun. I watch your videos and think, my body will destress, my hair will regrow, my skin will clear up, my wrinkles will go away😂😂😂 maybe not all of those things will happen, but I am so, so happy to have found your channel. It’s truly special❤❤❤
Keep telling us about the time. I like to know what time it is during the day but still dark! Enjoying your life stories on Svalbard. Love Grim. He looks soooooo happy. Thank you. Hello from Canada 🇨🇦
It is all daytime. In winter the sun rises like at 11.30 am, sun sets at 1 pm. It is basically always looks like night time. Day or night, there is no sunlight. And if you make a video about your life on Svalbard, it is obviously mostly at daytime when shops and the vet is open for business.
Poor Grim! I’ve never seen him look so serious 🙁 before! He’s usually smiling away but boy, you would have thought you were stabbing in in his little foot/paw when Christopher was cutting the fur! On the other hand, he may have been playing it up for mommy’s sympathy, which he got 😂🤣
I watch these videos mostly with my morning coffee, because it’s such a relaxing and inspiring way to start the day. This one could not have come at a more perfect time! Get to sit down and enjoy the serene peek in your guys life. Thank you for sharing, the little things really are so special! ❤️
Grim is so adorable, its wonderful to see the love and trust he has for you I just want to reach in and cuddle him, all that fur makes for messy brushing I'm sure. What a lovely way to end my day. Thank you for sharing.
This reminds me so much of my much loved rescued Springer spaniel, George sadly died six years ago and I still miss him. Just like Grim, full of personality and those wonderful quirky behaviours. He too, was reluctant to go to the vet and would pull all those faces and attitudes. One time I went to the vet with him, and he shot out of the vets arms and straight out the door while someone was coming in. I was frantic and so was the vet! Fortunately there was a pharmacy next door and I went in to see if anyone had seen George. Would you believe, there he was, sitting in front of the pharmacists counter with an expression on his face as if to say, could I have some valium please? He was so proud because everyone in the pharmacy was making a fuss of him including feeding him biscuits. 🤣
I believe Grimm was greatly comforted by you, during the uncertainty of the exam. My tiny, old cat acts in exactly the same manner. Reassurance seems to be the best.
I mean, how wonderful! You make even a trip to the vet a marvelous adventure. Loved the music and the views of the mountains, town and your cozy cabin. Great ambiance. Thanks much!
Grim is so adorable as always💖 , he's so loving and gets lots of love in return... I felt so bad for seeing him scared when he was on the examinations table at the Vets, but I think most dogs react that way at the Vets , it's like how I react at the dentist office...lol
I don't think the elevated table helped. I'm a tech at a busy ER/referral hospital and we always see big dogs on the floor, unless they present unstable/recumbent.
I’m so glad you popped up in my recommendations! I’m binging your vlogs and am now a little obsessed with Svalbard. What an incredible place to live! Winter and fall are my favorite times of the year, and this looks like a dream ☺️ Thank you for sharing your world with us, Cecelia ❤️
You and Grim walking towards your favorite mountain looks like an illusion. Like your walking towards what looks like a beautiful pencil drawing of your mountain. Absolutely stunning!!!
Thank you for your videos! I’ve been struggling with my mental health recently, and your videos have provided a sense of calm and inspiration. My dog Theo and I also just can’t get enough of Grim! 🐾 Thank you, from Canada! 🇨🇦
Cecilia, I'm a newbie watching you now for several months. I can see why your channel is so successful between you, Grim, the scenery, and the snow. Beautiful!
The quiet and the mountains are amazing! I woke up to leaf blowers and a car alarm at 7 a.m. so your video was so very welcome. My Shih Tzu and I love Grimm❤
I’m sick and at home from work today literally binging your videos on the couch - they are honestly making me feel better lol so basically your videos are like medicine 😬
Your videos and your sunny disposition (even in polar night) have been such a blessing to me since my husband passed away a couple of months ago. They bring me joy and peace. My only wee bit of sadness is that I didn't find you sooner; he would have loved your videos, having such an affinity for Scandinavia and cold northern climes in general, but even more would be how much he would adore Grim. Thank you for all you share and the simple eloquence of your words. -- with love from Connecticut
That is so beautiful with the snow coming down... Oh, poor, nervous, trembling baby! It always breaks my heart when my own boy does this at the vet or groomers. Giving him a bath, he acts like we're trying to murder him slowly. You have an awesome vet! Grim deserved those treats. I always love seeing a precious animal so well loved and pampered.
It's nice to know that everything was fine with Grim! I have a cat who is allergic that can cough once in a while due to that reason and they ( cats and dogs ) can get dry mucus membranes in their noses just like we can get too. First time I heard my cat cough I thought he was choking on something so I got very scared. I really love your videos Cecilia and they are so enjoyable as well as beautifully done with your personal happy touch! I say goodbye to you for now and I can tell you that it's rainy where I live in Skåne and it's 6 degrees outside feeling like 3 degrees. Take care, pats to Grim for being such a good but a bit shaky dog at the veterinarian! Susanne.
Hello Cécilia !!! Thank you so much again for this cosy video ! Longyearbyen is so beautiful with snow and lights ! And Grim is adoubtedly the cuttest dog of the world !! One million cuddles for him !! Thank you so much for sharing your daylife with us ! Good night Christopher, Cecilia and Grim !! : -)
Cecilia, I just found your channel on tiktok and have been watching quite a few of your videos, and have definitely added your home as a place to visit! It’s so beautiful and amazing. I love that you talk about all the community when you visit them, where they are from, and how they got to Svalbard! So nice to hear others stories.
When you said dramatic I was prepared for husky style yelping, howling, etc. He was just nervous, poor guy, but those treats definitely ended the visit on a happy note! 😂
I laughed when he walked into the exam room and promptly turned around and walked back out 😄poor boy was nervous but you are a very good mom and he is lucky to have you. Also loved the spa treatment! His cute little front paws 🐾 folded in the air 🥰 the day my dogs would lie that still while I messed with their foot! He is a very special boy. At the end probably having doggie dreams about his big day..🐶❤️
You can feel the love you have for Grim and he for you. He seems so happy with a tremendous joy for life. I'm new to your channel but I enjoy your videos very much and I'm in love with Grim!
My golden retriever Mabel was exactly the same. She passed in September. The dramatic shaking made me giggle so much. Vets are truly heroes, in the real sense of the word.
Thank you, Cecelia for posting the song! Grim is adorable and so loved and cared for! The young veterinarian is certainly starting his career in an interesting place. Thank you for all your videos, I treasure each and every one! ❤️
Loving following your life on Svalbard. My husband and patiently wait for new uploads. When we first subscribed, I said to him that I thought you had a little bit of an Irish accent breaking through now and then (I am Irish, born and raised, and now living in the US). Then you mentioned in one of your videos having spent some time in Ireland - I exclaimed “ahhhhaaaaa!” 😄👍. In any case, nice to follow you (and Grim & Christopher). Be safe, stay warm ☺️💚☘️
You've confirmed what I thought I had been hearing. I'm not familiar with Norwegian or Swedish accents so much but I thought she had a bit of an Irish accent at times. I barely found her channel this week so I'm playing catch up with videos.
Thank you for your uplifting and beautiful videos. It appears you are on your way to even greater TH-cam success. Hoping and wishing for wonderful things in your future!
So glad Grim The Gorgeous is well and hope his little paw feels better soon. He's got big ole paws, hasn't he??!!! Another soothing and relaxing video, it's so beautiful there so thanks for sharing your life with us all😊
My day was not complete without watching your videos.I love your videos,I'm a big fan.I love your place and grim, also his brother fenris. Both adorable.❤️❤️❤️
I'm not really a pet person, but I do love seeing the beautiful landscape in your videos 😊 I'd also love to hear from other ppl on Svalbard and what their lives are like. I know not everyone wants to be on camera (like Christoffer 😛) but maybe you could interview ppl about their jobs, how they came to be on Svalbard, and what they love or find challenging about arctic island life. Maybe a school principal, police chief, medical doctor, supermarket manager ... they'd each have different perspectives and interesting stories to tell.
Yes! Nice to see the vet. Thanks for sharing. I know my fur baby dislikes standing on the exam table that is cold aluminum/metal. Glad Grim got his health appointment.
Hi from England. My daughter Evie and I love watching your videos. It just feels like we are with you there (apart from the colder weather!). We love your content and Grimm. X
I fell in love with this place watching Fortitude. I didn’t do a search for this area but one day you just popped up in my recommended and I am so happy!! I loved watching this first vlog and I can’t wait to binge more 🧡
This video is actually make me look forward to the first snowfall and a cozy (yet LONG) Canadian winter. -12 sounds perfect. What’s the coldest it gets there? It’s not unusual for it to go to -30 here in Ottawa.
Yet again, another great video!I was wondering the other day about Svalbard having a vet as it is so remote. We are still not able to go in with our pets, it is sitting in the car, while a vet tech takes them in, then the vet calls you. Not fun, yesterday (Christmas) I sat in a car at an emergency vet clinic while it snowed, with an elderly kitty for nearly three hours waiting to be seen. So happy Grim loved his treats after his shots, he is such a cute boy! Thank you for your enlightening winter videos, I love to watch them!
Grim is sooo handsome!! He really is a Wonderful dog! I had an old English Sheepdog many years ago. The sweetest Dog you would ever want to meet. He was a very handsome dog too, he Weighed 110 pounds. Grims demeanor And happiness reminds me so much Of him. I am a big dog lover too. Also My dog loved the cold weather !! Thank you Cecilia, your videos bring so Much joy to people from everywhere. Sending love and hugs and big belly Rubs to Grim LOL !! 😁💜💜💜💜
I don't like cold and my favorite landscape is forested mountains but you have made me see how beautiful Svalbard is. Grim is beautiful too but I didn't need help to see that. Thanks for the great videos.
I love you’re vlogs…your beautiful little family of three. It’s the most relaxing thing for me, watching your daily adventures and your wonderfully simple yet extraordinary life. 😘
That place is so BEAUTIFUL! The part where you were walking in that field looked like a pencil drawing, absolutely breath taking. GRIM is such a good boy, my Sandy would love him, shes a border collie , and shes Grims colors, adorable baby
Beautiful video, Grim is so good in the vets, my German Shepherds are petrified from the vet, howl like wolves when they are in the consulting room. Kind regards from Scotland Johnny
I’m so obsessed with your little family and of course Grim. Looks like I’m not alone in having a dramatic dog. Although mine isn’t only dramatic at the vet. Love your videos.
Since I found you guys two weeks ago, I can't stop watching! I live in the US with a cold climate, but only in the winter. I don't mind the winter at all and I actually really dislike extreme heat in southern US states, but I'm not sure I could handle the subzero temps and months of darkness!!! Your home and city are absolutely beautiful and you are a very talented video creator. Your music selections are spectacular also! I've been binge watching on my downtime!

I can relate. I suffer from Winterdepression and these beautiful Videos have a therapeutic effect in me, as well. Good luck and light to you.
I hope you feel better soon! All the love from Grim and I 🧡🧡

Aww he is so sweet! I swear I fall in love with Grim all over again everytime! He's got such a beautiful personality 🧡
Thanks, I'm happy that Grim is okay, he is one of the main reasons that I really enjoy your channel, I love dogs period!

You are definitely evolving into a great storyteller. We love you Grim 🐾💞
Thank youuu 🙏
Sweet little Grim. He's adorable!
It was awesome to hear what Longyearbyen sounded like. Nice and peaceful.
My dogs have always loved going to the vet. They make a big fuss over them there, and they always get lots of treats.
Hahah 🤩
you can hear his happy wagging tail making a breeze that the mic picks up at the very beginning of the video, lmao! so precious!!
I love when you add the English translations, esp when you’re talking to Grim. It’s always so funny and sweet!
I absolutely love the outdoor light fixtures on your cabin. What a beautiful sight to come home to during these weeks of darkness. 😊
🧡🧡🧡
My golden retriever Mabel was exactly the same. She passed in September. The dramatic shaking made me giggle so much. Vets are truly heroes, in the real sense of the word.
Love you even more, Grim. Oh, such a good boy. Loved the vlog today, and Kristoffer is home!!!! Great one, thank you!
I am watching all your previous videos and enjoying them. I love the calming effect the scenery has on me and your gentle voice.
Heaven. I live in Australia and have never liked the heat and the dry, dirty brown landscape. This snowy wonderland looks like heaven to me.
Thank you, Cecelia for posting the song! Grim is adorable and so loved and cared for! The young veterinarian is certainly starting his career in an interesting place. Thank you for all your videos, I treasure each and every one! ❤️

Grim laying there for his "spaw time" with Christoffer at his feet and Cecilia petting his face is so cute I almost cry. 🥹
The Scenery and the music just hits the spot for me.....Beautiful

I love smiley dogs so much, and Grim is the "smiley-est"! What a sweetheart! ❤
Grim was just great. Yes it’s quiet and cosy. It’s wonderful. Xx
What a good boy Grim is. He knows that he is loved so much. Xxx
I love Grim so much 😍 you could do a full ASMR spa video with Grim when he next needs brushing
😍😍😍
Grim is just the cutest dog ever. 🥰🥰 when he lied down and curled his front paws I went "Awwww" hella loud 😆😆🤣🤣
Yes! Nice to see the vet. Thanks for sharing. I know my fur baby dislikes standing on the exam table that is cold aluminum/metal. Glad Grim got his health appointment.
The scenery you were walking in looked like a painting. It was so beautiful.
I know I’ve said this many times before but Grim is soo adorable 🥰 He just makes me smile 😊 ❤️
Aweee, he is like a baby! bless him shaking like that. He didn't even know what was happening! I hope one day I will travel to Svalbard and meet you !
So calming. Exactly what I needed today. Thank you Cecilia!
Hi from England. My daughter Evie and I love watching your videos. It just feels like we are with you there (apart from the colder weather!). We love your content and Grimm. X
Love Cecelia's video soundtracks. The song in this video is very soulful & haunting. Looked for it, found it: 'My Last Song' by The Eastern Plain.
Such care and respect for Grim.
I love Zoomies translates into other languages, idk why that makes me happy but it does. Thank you SO much for sharing Grim with us 💕
Hi Cecilia!
Thank you for sharing the incredible blue light🌌

Paw-dicure for Grim! I love the close up of his adorable feet.
Hi Cecilia!!, as you said, Grim 🐶 didn't want to get into 'that new room', but then he got happy with you! 👏👏👏🤩❤❤❤❤ I love your videos!!
This video is actually make me look forward to the first snowfall and a cozy (yet LONG) Canadian winter. -12 sounds perfect. What’s the coldest it gets there? It’s not unusual for it to go to -30 here in Ottawa.
The same here in Alberta. We had an Alberta Clipper yesterday. Nasty, nasty wind.
Polar night is my absolute favorite ❤️ 🌕🌛🌙
Not only Grim, Mom is a little dramatic!!! Love seeing you all well and happy. Hello form Texas!!
Wow, Grim was such a good boy with his foot fur trim 🥇
I just love Grim so much 🫶🏻
Thank you 🙏 for the translation. 😘 That mountain in the weird darkness is awesome. Love the quiet when it snows and the crunch of snow ❄️ underfoot.
Grimmm is adorable! 😍😍😍 Thank you for your videos🙂
So enjoy your videos.. and especially seeing Grim go the vet(as I am a vet in South Africa)
He is just the CUTEST, BESTEST BOY! ❤️
I laughed so much at how he just lays there like he is at the beauty parlour…my cat also kicks like a rabbit it’s hilarious 😂
Grim is sooo handsome!! He really is a
Wonderful dog! I had an old English Sheepdog many years ago. The sweetest
Dog you would ever want to meet.
He was a very handsome dog too, he
Weighed 110 pounds. Grims demeanor
And happiness reminds me so much
Of him. I am a big dog lover too. Also
My dog loved the cold weather !!
Thank you Cecilia, your videos bring so
Much joy to people from everywhere.
Sending love and hugs and big belly
Rubs to Grim LOL !!
Kind regards from Scotland
Johnny
I’m so obsessed with your little family and of course Grim. Looks like I’m not alone in having a dramatic dog. Although mine isn’t only dramatic at the vet. Love your videos.
I love that you have a favorite mountain!!!! That's so me too.
Grim is such a good boy 💙
Since I found you guys two weeks ago, I can't stop watching! I live in the US with a cold climate, but only in the winter. I don't mind the winter at all and I actually really dislike extreme heat in southern US states, but I'm not sure I could handle the subzero temps and months of darkness!!! Your home and city are absolutely beautiful and you are a very talented video creator. Your music selections are spectacular also! I've been binge watching on my downtime!
Thank you for watching! 🙌🙌😍
