@@spvidz Please do. Holding the tap tempo down while applying an effect allows you to immediately discontinue the modulation as soon as you let go. It's an extremely useful live feauture that increases your ability to take risks with big effects without losing the groove.

@@filmfruit8502 Splice is a service that provides samples free of clearance with a monthly fee to download a certain amount based on how much you pay. And even if you only pay for one month of service any samples you download are cleared for you to use. I would say that 3 out of 5 beats I make right now use samples from Splice.
It is so obvious now.. even in its name "isolater" with this technique I can drop out just the kick and keep the hi hat and snare or vice-versa... DOPE
You can add them in manually with the MPC using the sequencer. If you have your samples set to 'pad off' so that they only play when you are actually holding/hitting the pad then you can program in pauses wherever you want. You could also just copy a sequence and then use the delete function to create pauses too

That being said you could totally go black dahliah murder on any sample and chop any sample until it's damn near unrecognizable.

If you want the fat knobs like this search for DJ tech tools fatty knobs. Stickers are just ones ive collected over the years
