Frusciante, appreciated for his work with RHCP, but in my opinion still generally so grossly underrated. So talented, creative, humble and honest in his expression 😊
@Barely Taupe WHAT WHAT WHAT??🤯 I've seen them numerous times in the last 20 yrs& they literally get better with age. Flew to Brissie early last yr to see them with George Clinton (77yrs) & Parliament Funkadelic. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. EVER! Age is but a number, George & Parliament still bringing the funk & flea walking around on his hands! I cannot rave enough about how awesome this was!😁😀 Plus cos I was in a wheelchair I had a VIP vantage point.😀😁😀 If they ever come back pls make the effort if U can, u won't regret it!
@Barely Taupe I used to live in Glenelg & saw a few bands @ the entertainment center. I liked that it was smaller than other cities & seems a bit more intimate, close up & personal. I also know a lot of big name artists skip Adelaide which is a bummer but u guys make up for it having WOMADELAIDE! And they also have great facilities if yr disabled. The raised scaffolding is excellent. 😀
So many great RHCP songs, but my favorites include "Slow Cheetah" "Wet Sand" "Snow (Hey oh)" "Californication" "Otherside" "Can't stop" or "The Zephyr song"
I have pretty low expectations of them from here on but I absolutely loved the way Frusciante was playing on Californication. But I feel like all his ideas were gone before Stadium Arcadium
The guitarist is John Frusciante, he recently got back in the band. I highly recommend to listen to Californication by Red Hot chilli peppers live at Slane Castle, if you want to hear a spectacular solo by him
John Frusciante is the guitarist - he's is totally amazing! He joined RHCP when he was 18 and blew everyone's mind! You need to see Flea when he goes off on bass, too - totally insane. You've been hitting their ballads: time for some bangers. Try "Higher Ground (Stevie Wonder cover), "The Power of Equality", "By the Way", "Charlie" or "Give it Away". Thanks! Peace from SF
I absolutely love watching your videos, you show such appreciation for the artists and it's a joy to watch your reactions when discovering such talent 😊
This song’s great. I even remember some radio stations used played it just about every hour. It was really popular in ‘99 for a while after their Californication album came out. (By the way, John Frusciante is the guitarist)
Jay, I just need to say this. I have subscribed and unsubscribed from many reaction channels in the past year, except from yours: I've been following you since your humble beginings and I must say you never dissapoint. Nice choice of music, you keep it diverse and you always keeps it simple, clean, enterteaining and you are just such a joy to watch. I almost feel as if you are my friend :D Keep it up!
The Red Hot Chili Peppers is still together, unlike most of bands. The singer, and the main song writer, is Anthony Kiedis. Flea is on bass, and Chad Smith on drums. The lead guitarist changes -- current is John Frusciante (who only just recently returned ... for the 3rd time). He is the guitarist usually named, and is an amazing talent.
And actually, my favorite song of theirs is kind of a banger and kind of a ballad - "Breaking the Girl" is just eerily beautiful. Reminds me a little of California Dreaming a little but with a lot more punch. Give that one a shot.
This along with 4 other RHC songs are all written about a single girl that the singer Anthony Kedis was friends with in L.A. Sadly she was an addict and passed away. It is obvious if you listen to the songs about her "Dani", that it hurt him deeply when she died.
Anthony Kedis(singer) and Lady Kier(Deee-lite) used to smash in late 90's lol. FLEA(BASSIST) and Anthony! Have been in lots of movie cameos etc. Flea also toured with Jane's Addiction on their reuniting tour. I saw them in Dallas. Fantastic show!
This video was a great transition of Red Hot Chili Peppers members going from long hair to short hair. No one had anything bad to say because the song/video was so good. And this was different kind of music too. :)
There are soooo many good songs by RHCP. One of my favorite is Otherside. You should also watch their Can’t Stop live performance. Actually the whole concert is legendary!
Very specific memory. . . There was a kid I played soccer with. Then years went by and I didn’t see him again until drivers ed school. I remembered him from soccer but he didn’t remember me. But this song had just come out and we bonded over both liking it. I think of drivers ed every time I here this song.
This is what I grew up with as a teenager into 20’s along with greenday, offspring, Metallica etc. great music 👍🏻 early teens was ACDC, the angels, midnight oil , Bowie
Oh Man! Soooo many great Chili Peppers 🌶 songs.... Can't Stop, By The Way, Give It Away, Suck My Kiss, Otherside... there's still so many other great jams 🎶🎼🎵🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤
I have always loved this song... good message and beautiful sound. I was in my early teens when this came out and listening again just transported me back to that time. Amazing how music does that, love it ❤
That's John Frusciante on guitar, one of the best guitar players by feel in the world. He rejoined the band last year so I'm looking forward to their next album. You should watch any of their songs from their "Live at Slane" concert.
The first time I heard the album Californication I got hooked on music for the first time and the Chilis big time- they are my favourite band of all time!!!!
Anthony Keidis has one of my favourite voices, only beaten by Ali Campbell. Some of their stuff is a bit too hardcore rock for me, (a 44 year old Scottish female), but their best of album, and stuff like this, I love. I even know the lyrics (read them in Anthony's autobiography) and that catchy bit that keeps repeating is 'with the birds I'll share this lonely view'.
I'm commeting again to say, listen to more RHCP. I think you will not be disappointed. You made me remember how I felt when I first discovered them and and wanted to say, thank you. 🥺😭
@@patrickschrag3200 yeah lots of their earlier stuff, from mother's milk or Freaky Styley so awesome & with George Clinton producing they bring the funk!😀😀
Wet Sand..again Wet Sand..maybe u can solve that poem of a song. It's a beautiful song with a guitar solo at the end, that actually led to me purchasing a guitar. John Fruciante guitarists.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have so many good deep songs, this is one of those lyrically bittersweet songs.
Flea on fire... as usual.
"This band is solid" 😆 Yep...and that's why they've been around for 30 years. They are highly entertaining.
Guitarist raises an objection.
They'll be my Rolling Stones when I'm an old fart...that much I'm sure of! RHCP is a lifer band! 🔥🌶️
@@DominionStarcrye When does one enter "old fart" territory? If it's 50 or earlier, I'm there. They ARE my Rolling Stones.
30 years? Try almost 40
@@RyanREAX I still think of 1950 as being 50 years ago, stop it :(
The guitarist is John Frusciante (my profile pic). Amazing guitarist🙌
Also all those beautiful backing harmonies are John as well. I don't think the Chilli Peppers are really them without him
Frusciante is my hero. So funky, so soulful, just so badass. I hate that I’ve never seen them live.
Frusciante, appreciated for his work with RHCP, but in my opinion still generally so grossly underrated. So talented, creative, humble and honest in his expression 😊

I like that you said Slow Cheetah first, all their hits are great but Slow Cheetah deserves to be mentioned way more than it is.
Around the World is one of my favs
Anthony Kiedis is the singer.
The best hair and tats in rock 🎶🎵
It's LEGENDARY John Frusciante on guitar! And he's back once again in the band since a year ago
Yes John is a legend, he wrote most of their songs he is a genius
I have pretty low expectations of them from here on but I absolutely loved the way Frusciante was playing on Californication. But I feel like all his ideas were gone before Stadium Arcadium
@@xx-ug9hn Really? Stadium Arcadium is a fantastic double album!
@@DaP84 each to their own I guess, I’m sure there is a really solid LP in there
Under the bridge, Snow (hey oh), By the way, Soul to squeeze are other good ones
He's already done Under thd bridge. one of my favorite by the way..
This is my recommendation list as well
CALIFORNACATION THO!!!
Ohhhh he should totally check out Sick Sick Sick and Misfit Love!

Love this song
Summer ‘99 such great memories for me in this beautiful song ♥️
Please do “Dani California” 👍👍👍 RHCPeppers
When you have a bassist named “Flea” you know you gotta check this band.
One of the best live shows I've ever seen. You could see how much they enjoy playing music together. Such a great vibe.
I absolutely love watching your videos, you show such appreciation for the artists and it's a joy to watch your reactions when discovering such talent 😊
Yeah I think you will really like "Give It Away". Should do it next for sure.
And follow it with Weird Al’s “Bedrock Anthem”. 💜
Yeeeess
RHCP is a great band. Everyone is especially skilled at what they do, and the writing and timing of their music never fails to impress me.
I think you would like their song “can’t stop”
And Danny California
Around the World
Californication!!!
I do think he might get addicted to the shindig.
Addicted to the shindig...
You're reacting to some of my all time favorite songs and this channel is one of the best finds on youtube in 2020. Love this song.

Can't beat the RHCPs. They had so many good songs.
I always get my guitar out when I hear them play.
The bent guitar's a hoot.

1999, I was 12 years old. Barely any cellphones and people were a lot happier in general. Simpler times...
I remember not liking cellphones becoming mainstream back then because I knew it would mean everyone will have access to you at all times .

In his autobiography it says it's 'with the birds I'll share this lonely view'.
I'm pretty sure it's "with the birds I share this lonely view"...
Another great song is I could have lied.

Omg 1999 great year for music. This was so popular
Please do more Chili peppers such as Dani California, snow hey oh or wet sand!!
