Cotton candy sells best in the fall. Summer heat causes it to .eat faster and humidity makes it sticky. You don't need the floss sugar. Regular granulated sugar is cheaper and 1 can of flossine will flavor 1000lbs of sugar or more
hi you need to buy flossine which is the concentrate 2 table spoons of concentrate to 5kg sugar you will save a fortune believe me i am in New Zealand and i am a gold medal dealer been selling there great product since 1996 go hard
Hi Dan starting from my top sellers from the best going down -Vanilla Pink -Blue Raspberry - Strawberry- Bubble Gum (you got to try this one the smell and color awesome will blow you away and the color is very vibrant)Green Apple (good seller st patricks day) the others just filter down you can only do so much i carry every flavor but i have to being a gold medal dealer always try and mix your batches a couple of day before use so it allows the color to fully permeate and look great cheers from New Zealand @@DanielSchmidt94521
As someone who owns one of these machines, I think you forgot to add the "floaters" on the part that spins. They keep the cotton candy from flying up everywhere and keep it more uniform. Great work though. I use this machine a lot.
It says it is but I don’t think so vortex from Amazon. It does good but the cotton candy looks fluffy when it is rolled on the coat but feels dense when you try pulling it apart and melts or crystallizes fast just sitting on cone nothing like carnivals cotton candy
Don't know where you live, but in Texas, its too humid here to use the cheap cc bags. It shrinks. We HAVE to use the tubs! The tubs have held cc full here for a full month! We haven't tried past that... good luck!
You gotta start in the inside and lift it over the middle. You’re mushing it, and when it hits the spinner, it’ll melt. Your machine is too high. You need the top of the machine to be even with a tabletop if you’re gonna get a plastic dome. You’re starting too high on the stick. You should mix your own sugar.
I just got new system so I have questions. 1) how to I store the flossysugar that’s in like a milk container 2) I heard you can use plain sugar as a base to create flavors. So what kind of sugar do I use, 3) so cotton candy I made is so dense and it melts fast nothing like what you get at a fair or carnival. Where can I find the sugar that is line used at fair with good consistency?
@@DanielSchmidt94521 I hear ya' Daniel but the classic I just miss w/o all that coloring. The last I tasted white cotton candy was the year 2011 at an indoor amusement place named, "Enchanted Castle" and there, they had an automatic cotton candy machine which delivered warm white vanilla cc on a stick. Delicious!!! Thanks for responding though.🤗💕
How are the cotton candy sales going? I'm in Maryland too and started selling cotton candy online but have been afraid of our weather to sell at markets. How are yours holding up on hot days?
So far so good. I'm gonna make a video of this soon. They deflate. So. I sell them at a discount or give them away. I still sell 30 or so a week. I put a few out for display and then keep them in the shade and put them in deli Cups. They sell pretty well. I charge $5.
@@DanielSchmidt94521 Thank you Daniel, good to know. Will be looking for the video. I think it will be better in the fall and spring. Maybe indoor events for summer and winter (special events)
Can someone please tell me why whenever I make cotton candy it always shrivels up within minutes? I've been thinking of starting a cotton candy business. I bought a cotton candy machine for home use to to try and get the feel of it first. The cotton candy always starts out great, (round and fluffy)but within 5 minutes or less, it shrivels up😢. I don't know where I am going wrong. Would be helpful with any tips.

I love your expansion Daniel. Cotton candy sells well in the summer when kettle corn doesn't. You're the man!
Thanks for still following. My channel is growing. I also hope to do pork skins this year.

Great work on this! Cotton candy can be tricky to make but you look like you are doing really well! Nice job!

Good advice. 2 tablespoons might be a bit much. I would start with 1 for that amount of sugar. Too much produces a darker color.
I started buying. I agree. It goes way farther. What's your best sellers?
I find blue raspberry needs that as it gets a nice dak blue color @@michaelgadilhe1509

Correct. 5 lbs of sugar and 1tsp of flossine. The premix sugar is too costly. I have been selling cotton candy since 1967 btw

Good luck!
I ordered a smaller machine . Not a tornado . Halloween orange cotton candy jacklanterns maybe

@@JoiceGumbochuma I think the Econo Floss is a Gold Medal machine so you should be able to order one at their website.

Yep room temp
Whatever happened to the classic white (vanilla) cotton candy? I missed that flavor😩🤗💕
They now do a pink vanilla.

You have to seal it in a bag or container. The heat and moisture in the air is what effects the fluffyness of your sugar.
Where can i buy this
Gold Medal Dealer.
