@@leftcoastrevivals I knew you could "see" it :D ...the fish bowl...the marble contact paper...battery operated plastic camping lantern...felt covered Pringles can with jewels...
As someone who decorated my first home 25 years ago, I can't believe pleated lampshades are back. I am so not ready to embrace those dust-collectors again! I've got a few you can have 😆
Style is personal and I think if you go with what you like you can never go wrong. As for resale there is someone who is always looking for that something they collect or want. I liked the style of the one thrift design. I too like blues and greens. Nature is an inspiration!
Great display and it shows people that you don't have to buy expensive pc's to have a fabulous looking home! Every time I go thrifting, my cart looks inspirational and awesome!!
Laura, I'm planning on visiting Oregon and Washington in September and November can you suggest a few Goodwill's, flea markets and thrift stores to visit in the Portland and Seattle areas.
Looks so good. I wondered what happened to the white vase piece. So sorry. 😔 I like the dark lamp base and the piece of art shows so much better with it's compliments. It deserved to shine. I also LOVE pottery. I have found some amazing pieces thrifting as well. Also love brass and copper...metals and wood. Enjoy your channel so much. Keep treasure hunting 😃.
This is very classically you, even though you haven't done anything exactly like it before. Love it! (And you really do have the very best Goodwills out there!)
Would have liked to see the black lamp lit up, w/o the modern chrome lamp to it's left, two lamps side by side, just don't work. All else looks great! That was fun! :)
Hi Laura! I too am sorry that the white vase broke, but it does happen! The cute little black pot is a bean pot (minus the lid) You did such a wonderful styling for your vignette! Maybe you’ll find another taller white/light pottery vase next time! Thanks for sharing your videos!😊💗
I would love to see you add some things that you already have on hand to make three versions of this vignette. This inspires me to play around w a few of my vignettes at home. 😌
I have in my living room two brass lamps with pleated shades from the 80's OMG! Here I thought they were out of style. Who knew! What goes around comes back around. Laura, You did a great job finding and putting all the pieces together. You got the touch! I loved it!
The way you shot and edit your videos is so pleasing to my eyes that I always save it for later and watch it on a big screen. Like the best episode of any tv shows. I hope one day you gonna have your own show.
I think it’s a great idea! Keep challenging yourself! We are here for it! 🙋🏼♀️ Oh, and I’m so sad the vase broke! It was my favorite element after that painting! 😢
Love you style. It looked awsome. Would love to See what you could do in a bedroom. You could have a cooking show. Hello Fresh looks delicious. I live by myself, wonder if they do meals for just one. Love to you and Jesse, and the kittens.
What a great video! You're so talented. Right before you said "brass," I said the same thing. If you had some kind of low profile brass tray, it could go nicely in front of the art. Looks great, and it's a wonderful lesson for folks to take in.
You absolutely nailed it, you have such a great eye . I am learning so much from you about pottery . You it’s not too much and it’s not too minimal. I love minimal esthetic but I like having stuff around me. You found that balance I crave.
would love to see more like this. always needs ideas on how to make those corners of my space more interesting. maybe colour challenge or using a suggested item from a fan.
I like your color choices. You are good at making the most of each individual piece. I just got done oiling my butcher block table and cutting board with Conrad's woodfood oil. Love it! No chemical smell. My board and table look great. Thanks for the tip.it
I love it!!!! I can't believe that I just don't have the eye to do this. I do have nice things but know that things could be put together in a better way. You have a great talent, or I should say, you are blessed with an amazing talent. Thanks for all the guidance you give us. 🙏🥰🐕🇺🇸
So wish our thrift stores, called Op Shops in Australia, were half as good as yours. Especially where clothing is concerned but also household goods. Items are so expensive here. Occasionally I am able to grab a bargain. Best find this year was a gorgeous small Mulberry black leather cross body bag for $8.00. When I searched online it was priced for over $580.00! It is in excellent condition, what a find 😃 I'm currently looking for household bits for my home. Not having a lot of luck though but the hunt is such great fun 😉 Love your videos Laura 😊 💗
A stack of books under the textured vase would add some height. Of course, that would require being able to see the future of a broken urn! The black items add the finishing touch.
Nooooo !😥 i break pieces too girl .im so CLUMSY ! im like seriously this has made it 70 freaking years then here i come and DESTORY IT in 5 minutes..GREAT VIDEO as ALWAYS !
Great video Laura! Please do more like this. You have a great style about you. I went vintage shopping today. I love looking and digging through stuff for that unique piece.
That's so wonderful how it all came together,l always say laura has a greeeeat eye for putting things all together,You should make a series of this, teach us your special technique, help us too,in putting everything together,🤗❤🤠🤠🤠❤❤❤❤❤😶👌👌👍👍👍
I've gotten a few vase/vessels from Goodwill that cost me no more than $5 and am sure were at least $50 in other retail stores or sites. I love my thrift finds.
Sorry you broke that beautiful vase. I bet you had things already in your collection that could have gone really beautifully with those pieces but that was not the challenge. I wish I had an eye for putting things together like you do. I bet I do, I just have to work on it and practice. That meal looked really good. I love carrots and chicken.
So sorry for the loss of that big vase. But you recovered beautifully. I would be happy to see more like this. ( I’ll take anything you want to show us!) 🥰💚💚💚
I love your Goodwills and will miss not going there anymore. My son has purchased an 1893 home in Iowa, so will be leaving Portland soon! Talk about a culture shock!!
I love what you did with one trip to thrift store. I love the dark lamp. I’m sorry you broke the white vase, but it makes me feel better about the few issues I have had. Like to see you step out of mid century design occasionally.
I love that you gave yourself that challenge. Yes to more of those!
Love the design challenge 🥰
Wouldn't mind if you turned it into a series...😇
Love this!! I think I’ll have to do it!!
@@leftcoastrevivals you did well ! I could go to my Goodwill and do a parody of this challenge :D
Haha a parody would be hilarious 🤣

Dust is the first thing that comes to mind when I see those shades
Hahahahahah!!! I know what you mean 😂I hated cleaning those things 😂
Love this design challenge! Have you ever thought of doing an online interior design course? I learn so much from your designs.
So enjoyable. Thank you for sharing.

Do it again, do it again Laura!! I want to learn from you. This little exercise delighted me!
Think outside the square, and what you like to decorate for bits and pieces for the home from a op shop store.

Doing a color pallete challenge would be cool too! I also miss your beautiful tablescapes ❤️

I thought that painting was of Crater Lake! lol
Laura, you create the most interesting videos. Your commentary is always informative. Thank you.

This decorating video was super! I can always find goodies at the PNW Goodwills. Thank you.
I liked your setup and I like the lamp as it is. Looks nice angainst the white of the wall and the brown of the table.
Omg Laura, you look gorgeous in your intro. Love your hair and that style on you :)
It looks good but I think it'll look better with the other lamp shade. Just my opinion. Great pieces 👏
Great advice. It takes a push to get out of your comfort zone... but we know nothing really wonderful happens in your comfort zone. 💕Amy
