I love these older Otis gen2s and Otis 2000s. Sadly at WestQuay shopping centre in Southampton England they had been modernised to Kone monospaces in 2018

Tip: never safety break any lift when it’s levelling or it might get stuck and don’t safety break it too much at a single time cuz the safety governor might trip

My school lift lost position because me and my friend were inside and my friend falls on the lift floor, loses position, goes to the first floor, then back down to the ground floor. And finally the lift door opened

No. It doesn’t damage the lift. It’s part of the lift’s specification to be able to stop like that. Some lifts even have an emergency stop button inside the lift. Some lifts go out of service when you break safety while it’s moving though.
