- Something similar happened to me at an embassy suites in Los Angeles but I was easily able to get out of that situation, Here are the elevator quit altogether, I wasn’t in there for too long only around 15 minutes, all was good.

They’re currently renovating the elevators as of now

You did say it was hot and humid, I wonder if the weather had an impact on the elevator. That and the fact that the other was out of service.
It could’ve been a contributing factor, It was most likely due to their age though, Schindler also completely renovated the elevators since my visit.
@@GChad184Age shouldn't be a problem for these elevators, it's probably the lack of maintenance. But it's good that they renovated them since.

The guest elevators were currently under renovation at the time, so to avoid crowding they just opened the staff elevators for guest use.
Schindler is known for the worst brand of elevators so dont go im Schindler elevators people!

I think what happened here after watching this video again, the doors probably didn’t contact the interlock but it locked the doors so the elevator had to be reset by staff
