Really enjoyed that video Peachy - a realistic account of a tough day on the water. And don't take up lawn bowls just yet mate, you're still catching a few...
Thanks mate, yeah it’s a beauty! I’ve previously found it very easy fishing there but this day was super tough. Stewie and the Spanish guys even were struggling a bit too…just too warm in the middle of the day I reckon.
Thanks as usual Peachy. I’ve had more doughnuts this year for sure, but wouldn’t not go fishing just cause they are fussy or not biting. Being out there is 90% of it. Good you got some. Looking forward to our next flick together: 👍👍👍
Hi. Greetings from Colorado. You did an amazing job capturing that beautiful stream. I’d have been fishing a single dry too. Maybe tie in a small unweighted nymph off the bend of the dry. RS2 emerger comes to mind.
Thanks! Yeah funnily enough I didn’t have any luck at all on the nymph that day, I had a little #18 pheasant tail which normally does the job, but I did better with the single dry. Thanks for watching, Colorado looks beautiful! :)
@@PeachyFlyFishingYes. An 18 or 20 PT is definitely a go to at the end of many of my rigs. Is the RS2 used down under? It’s a Colorado legend for fussy trout. I like 20’s in grey, black, bright green.
Beaut stretch of river Steve. Pretty awesome way to spend a day. And those pretty little mountain fish are just a bonus. Thanks for the entertainment. Cheers PP
Magic footage Steve, what an awesome place that was. I watch all of your videos and you catch a lot more fish than I do but fly fishing is...well, it just is ! I'm a pretty bad fly fisher, very ordinary self taught caster, who only uses his own poorly tied flies and I wouldn't have it any other way. After 25 + years of trying, admittedly mostly from Sydneys rocks, I have caught 3 trout, all rainbows, one in the Fish River on a Potscrubber nymph and two in Thompsons Creek Dam on my Simonaleecha balanced leech pattern (named after my wife who picked it out for me to use)...both flies are now retired in my hat band. As much as I enjoy lawn bowls it's not time to give up the fly rod yet. Cheers Steve, top vid.
You really are raising the bar on production quality - every scene in this latest video was perfectly framed and clear - audio quality was also top notch - thanks for sharing Steve - were you fishing your Hanak Superb XP 10’ 3wt with an LTX 3/4 and a floating line (instead of your normal Euro Nymph setup on this same rod?) - if so, it shows what great dry fly rods these long Euro Nymph rods can be…
Really great work! I’ve watched your videos and the quality is impressive. However, your videos are not optimized, which might be affecting their visibility.
Really beautiful video. Beautifully shot. Well done.
Thanks Chris! I'm trying to improve the quality of the videos all the time, so comments like this really mean a lot. :)

Haha! Thanks mate! Yeah I think I'll hold off on the lawn bowls for a bit....😂
Lovely little stream, Steve. See you next week! :)
Thanks Rob! Yes looking forward to it mate. :)
Just Purely Magical! You’ve really captured something special with this one. Thanks Peachy!
Ah thanks mate! I tried, working on my video making skills! ;)
Beautiful scenery Steve. Catching some fish to go with is definitely a bonus in places like that.
Thanks Tony! Yeah absolutely mate. :)
Onya Peachy. Keeping it real and inspiring at the same time. 👍
Thanks Geoff, much appreciated mate. :)
Great video Steve . Beautiful country !!
Thanks Cam! Yeah it’s a magic spot that one…
Nice vid mate well done, such a cool river that one

It’s not that common down here I don’t think, is it a midge style pattern?

Haha thanks PP! Yeah it’s a gorgeous spot, lots of fun! :)
Another great video Peachy well down
Thanks Pete! :)

Haha thanks mate! Yeah of course I wouldn’t actually give up Flyfishing! 😂
Glad to know I’m not the only one who gets hooked up in the bushes!
Haha! Certainly not! 😂
Nice video as always Peachy. I fished NE Vic in the last few days and had plenty of the disappointment you experience for some time.
Thanks mate! Yeah the fish were remarkably tough, much more so than usual, probably to do with the heat I reckon…. ;)
Looks like a tough day but persistence payed off.
Thanks Trevor! Sure was mate!

Thanks Rob! Yes it was the Hanak but it’s a 9’6” #3 weight, slightly better length for dry fly although 10’ still works well :)
@@PeachyFlyFishing Thanks Steve - casts beautifully…(or, you cast it beautifully)…
Thanks! :)
I don't think bowls or golf is for you Peachy, definitely stick with the fly. Great vid.
Haha! Yes I definitely suck at bowls and golf….😂 Thanks mate. ;)
Heading up to Harrietville for Easter, any favourite spots up that way?
You can't go wrong on the Ovens between there and Bright, there's access all along it and it's a lovely river. :)
Wow, thanks for your quick reply! I've just just discovered your channel, will subscribe for sure. @@PeachyFlyFishing
