I left India when USD was below 8 rupees ,14 years ago it was 58 , all were blaming the high crude oil price. your bank will commit a certain interest rate, which is higher than FD rates. You will get the same at the time of maturity. No tds applicable from FCNR to INR as long as you are investing from your NRE account.. Better check with your bank for more info.
