- This is what happens if you let Menendez live in the games ending if you made bad choices like saving Harper and letting Karma die.
To get the Best ending your missions need to look like this:
-Pyrrhic Victory - Mason rescues Woods
-Celerium - Celerium device recovered
-Old Wounds - Kravchenko thoroughly interrogated - learned about potential mole in CIA
-Time and Fate - Compound thoroughly searched - learned about potential mole in CIA
-Fallen Angel - Zhao secret meetig details discovered
-Harper successfully protected
-Karma - Karma secured, DeFalco dead
-Suffer With Me - Menendez does not completely succeed in manipulating Woods
-Achilles' Veil - CIA undercover operative Farid survives
-Strategic Defense Coalition allied with US military - Strike Force complete
-Obysseus - Admiral Briggs survived & re-activated USS Obama's defenses
-SDC sent hundreds of drones to protect the USS Obama
-The Obama's defenses hold in time for SDC reinforcements arrive - the Obama was saved!
-Karma & the crew of the USS Obama survived Menendez attack!
-Cordis Die - President Bosworth is saved
-Judgement Day - Menendez is captured
Even after killing woods, Menendez gives his respects, Closing wood's eyes and laying him on the bed in peace.

nonononononono, I killed memendez, are you crazy? why wouldnt you kill him? He killed David, He can kill harper, and so many more innocent people, its a complete idiotic move to keep him alive, just saying
Even a little fucked up for Menendez himself, imagine being him, having your sister burned in a barn by another country in war, only for her to recover and then be attacked by another country and someone throws a live grenade in her room. In this ending, Menendez gets his good ending, and his revenge.
His family would have a much better time not dying if he wasn’t involved with crime.
He kept his sister in his own house while being a drug lord. He couldn't buy a separate house and have nurses watch over his sister? Or even have her in a room that's not so easily accessible. The life you choose to live has an affect on those around you, and when you're basically a human rock you kinda got to go with the flow of wherever the person in charge is bringing you. Point is he chose to put his sister in such a dangerous situation and it is ultimately his fault for Josephina's death.

Mr. Price I think this was a great way for then to kill him off. Woods is and always has been a badass. for someone like him to die of old age no. and even after menendez kills him he closes his eyes and lays him on they bed. Woods died a respectful way

I always found it more accomplishing sparing Menendez than killing him, just cuz of that silent expression he makes after David says he's just a sad old man talking to himself. That right there is the look of absolute defeat.
Dont tell me that didnt affect even after breaking out of prison and killing Woods! Why else wouldnt he have continued his Cordis Die rule instead of killing himself the most shameless way possible?
Most replayble COD campaign ever IMO.
Multiple endings with customizable load out for campaign gave it that extra touch too make it very replayable

I know that Woods' death is sad because he is an emblematic beloved character but we have to be realistic: the United States attacked Menendez first. They killed his father because he was a trafficker but he only did it because he lost everything and in the middle of the cold war he was not going to get a job. Then Raul became a resentful person towards the United States. But everything changed with the death of his sister Josefina: Woods killed her, above all he felt no remorse for it. Raul Menéndez vowed revenge on Hudson for ordering the murder of his father, Mason for destroying his eye and disfiguring his face, and Woods for killing Josefina. For me this is a realistic ending. I don't defend Raul's actions but I understand his revenge. In addition, he showed resentment for killing Woods but he showed an honorable side by closing his eyes.

Menendez learned nothing. He put his family in danger, and they weren’t unscathed. So he set out a plan of revenge, similar to cycle that came before with Woods.
Menendez held that grudge against Woods for ages.

@@davemac9563 honestly a villain like menedez would be perfect, cod villains are always recycled and generic Russian nationalists who have no character and backstory beyond “I commit war crimes in Chechnya.” Menedez brought substance because everything he did was the fault of the CIA and America. They killed his family and propped up a civil war which decimated his country, and he was left with two options, work himself to death and have his sister die as well or take the mantle his father left as a drug lord. His hatred of America was justified and not only that, rooted in real world significance as the US has committed atrocious acts like what they did to Menedez IRL.

People, it's not that hard. To get the best ending you:
Fully interrogate Kravchenko(Don't let Mason shoot him)
Get the CIA file in Menendez's compound
Save Karma and kill Defalco
Don't kill Mason, instead shoot his leg twice
Kill Harper so Farid lives(He saves Karma again)
Do every strike mission so SDC and US form alliance
Capture Menendez, don't kill.
Translation: Do every good thing in the game, make all the right decisions. Simple
Unfortunately I heard that all the endings where Menendez lives is the non-canon endings, so if you want the canon ending, Menendez has to die
You can also kill menendez and get the good ending if you save Harper and karma dies

I still dont get how Menendez able to escape the prison like that. It would make more sense if he got mole inside that just break him free, or a huge prison break happening and he sneaks out in confusion or his men went and bust him out full force. but instead he went rambo mode and kill 3 commandos and walks away casually. Doesnt make sense

Something that helps me enjoy games better is to get emotionally attached to everybody and understand their POVs, even antagonists...if you have the right mindset it's not hard to see the justification of their actions on both sides

They injected him with a sedative. It should do the opposite of making him some invincible rambo guy. You're also forgetting how he tricked Harper and Farid when he shot Harper's bird down. And the time he let himself get captured on purpose. Instead he invaded the Obama from the inside and hacked US drone fleet at the same time

I really wish they did something with the “Study Ulysses” comment Menendez makes. He’ll always be my favorite CoD antagonist.

I was gutted by the ending woods gets...then after the credits I almost shit myself lauhing!:']
Cos when they were living in Nicaragua, the American landlord burnt it down to get insurance money. But in the process, Josefina was caught in an explosion as she was in a room that was not affected by the fire. She went to open the door as she heard weird noises outside the door, and when she opened the door, the heavy amount of oxygen in the room caused a small explosion engulfing her in flames and crippling and deforming her into the state she was in this video.
That security guard for the veteran's retirement home didn't deserve that.

I killed mendendez, fucker manipulated woods to kill my father, then i accidentaly triggered the David's father is alive ending, jumped in the chair, no regrets. Harper's alive, Karma's dead, Fucking karma is a bitch :/.Last good COD, defenetly among the best, only loses to MW2 in my opinion.
What I don't understand is that it shows Rauls sister about the same age throughout the whole story, from when Menendez was a kid up to where Frank accidentally kills her.

I don't think the Woods line is savage and here's why. Menendez knows what he did to Woods even though he had his motivations. What Woods did to Josefina was unintentional, what Menendez did was not. So in the very end it's a final "I understand what you're going to do but understand this too, even though I didn't mean to kill your sister, at the end of the day, we're even."
To be honest if my home was destroyed and family slaughtered by America, I would go on the warpath too
His father was killed,because he led a drug cartel,Josefina was killed in another attack against that cartel. Maybe if he didn´t want to be the biggest drug dealer in the region,he might be okay.

I don't get whats confusing though. LOL! The strike force missions are just there as part of the storyline which will effect the eventual ending. Thats how sandbox works man, just like GTA 4.
