Great comparison! One thing I almost never see in reviews of the Peak Design 6L, though, is the total capacity when loading the camera/lens vertically and using two internal dividers (you use just one, here). I can easily carry my Fuji XT5 with two zooms (70-230 and 16-55) PLUS a prime by using this two-divider vertical loading configuration, and even 4 lenses (via origami shelf) if only one lens is a zoom.
I've had both and sold the PD Sling, I love the Wandrd gear. The Wandrd is so versatile and is great for travel. Not only does the Wandrd have the main camera compartment and front compartments, the compartment in the back (if you don't carry an iPad) can be used for cash, passport and other important items when traveling and they're safely stored against your back. I also found it much easier to get my gear out of the Wandrd sling, and it's very comfortable. When I travel I often need to carry a raincoat, umbrella, water bottle, and it was easy to hook them onto the Wandrd. I also have the Wandrd 11L backpack (had the 21L for years but sold it) which is a great smaller packs, it's been to many countries with me as well. Sometimes I also hook one of the small Wandrd Tech Bags onto my Rogue to hold my cables and power bank.
To me, as a bag lover, I think both look really well but for different purposes. I wouldn't take the Wandrd to a wedding, the looks are so much urban and alternative, whereas the Peak Design is so elegant that for many social events would be much better. My main bag until now has been the Wandrd 41L + Peak Design camera cubes 😂... I love Peak Design, but Wandrd external material is much durable. I will buy the Wandrd sling, but if in the future I work more in social poshy/classy events, Peak Design would bring more convenient looks.
everyone has their own way of usecases, and esthetics of course - for me either of those bags are too small for a wedding anyway (as a pro photographer. i use a thinktank retrospective, that surprisingly fits 2xA7III + 55/1.8 + 85/1.8 + 25/2 + voigtlänger 15/4.5 + holdfast moneymaker + godox tt350 + A7s backup body). also i think in all black the wandrd bags do hit the pro-photographer esthetics well enough to fit a wedding. but of course, totally depends on personal style.
I had a minor zipper issue with my Wandrd Prvke (after 3-4 years) and they gave me credit to get a replacement one so I ended up getting the upgraded version. No hassle or anything! Wandrd is definitely my choice for all things bags!
Peak Design is the best camera sling I've seen in all. I'm ordering the 3L ash gray for my Canon M50 (Mark II) with 4 primes but I'll only be carrying 2 at a time.
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the kislux as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
Great video. I have two PD slings, but I plan to purchase the Wandred. I always carry water and having the hidden water holder and still being able to lash down a coat or umbrella or whatever fills a definite need that the PD doesn't touch. So, thanks a lot for the great video. It's my first Desi Cheng video, but it won't be my last.
You can’t go wrong with Peak Design. Lifetime warranty. I had the 3L and got my ZVE1 and 3 lenses in it, just. I did a video. Then I got the 6L as I bought another lens and the new Sony Mic. So I get in mine, ZVE1, 24mm F2.8, 20mm F1.8, 16-35 Zeiss, Tamron 28-75, plus mic, extra batteries etc. That’s a lot in such a small bag. The 6L isn’t that much bigger in dimensions than the 6L. I totally disagree re the capture clip- that’s the best reason for the PD, putting the capture clip on it for immediate access to the camera rather than faffing about going into the bag. The Wandred looks very good. I would really like a Bellingham. Beautiful British craftsmanship on those.
I'd like to ask, would my 5Dsr with a 70-200mm f4 non-is fit the wandrd sling, do you think? I have the 3L Peak design but I'd like to explore more on the Wandrd slings. Thanks!
I have them both. Wandrd is more elegant and practical but the Rotolight Neo does not fit in there. My experience with standing alone is different. The Peak Design rolls over once you let go of it. I think it is good to keep changing bags. That way you keep track on what you've got and where it is at the moment.
What would you reccomend for two weeks in Italy? I'm trying to decide between the 6l and 10l PD sling? The 6l barely fits (almost) everything while the 10l doesn't have a problem. It's just bigger. I'm trying to figure out what would be better for all day use.
I used the Peak Design Sling 3 & 9 L. When filming Video & have the Bag on me, it doesn't stay firmly on my body, which is annoying. Then i bought the Wandrd 3 & 9 L. These corners ensure that it sits firmly on the body + it's more comfortable then the PD. The material could be a bit firmer, but basically the bag is great. I also like the 3 battery holders inside. The 9 L is my main bag, and the 3 L is for accessories. Now I'm looking for the best 6 L Sling, maby I buy the Wandrd, but I'm open for another brand
Was looking for wandrd 9L, to replace my PD Sling 10L. But they are sold out everywhere in my country. I opted for the PGYTech OneGo 10L instead. All my complaints about the PD not having 'organization' pockets are solved on the PGYTech. And for smaller sling, i got the Ulanzi PB008. it's like having Bellroy married with Peak Design. I'll still probably get the Wandrd though when they restock. #BagsHoarder hahahaha
Hi,great review. Can i just ask is that the yellow or orange in the wandrd sling? I like that colour you had but being colour blind can't see the shade. Subscribed by the way👍
Can I put a EOS R6mk2 mounted with the RF24-105 f/2.8L USM Z lens on to the WANDRD 6L bag? With 3 batteries, card reader, and charger in one bag? AND have you try TENBA Axis v2 6L?
Can you fit a R6Mll with 24-105 attached vertically into the 6L Peak Design? I have the Wandrd 9L and it’s perfect, but too big for a day trip. I would like a 6L but I’m wondering if it would fit in the Wandrd 6L?
no unfortunatley not. You will have to goto a 9L bag to maybe fit that! The bellroy 10L camera sling will fit it probably! review on that coming in a bit!
After extensive research I went with the Peak Design because it fit closer to the body and I wanted my camera bag to take up less space while climbing in and out of the Land Rovers and considering seating space while on Safari. It worked out great, highly recommend. It Also doubled as a sling bag/purse while in the city throughout my travels when I didn’t want to carry my DSLR at night.
Wandrd for me i like the whole aesthetic of it and the fact it doesn't look like a camera bag you can do a shoot and match your fit
agreed!

thanks! oh yes that would have been good to include the other divider! ill consider for my next vid with the PD!
Thank you for this comparison! Wandrd it is for me.
no prob, hope u enjoy it!
Sold my peak for the wandrd, the tripod/gimbal/bottle holder is a nice addition
nice!! yeah been loving it =)
i did the same as well, the ability to carry a laptop is what sold me
Best comparison I’ve seen. Thank you 😊
Thanks! stay tuned in for more comparisons!

i just ordered the new wandrd stratus!
Best choice 👌
I'm glad we have more options.
yup!

great insight! another intersting bag that im getting later this week is the Grams28 172 camera bag. its a pretty sexy bag!

@@sternschnupper nice i have a knock off retrospective, works great!

awesome to hear!!!
Really a gerat video. More helpful than any other review so far.
thanks!
That fujifilm pack out is what sold me on the wandrd as thst is exactly what i was going to be carrying! Thank you very much
No problem! Gives me an idea for maybe some more future videos! Just Fujifilm specific pack outs of bags!
@@DesmondCheng That would be great to see!
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
Peak Design is the best camera sling I've seen in all. I'm ordering the 3L ash gray for my Canon M50 (Mark II) with 4 primes but I'll only be carrying 2 at a time.

Interesting, PD looks miles ahead for my needs
Wandrd!!! This sling is amaaazing don't you see

Wandrd for sure, I need it for swapping prime lenses quickly at events, and having to dig down to a second layer on the Peak seems like a pain
i love wandrd

Completely agree with you about the capture clip. He’s utterly missing the mark on that one. Some people are just clueless
Awesome comparison for two great bags (own both actually!) Prefer Wandrd and use the additional laptop sleeve and snug that into the bags pocket.
thanks! i havent used the laptop sleeve yet. ill have to try =)
Outstanding video, it was a joy to watch. Thank you very much!
thanks!!! no prob at all, more videos to come!!

stick to the 6L wandrd =)
Aaaaand the winner is.... none of both imho. It's the Tenba AXIS V2 6L. 👌
oooo ill have to check that out =)
Wow, you're right. Tenba takes 1st place compared to these two.
@@Pavlandia yeah, but I wish they would also make an 8 liter in that style. Would be perfect!

yup i got the pgytech and the ulanzi as well! great bags!
Now there is an outdoor version 7L from PD.
Definitely interested in knowing if the Wandrd is still superior.
when i get my hands on one ill let u know!
3:46-3:47 , you mentioned Wandrd but holding onto the PD, not sure if that’s a error or I’m missing something. Sorry
oh yeah sorry meant to say PD!
3L wandrd is perfect.
ill have to get one!
Great video! Would you choose Wandrd over Bellroy Venture?
thanks! hmm good idea for another video later! i have both! if i want to be simple, then the bellroy... but most days ill choose wandrd!
@@DesmondCheng It would be a good comparison video. Thanks for the prompt response!
anytime =)@@SoyJoseMora
i own the PD sling. i regert bought the charcoal color. easy to get dirty. I think my next sling will go for Wandrd. but i might want bigger one 10L
i still lov emy wandrd! sometimes if i need more space i go for the billingham hadley small though
Great Video
thanks!
Peak for lowkey
Rogue for aesthetic
agreed!
Hi,great review. Can i just ask is that the yellow or orange in the wandrd sling? I like that colour you had but being colour blind can't see the shade. Subscribed by the way👍
thanks! this is the yellow colour!
thanks for the review, background music is a bit loud
sorry about that, ill be sure to adjust it for my next videos!
Can you store the Sony body with the 24-70mm attached vertically in the Wandrd?
negative!
Can I put a EOS R6mk2 mounted with the RF24-105 f/2.8L USM Z lens on to the WANDRD 6L bag? With 3 batteries, card reader, and charger in one bag? AND have you try TENBA Axis v2 6L?

unfortunately not vertically. only horizontally
What size is the Peak Design bag? The link you posted is for a 3L bag, but yours seems to be more of a 6L, or a 10L...
i mention it in the first 8 seconds! they are both 6L
Can you carry a R6 Mkll with 24-105 in the 6L bag? I need to use it for traveling. I prefer Wandrd.
yes u can!
Does the Wandrd offer any protection for it's laptop/tablet compartment?
no not really!
Had both but now only use the Wandrd
splendid choice!
Hello Desy, in your opinion, do you think you can fit an a7 body and two lenses the same size as the 24-70?
no unfortunatley not. You will have to goto a 9L bag to maybe fit that! The bellroy 10L camera sling will fit it probably! review on that coming in a bit!
Awesome comparison, thank you!
thanks for watching =)
Is there a padding at the bottom of wandrd?
where the camera sits? yes. but for the water bottle pocket, no
PD vs Bellroy sling for Canon set-up?
i like the bellroy because its more flexible

both bags are great! i still have my peak =)
Bought the wandrd. Great quality but it’s really bulky!
He mad cute!
=)
Nice comparison. Can the wandrd fit an a7iv with smallrig camera cage?
unfortunately i dont have a cage to test it with, but yes i think it will fit assuming you DO NOT have a lens attached
6L is very suitable for your body proportions.
Can I ask for your height and weight as a reference example?
Thank you!
im 5'8" 190lbs
@@DesmondCheng Thank you for your sharing!
Which has more comfortable strap ?
Peak Design is nice and easy and longer.
Wandrd is a bit more cushy and comfy.
There is no clear winner unfortunately!
Combining elegance and luxury kislux
Is it 6L or 9L wandrd bag?
6L
I owned 2 and now I only have PD with me.
nice!
Is this a 6L or 9L?
this is the 6L
Thanks for this. Does the wandrd slide easily from back to front? The back padding looks like it might snag or drag.
super easily! i just came back from an 8 day vacation using it. it performed flawlessly =). Stay tuned for a short video this friday about it!
My V1 Wandrd broke after 4 years...they sent me a new one
thats awesome!
Lowepro passport sling
i had that bag a long time ago, it was great! totally forgot about that!
Challenge: do a pushup each time you hear "actually"
=)
Peak Design for me. Wandrd is too bulky and can get in the way specially in crowded places. Too bad Wandrd is a better quality.
peak design is great too!
Peak is just expensive they list their way.
all brands are pretty pricey =S
Real wealthy people dont need to proove their status by logos so they wouldnt care you think they carry a kislux or real.
the Wandrd is easy for thieves to target with quick release and run!!
sponsored by Wandrd ??
nope, i purchased both of these bags on my own!
Great comparison, thank you!
