      Bird is da Word You do realize only kids like 10 and under didnt have these things, right? Anybody over that had these for like at least half or more of their childhood. Thats why these lists are so stupid. The exact same things were around in the early 2000s as the 1990s, with a few exceptions

      I was an AV guy in elementary school, would load the projectors with a predetermined film reel wheel them into the different classes on various days. Would get out of class for 10 to 15 minutes when the projector messed up would go rethread the film and hangout to make sure it was working properly.
      The cool teachers would allow us to watch some of the films backward at the end of its showing for a few minutes to kill time before the class ended. Good for a few laughs.

    I grew up in the 80's and 90's in the Deep South (Mississippi). We weren't allowed inside the house until it was time to eat or sleep. We played outside in the woods and had to actually use our IMAGINATION! I didn't have the internet until was I was out of high school. When I went to school, everyone had a gun in their trucks or cars and no one ever got shot! I remember when I was in sixth grade I had to buy a gift for my friend for the class Christman party. I bought him some 30-06 ammo for his hunting rifle.

      Hey Nathan, every generation do this, is to have a sense of belonging, also if the things that represents you are portrayed as "good things" that positive reinforcement makes you feel better and consume that, this nostalgia is used in the movie industry for example, all of this is just an advertising move, and it will happen with your generation, fight for your individuality, don't be a sheep, question everything and learn more.
      Sorry on behalf of the self entitled 90's kids.

      It's not "adults" it's only some of the kids that grew up in the 90s, and some of the kids who pretend they grew up in the 90s. I was born in '77, and so grew up in the 80s, and we didn't lord that over the younger kids. Plus, that made me a teen all the way through the 90s, and it wasn't as cool as the "90's kids" pretend it was. Nirvana didn't become revered until AFTER Cobain died. Before that, it was just another hit rock band that only angry kids listened to. lol

    • @Parallaxus
      @Parallaxus 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To reiterate my point, it's not adults, because I'm an adult, and I get sick of the "90's kids" doing it too. They just come off pathetic and desperate to appear cool when they do it. The ACTUAL cool people never do or did that.

    • @kuroru69

      @@Parallaxus this phenomenon is more apparent with the close generation and the overcrowding of the internet (with his popularity and accessibility) Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix, the doors, Michael Jackson are similar to the Nirvana situation, kitsch parties, rockabilly restaurant, the return of hippie and hipster lifestyle are also concrete evidence on how this cultural necessity is a cycle, but there is plenty of evidence that every generation does the "my childhood/adolescent was better than yours" and the validation that follow, in the "90's kids" is more apparent because the close relationship with pc booming, internet accessibility and meme culture, and put paradoxically others "childhood elistist" use this point to trash 90's kids and argument positive about their own childhood experience, you being a good example of this phenomenon.

      Frank, remember when a T.V. was like furniture and if it had a remote control it would 'clack'? We would ask where's the clacker. And, hi-fi radios were huge wooden furniture's with cabinets for Lp's. I remember a hit song my folks played called 'Oh, When the Saints Come Marching In.' My dad would try to do the twist to it. I cherished my old Encyclopedia Britannica's. Yeah, I'm class of '49 too, August.

    What's wrong with you lot? I grew up in the 90s and liked it but times change. Some of you go on like it's a bad thing how kids today are experiencing life completely different from you. "Oh we didn't have smartphones, we just played outside and used our imagination" or "they are missing out on REAL fun". FFS just let it go already! How kids today are raised with the technology that we 90s people didn't have isn't a bad thing. Sure you can become obsessed, just like how adults become obsessed with women, alcohol, drugs, sports and the like, but there is nothing wrong with today's technology. Just use it in moderation and you'll be fine. You have your preferences and kids today have theirs. Neither side is wrong. So reminisce on your past, but don't let it define your future. Leave the kids to enjoy life their way.
