I am glad you are so respectful of the animals you are trying to photograph. I do a a regular walk with my dog on the lead around a local pond. I'm sure the birds know we are coming. I have a bridge camera that goes out to 1200 mm. What I find is that the zoom allows me to frame my subject without cropping. I've learned the limits of the long telephoto with the bridge camera. I get blurry images when the shutter speed is not fast enough. I get purple fringing. So I rely a lot on post processing. I also have another wonderful camera, a Panasonic G9ii with a long telephoto. It's heavier and not as portable as the bridge camera. So I "scout" the scene with the bridge camera and come back later with my better camera. I find that if I return to the same place every few days I see more and I get better photos. I'm always surprised when I'm ready to give up, I get the bird.

Thank you for watching and for your nice comment. I feel that it’s important to put wildlife first so I always try my best regarding that. I enjoyed reading about your own photography - repeated visits can be very useful and I know the feeling of seeing something at the last minute! Best wishes and good luck with your photography.
