Quick question: do you use vanshnookenraggen’s track map to accurately timestamp the skipped stations on the Queens Boulevard Line (the stations on the portion of the line where the local and express tracks split going on different roads)?
@@ricko257 yes
Thank you for sharing these timestamps with the community. 🫶🫡
I have been waiting for this one. Very nice on several different levels.
Maximum respect to you for sharing this. The support and feedback are greatly appreciated. 💯🫡
IM FROM UP TOP. SOUTH JAMAICA QUEENS. ALWAYS RODE THE E TRAIN... THEN CATCH THE EXPRESS F TRAIN @ PARSONS BLVD. ONCE MY PARENTS MOVE THE FAMILY TO HOLLIS QUEENS IN 1976. IT WAS THE THE F TRAIN BABY. 179st and HILLSIDE AVE. My next favorite train is the 4 train to the BOOGIE DOWN. 168 st Jerome AVE and Fordham rd, king bridge. Up in the BRONX where the people are fresh. One DJ THAT PAST THE TEST..... SING PEOPLE.........🎉
Gotta say, not a fan of the voiceover. The trivia is nice, but I would probably stick to text only. Takes away from the ambience, in my opinion.
Otherwise, good work as always.
Thank you so much for the compliment and for your review; both are truly appreciated 🏆🫡🫂
MAN THAT VOICE TAKES ME BACK TO WHEN I WAS 8 YEARS OLD BC I USED TO ANNOY THE CRAP OUT OF MY MOTHER SAYING WHAT STATIONS WAS NEXT ON THE 6 TRAIN 😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭
Thanks for sharing. We decided to try a few different things. What else did you like about the video?
Hey ya’ll, great video. I write from Palermo, Sicily, Italy. a.D. 8.V.2024
Since East Broadway station on the F line opened on Jan. 1, 1936, this makes the station 87 years old.
Thank you for sharing. That's a pretty long time 🫶🫡
👍 Thank You For The Full Ride On The F Train.
Our pleasure. What are some of the new things you liked about the video?
As adorable as the voice overs, with their station announcements, homilies and other information, are, I do feel it takes away from the subway experience. Just my opinion.
I agree - the manner in which you've presented your New York City Subway videos until now has been the RIGHT way to do it - by allowing the experience to speak for itself. Adding the station names in highlighted text together with the numbered and lettered routes they serve, is also quite valuable and informative. I DO appreciate your adding in text format the announcements occasionally faintly heard from the train itself at stations.
However, the cute voice-over announcing station names, etc., strikes me as superfluous and distracting - enterprising though it may be. Despite my and others' one criticism of your child-like voice-over in this one particular video, I heartily thank you for presenting us with your superb videos! The New York City Subway System is truly a remarkable achievement which is greatly worthwhile documenting as you have so superbly done it.
And if you're adding comments please keep them MTA relevant. "Roosevelt Island is Manhattan borough" is fine. "Through the left wall here at 23rd St. is the PATH train" would be OK. "The train heading downhill past Forest Hills is heading to Jamaica Yard" is relevant. But you surely don't need to warn us about "Screenching".
@@Mrbeahz1 I would expect that some viewers would appreciate the screeching warning if they have sensitive ears or didn't like the sound of that. I greatly dislike the high pitched noise at the beginning of the video.
@@AngelusBrady I was waiting for some over-the-top screeching, but it really didn't seem any more than other normal subway noises, and it was just the brakes, I think. Not sure why that part deserved it's own warning.
Man..let that little kid be great.
Love the announcements, makes it easier to find place on subway map
I have to congratulate you for making amazing what was already sensational. I'm already a fan, I watch the videos almost every day, especially at night, to relax and sleep. During the day, on breaks, I like to share on TV for greater immersion and now, with the new information and the voice of the station announcements and the phrases... 💓 The station announcement... WOW!!! 👏👏👏👏
I watch them at night also. I agree about them being very relaxing.
Thank you for your kind words as it is special to know how strongly you appreciate the work being done; especially with this newer experience. Thank you for also sharing the ways in which you use the videos, as the sounds of the train on the tracks truly is relaxing for some of us as well. Looking forward to sharing all that we have to offer and maintaining your support. 🫶🫡

The NYC subway, officially known as the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Subway, is one of the largest and oldest public transit systems in the world. It serves the five boroughs of New York City: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. The subway system consists of 27 subway lines, identified by letters or numbers, and operates 24/7.
The NYC subway network spans over 665 miles (1,070 kilometers) and has around 472 stations, making it a crucial mode of transportation for millions of New Yorkers and visitors daily. It offers convenient access to various landmarks, attractions, residential areas, and business districts across the city.
The subway operates using a pay-per-ride system, with fares payable through MetroCards, which can be purchased at vending machines in subway stations. The fares are determined by distance traveled, and transfers between subway lines or buses are usually free within a specific time limit.
While the subway system provides a convenient way to navigate the city, it can get crowded during rush hours. Some lines have express and local trains, allowing commuters to travel faster or make more stops, respectively. However, service disruptions and delays can occur due to maintenance work, signal issues, or other factors.
The MTA continuously works on improving the subway system, including upgrading infrastructure, introducing new train cars, and implementing modern technologies for better passenger experience. Real-time train arrival information is available through digital displays and smartphone apps.
It's important for subway riders to be aware of safety precautions, such as standing behind the yellow safety line on platforms, holding onto handrails, and being mindful of personal belongings. Emergency intercoms, security cameras, and police presence contribute to maintaining a secure environment.
Overall, the NYC subway is an iconic and essential component of the city's transportation system, connecting New Yorkers and visitors to various destinations throughout the metropolis.
Thank you so much for haring this information about the New York City Subway, with us, and with the community. We truly appreciate you for this as now folks are able to read the comments and learn something special about NYC's Subway system, as they enjoy the experience. Thanks again and sending positive energy to you and your family. 🫶🫡
Thanks for the info!
Many moons ago, there was a story of a F train M/M who took the wrong lineup and ended up at 57th Street. The train went OOS and probably relayed back to Coney Island as a put in.
Thanks for sharing this story. Must have been quite interesting to see while also being unfortunate.

Leaving Jay Street Metrotech is a northbound C Local on the left. Approaching West 4th street, the same exact C Local...look at the emblem on the end of the train...same distortion to the sign on the right side of it...pretty cool timing. Always interesting videos ! Enjoy and be well, VZ

Two things, one it's so disappointing to see the trash in the subways even after all these years, two The kid doing the station announcements wonderful thank you makes me homesick😊
Thank you so much for sharing these things with us. We are glad that you were able to appreciate the voice announcements and as for your first concern, we manifest that more and more folks start using the additional trash bins provided, so as to keep the tracks as clean as possible moving forward. 💯🫡
Really enjoyed watching this video. Made me feel like a kid again as if I was conducting the train. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much as we appreciate your feedback 🫡🫡
The kid voice is so distracting. The best part of WTAE is how raw it is. No music added over the sounds of the train. I do like subway announcements, and since they aren't really audible in your mic feed, editing in actual recorded announcements (like the Dutch rail public transport channel) would be okay.
Thank you for sharing. We appreciate the feedback as we were trying something new to bring a different experience to the channel. We imagine you were able to catch the upload without the voice, so feel free to let us know how you like that video, along with anything else you noticed that you did like. We tried some other new things and appreciate feedback on those as well. Thanks again for sharing and looking forward to your reply. 🫡
Love it, good view of the (F) Foxtrot train.
Who came up with the little kid doing the arrival announcements??? THAT WAS BRILLIANT. LOVE IT.
For Montague Street deinterlining, here's my version of the plan:
A: 168th Street to WTC via CPW Lcl/8th Ave Local
B: 207th Street to Bay Ridge-95th Street via CPW Express/6th Avenue Express/4th Avenue Express (Local south of 36th street)
C: Bedford Park Blvd to WTC via Concourse Lcl/CPW Lcl/8th Ave LCL
D: 205th Street to Coney Island via Concourse Lcl to Coney Island via Concourse Lcl (EXP Rush Hours)/CPW EXP/6th Avenue EXP/4th Avenue Express/Sea Beach Local
E: Jamaica Center to Far Rockaway via Queens Boulevard Express/53rd Street/8th Avenue Express/Fulton Street Express
F: Forest Hills to Coney Island via Queens Boulevard Lcl/63rd Street/6th Avenue Lcl/South Brooklyn Express/Culver Lcl
G: Court Square to Church Aveune via Crosstown Lcl
J: Jamaica Center to Broad Street via Jamaica Lcl (Rush Hour Express)
K: 179th Street to Lefferts Blvd via Queens Boulevard Express/53rd Street/8th Avenue Express/Fulton Street Lcl
L: 8th Avenue to Canarsie via Canarsie Lcl
M: 179th Street to Metropolitan Aveune via Queens Blvd Lcl/63rd Street/6th Avenue Lcl/Jamaica Lcl/Myrtle Avenue Lcl
N: 96th Street to Brighton Beach via Broadway Express/Brighton Express
Q: 96th Street to Coney Island via Broadway Express/Brighton Local
R: Astoria to Coney Island via Broadway Local/4th Ave Local/West End Local
Improvements
-Reconstruction of switches at Astoria-Ditmars to turn 30 trains per hour
-New switches between local and express tracks south of 36th street, allowing locals to serve West End, and Expresses to split between Bay Ridge and Sea Beach
With this plan the Z can be killed off as skip stop is useless and a failure and with the W being absorbed into the R to increase frequency in the Astoria branch with some R trains terminating at the lower level of the City Hall station while the N can now be a weekday only route and both the N and Q can now interchange and share fleets
To Fix the A Division I Propose this
We would build a new smoother curve to allow 5 trains to travel directly between 138th street Grand Concourse and 3rd Avenue 149th street without stopping at 149th street Grand Concourse. In other words, move that 5 train merge between Grand Concourse and 3rd Avenue. Almost Everyone will see a faster service and a few riders that need to go to 149th street Grand Concourse can use the 2 train.
The 145th Street platforms will get extended and we would construct a new tunnel along the East River to reach the 149th Street upper level so that 3 trains can run with 4 trains via Jerome and Bedford Park Blvd will get converted into two island platforms with 3 trains terminating in the Outer tracks and 4 trains can continue to Woodlawn in the Inner tracks meanwhile the 148th street yard will be converted back into a maintenance facility and the Harlem 148th street station will also be converted back into Lenox Yard to store additional trains
To Fix Rogers Junction we would need to add two switches so that 2 and 3 trains Run to Flatbush while the 4 runs local to New lots and the 5 runs express to Crown Heights plus new interlockings around Franklin Aveune and Crown Hts would need to be created to avoid conflict between the 2, 3, 4 and 5 meanwhile 3 trains could deadhead to Livonia or 239th street yard once the rush hour is over similar to how the M train fleet works
I heavily disagree, making the E go to far Rockaway would make it too long, would also make the A too short, and N and Q trains would be interchangeably redundant. But I would like the see this whole thing on brand new subway cause I could be wrong
Oh wow
Trains can talk.
Thank you for taking the time to break down the changes you would make to each line, and their respective terminal stations. These adjustments would be interesting to see and we look forward to seeing what the future holds, as lines/routes are something that change over time; we shall see. 💯🫡
The voice overs ruin the experience, we don’t want to feel like we’re watching a nursery rhyme. A lot of us are teenage and adult enthusiasts. These videos worked for all ages because they were just raw footage of the subway, something people of all ages can enjoy. Just use the automated announcements… And please stop filming on weekends when the F trains are slowly trotting along Queens boulevard…
Kids can watch it. But they think this is---and transfers to are nursery rhymes.
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback on your personal preferences. We appreciate you for taking the time to give praise to, not only the video, but to the team and the channel for all the work they continue to do; especially as it relates to the filming of footage that has never been done on weekends.

I used to drive from Long Island to Forest Hills on Saturday mornings to go into midtown on the E or F trains to do a little shopping; this was when the F still used the 53rd St tunnel. The unfortunate memory I have is when my car was broken into twice while parallel-parked on busy side streets in an upscale neighborhood in broad daylight; how those guys got away with that is beyond me. Unfortunately on one of those occasions I lost a tray of irreplaceable slides from a European trip.
Sorry this unfortunate incident happened to you. We're happy to know our video, however, was able to bring back some of the bright memories of those times.
Greetings, is it possible for you guys to upload the UNEDITED version of this please? Or perhaps put up a link for the unedited video. Would gladly appreciate an unedited version of this, maybe via email if possible. I would enjoy the experience much better that way. Thanks.
As a suggestion in the future maybe you guys can upload (2) versions of the subway experience, a edited & unedited version.
The voice over is cute but a front view railfan video doesn't need to much of it in all honesty. The station text/info are fine as is like in your earlier videos. Your videos and edits are innovative but sometimes you tend to bombard your videos with other stuff. Case and point your logo watermark appears on & off TOO MUCH like a ghost in different placements throughout your video. Maybe you can keep it in just one particular area where it can still be seen. Also, the "warning screeching noise" label when approaching 36th st in Queens..... We Get It. Sometimes is better to keep things simple. Just my opinion.
Just like your other video reviews, we truly appreciate you for sharing this one and for sharing your opinions on some things.
We wanted to try a different experience to see what you guys would think, so we’ll know what others ways the experience would be appreciated. As it relates to the “unedited,” version, we will upload a version different from this one, so that you guys can enjoy the ASMR side of the experience. What are some things that you saw that you did appreciate as we would appreciate feedback on the positives as well. Thank you for the continued support and looking forward to sharing the unedited version soon. 🫡🫡
@@wtaenyc I love the video for the simple fact that I enjoy the sounds of the train itself. Voice overs or anything else is distracting. I truly love your AMSR versions. Thanks

After 179 st, do they go back from the last cart going back to manhattan or further where the layup is and switch back? those tracks ahead should really continue to little neck pkwy or atleast francis lewis
We imagine if you take a look at the re-upload of this video and watch until the end, you may find a deeper answer to this question. As it relates to your ideas of an extension , we look forward to seeing all that the system has to offer, given the necessary resources.
As I watched, I wondered how many complete runs that particular F-train will do in a day, and how many days will it run before it has to go into the shop for checkup and maintenance.
That’s an interesting thought and question 🤔

Love the videos, the little kid doing the station announcements was a nice touch, one quick technical question at first i thought the camera was Mounted on the platform of gangway but after watching a few videos the camera is filming below platform level, so i assume you have it mounted on the coupler .?

Thank you so much for sharing this and for your feedback. We wanted to try giving a different experience and welcome the feedback. Other than the voice, we added some other features to this video. What are some of the things you appreciated? We’re interested in hearing about those as well.
@wtaenyc I appreciated the fun facts about the stations' history and the transfers to other lines. So this new feature is welcome. The voice-over? Not at all. But don't for a nanosecond think that your videos fail to please---they are a railfan's ideal of trackside views now that most trains no longer have the railfan window! You simply are THE NUMBER ONE SOURCE for real-time, unedited track and tunnel views from the front of a train. Long live your channel!
Recorded on December 19, 2022, before the switch work at Ditmas was finished.

6 to pelhambay park? and A to 207 from lefferts blvd? R211 over rockaways ? all amazing ideas
Thank you so much for sharing them as it would be an honor to bring these ideas to life. Looking forward to sharing all that we have to offer.
When is the R train to Forest Hills being planned?
Great question ; we can't wait for you to experience it.
Another excellent video, love the stop announcer. Thanks for the ride.
Thank you so much for the feedback and we're happy you enjoyed it.

Can yall do the express 6 train from Brooklyn bridge city hall to Pelham Bay Park PLEASE😭😭😭🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you so much for the suggestion and we can't wait for you to see what we have in store.
Your 6 years old again is not a big deal 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You're neglecting transfers to the PATH train. I know the Port of Authority is a tough pill to swallow but ignoring them doesn't help.
Thank you for sharing. This wasn’t something that was planned and will make adjustments moving forward. Thanks again 🫡
Thx
Love the videos but it would be nice if all transfers were included, like the missing 8th Av line @ 42nd St & the 7 at Roosevelt Av....
Nice touch with the side-by-side picture-in-picture footage of the C 🔥
Beautiful video. Reminds me of when my grandfather would take me for many rides back when it was the D train. One question - why is there a speed restriction ahead of the Bergen Street station?
@@michaelcarlucci1760 i think bc the F train would merge with the A and C for Jay St and the G would merge off to Hoyt St
There’s no transfer line to 8th Av in the default announcements
Thanks for sharing your review as it relates to the PIP footage and the possible transfers at the stations you mentioned. We appreciate you for sharing and imagine you will see some adjustments in the other F train video we posted, without the voice announcements. 🫶🫡
Hearing the child-like station annoucements I thought I clicked on a DJ Hammers video.
We appreciate you for sharing your feedback and will discuss it with the team. Is there anything you did like about the video? We’d appreciate that feedback as well as there are many things we tried differently. Thanks again for your feedback and we look forward to your reply. 🫡🫡
@@wtaenyc I was making a humorous reference to the videos of DJ Hammers in which his channel features many excellent rain fan videos. But the videos of the nostalgia trips always have the voices of excited children who are at the front window, hence the humor of my comment. I was the one who requested a video of these nostalgia trips so that one can enjoy not only the view but also the sounds of those classic cars. RFW videos of those trips are great but the background chatter can be annoying.
It would be pretty cool too have that little voice on all the trains if they decided to change it 😬😬 I wasn’t expecting that in the video!!
Awesome stuff 👍👍👍
Thank you so much for sharing this feedback and your opinion on it being on the trains. This is something new we decided to try and who knows if it’s something that would be tried in the future on the trains as you mentioned. Anything else on the video you noticed and liked?
@@wtaenyc i would like to see an A train or C from Euclid Ave , going into Pitkin yard 😬😬,
I love your videos. I enjoyed the adorable voice overs. I hope the MTA adopts some of these to use on their announcements! Brings me back to when I was child riding this line as well as so many others! Keep up the great work!!
Thank you so much and we are honored that the video can help bring back those childhood riding memories. We look forward to seeing what the transit system has in store in the future as they do their part to improve the system and the riding experience. 🫂🫡
Regarding the addition of a child's voice, while I agree it may not have a good fit for this video, if it is genuine, the parent(s) of the child could think whether a future career in voiceover is feasible, even as a child (of course with the appropriate supervision and legal checks-and-balances). There is always a need for children's voices for commercials and animated programs (cartoons). If the child fully enjoys it, it may be considered as an adult career. Best of luck to whoever did the voice in the video and the parents!
We appreciate you for sharing this with us as you make some valid points. We just wanted to try something out so this feedback, along with all the others, is deeply appreciated and we look forward to maintaining your support.
I feel that the boy's announcements are adorable. I think that he should do that again. Is that your

Thank you so much for the kind words. This voice was provided by the editing software we used for this video. Shoutout to them for providing the voice(s).
What's with the kid voice?
We decided to try something new with the announcements. We appreciate the feedback we have gotten and will discuss it accordingly. Is there anything you liked about the video?
@@wtaenyc Other than that, I did like the video and loved the moment in Queens Boulevard that showed just how close the E and F train could run together.
Can you do the f train to Coney island via 8th avenue next please if you can get vis 8th avenue
Thank you so much for the suggestion. 🫡
This is a rlly good video n’ all, but it would’ve been better imo if u just added Kathleen Champion’s recording of the “this is” announcements instead of the baby voice.
Thank you for sharing. This was something we wanted to try and so, your review is greatly appreciated. Since posting, we’ve decided against its use. 🫡♾️

If you freeze it at 1:10:16 and look to your right you will see another unused tunnel opening that at one point was sealed up.. It looks like it might have been a connection to the local track
Great observation as it would have been interested to see a system with that area in use; who knows what the future holds for the system.
La voie de bébé.... pas fan du tout, je vois pas le rapport avec le milieu metro/ train enfaite, à la base s'était de la vidéo asmr non ? dommage.

Is there a j or m train video?
Check out our channel videos and let us know how you like both those experiences.
Why would the G not continue toward Coney Island to the last express stop... or vice versa. seems like a waste of an express track just to have it for layups
Great suggestion. We imagine that given the necessary resources, this may be something that can happen in the coming future. 🫡

Maximum respect. How was it seeing this video?
@@wtaenyc Two criticisms of this particular video: 1) The child-like voice-over announcing the names of stations along the F-Train's route (it may be "cute," but is cuteness a requisite for inclusion in these videos? - I daresay not) - and 2), this particular video seemed to be uncharacteristically hazy and out of focus optically, especially because it's in 4K (2160 p) resolution - and because "Welcome to An Experience's" other videos are by and large in quite sharp focus. My guess is adding the child announcing the stations was done as an experiment to see how people would like it. Judging by the comments below, SOME people DID like it - but a SIGNIFICANT portion of others DIDN'T. The child's voice-overs seem so uncalled-for, irrelevant to the subject matter AND unnecessary!
Good video but the person voicing over the announcements is kind of annoying and sounds very unnatural. Sounds like a 6-year-old, and I feel like it would’ve been better off with the regular (F) train program. Matter of fact, the announcements in general is kinda unnecessary. Just the track sounds and propulsion is cool.
Hear hear!
Thank you for the feedback as we decided to try a different experience. We went ahead and posted the F video without the voice over, so we imagine you will enjoy that video more. There are some other things we tried in this video, what are your thoughts on those things as we want to get an idea on how we could proceed. Looking forward to hearing back from you and again, thank you for your support. 🫶🫡
Is this track rickety or is it the equipment?
Could be a little bit of both depending on the area. 🫡
29:29 its the highest Subway station in America. It used to be in thr world until some place in china beat it
Thank you so much for sharing this information with us 🫶🫡
Good video. First of all, thanks to the kid who provided the voiceovers at each of the stops. As Monty Python would say, it is "something completely different". East Broadway station is currently 87 years old. In three more years, it will be 90. Our nation will be celebrating its 250th anniversary in July 2026! Wonder what that will be like?! Also, the New York Transit Museum will be celebrating its 50th anniversary! Plenty of good stuff to look forward to in the years ahead! One suggestion: when our train is on the express tracks, it would be a good idea to mark our progress to the next express stop. For example, have the graphics say "passing Woodhaven Boulevard-Slattery Plaza" or "passing Rego Park" till we reach the next express stop. Other than that, another good video from you guys! Thanks!
Thank you so much for taking the time to compliment us on the new addition to the experience. We appreciate the feedback and we also appreciate you for sharing your suggestion with us. It is something that is worth discussing and we will be sure to bring it to the table to be discussed further. Looking forward to what the system will be like in the years to come as we celebrate those anniversaries you mentioned. Thanks again for sharing and we appreciate you for your support. 🫶🫡
