I am 41. I was diagnosed with Childhood Speech Apraxia at 2 1/2. I went through intensive 7 1/2 years of speech therapy. Now people can’t even tell that I have had speech therapy. I recently found out that I was born with FOXP2 Syndrome which is a very rare condition affecting speech development in children. That’s why I had Childhood Speech Apraxia. As of 2022, only 40 people have been identified in the medical literature with FOXP2. I beat FOXP2.
