The most long overdue Hall of Famer I can remember. He wasn't just an Astros star, he was a guy who played the game the right way and kept going. Who knows how much more he could have done if he could have had his shoulder stay with him for another 2 or 3 years.
But really, he and Biggio were one of the best duos in baseball during the 90s. You knew they would get in at some point. Finally it happened.

From a Dodger fan Bagwell was one of my favorites from the 90s and he was always humble and the first ever 1st baseman to have a 30/30 season

I was an Astros fan almost from before Bagwell was born. My boyhood idols were Cesar and Cheo. I still love those guys, along with Terry Puhl, Art Howe, et.al., but Bagwell is my favorite Astro. As he said in his speech, he did everything-power, baserunning, fielding, plate discipline-so well. His across-the-board excellence, coupled with one of the craziest batting stances of all time, made him a joyous player to watch.

Perfect symmetry that the Astros won their first title the same year Bagwell finally made the Hall of Fame after too long a wait.

The reason why Bagwell’s stance is made fun of is because he had so much power in his lower half i know that and I’m not even a Jeff Bagwell’s son
