Rickey Henderson I dare say is underrated, for how famous he is. Joe Gordon? Gil McDougald (sp?)? Gary Carter? Bill Freehan? Richie Ashburn? Those guys are all underrated IMHO, but I agree with you that Jeff Bagwell is the MOST underrated (I'm a big Bill Freehan fan, so I'm putting him second!)

I never knew he was brokenhearted about being traded to Houston, we are all glad he learned to love it. I grew up seeing that batting stance so it always looked normal, seeing it again after all these years it looks so weird lol.

Astros got bounced by inferior teams in the playoffs because of it.
It's hard to have elite playoff numbers against the 3 headed monster that Atlanta had every year. Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltz were a tough trio to try to go up against every single year... Biggio hit well in '04 and over .300 in the '05 playoffs.
