Considering this game has been one of my favorite JRPGs in awhile, hearing about some of the background is really amazing. Hoping we get DLC or even a sequel!
@@eminences6764 : To be fair, the interview made it sound like they had nothing coming, but I suppose this was conducted before the first announcements. :)
The amount of love and care of towards community from the devs actually put players like me in Scarlet Nexus quite thrilled as they want this IP to succeed no matter what. Thank you for sharing this Q&A Jay!, So excited for the future of this franchise!
Playing it now & it’s definitely one of my favorite games of all time. Can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a game this much! Will definitely pick up any DLC associated with the game as well! Great interview & content as always! (This game & your channel is definitely keeping me hyped as we head into Tales of Arise).
Fantastic interview, very well paced. Thank you Jay RPG for putting this together. Scarlet Nexus was a very unique experience for me. I hope the Development team and Bamco found success in this title so we can see a sequel in the future.
@Jay RPG So awesome that you could get this interview. Your guests are always interesting and you know the right questions to ask. Fantastic video, as always! (It might be a stretch, but how cool would it be to get an Erica Lindbeck interview for Arise? Not to mention all her past work- Magilou, Jessie Raspberry, Futaba, the list goes on!)
So cool that you got to do this. :) It's too bad we couldn't hear anything regarding future additions to the series though, as I really want to see more of this game, both through DLC and/or follow up games. Hoping that they do actually have some plans for the future. EDIT: Or at least that's what the interview sounded like. I guess we do get DLC after all. XD I will also agree on Shiden being the character I relate to the most, and probably my favorite too, although Gemma really stands out as well. I just have a very personal connection to what Shiden's personal story was about.
Thanks for the video! Was really interesting! I really felt in love with this game so this was the content i needed, congrats on being able to do the interview!
Great interview. Been waiting for this. Can't explain how much i loved this game. It is definitely become one of my favorite game. It was a stress reliever very fun to play.
Woah, so y’all just casually get interviews with developers like this. Amazing, and it’s making me wanna play the game even more. I have to admit, when you said you had a native Japanese speaker narrating the answers…. I kinda assumed they’d be in Japanese, with subs or something? It just caught me off guard that it was all in English but a Japanese speaker, that’s all. Lol
I had an internal debate with myself about what I was going to do with the developer answers (have no voices, read the answers myself, make everything text on-screen including the questions, etc) but ultimately I wanted people to be able to listen to the video and still get all the information because it's quite difficult making a video that's visually interesting when you have to show so much text. Having Sora do the narration helped because I believe Anabuki-san translated the answers into English himself, Sora was able to give some additional insight into certain answers. :)
This is some really cool insight on how the devs felt about the game. Kinda sad that I assume this was recorded before the confirmation of the 3 DLC packs.
Only just before, which (I'm guessing) is why Anabuki-san said "However, please stay tuned to recent announcements ;)" - He must have known this wouldn't be up until after they announced the DLC lol.
HI Tbeo I Love both they are amazing games! The worlds gorgeous. The storylines are rivating and game play does not get so tiring that you just don't want to go on ! So I don't choose give me either one and I'm conten !
All this talk about not being able to say anything on DLC and new updates but also aknowlodging player feedback and telling people to look out for the future seems suspicious. BAMCO staff already said the game had a strong launch and that they have plans to turn Scarlet Nexus into a franchise. A DLC in the making seems more apparent after this interview. I'm keen on the thought that a new edition will come when the game reaches the 1 million sales mark with a story expasion and everything that needed to be adressed with the feedback they got. Great job Jay! You always show effort and commitment on the content you put out. Now here's to Tales of Arise.
I'm glad you enjoyed this game. Sadly, Scarlet Nexus just fell flat for me. The story is messed up and poorly written. Gameplay takes a while to really get good since most of the abilities are locked at first. It has all these great elements, but they don't seem to unite to me.
Such a beautifully crafted and amazing JRPG. Teleport progression system completely ruined the game for me. I really thought the areas would be interconnected and exploration would be fun, but alas… corridors after corridors with predicted small areas with predicted fights. Hope they open up the world and ditch the archaic teleport progression system in future installments.
I'm 2 hours in the game. My problem...the dialogue is awful. Does this improve? This is the new 'Metroid: Other M". There is a game here to like, but...this story so far.
@@JRPGGaming Yeah....I'm a bit too old for this, I guess. It's angsty for the sake of being angsty, most wouldn't find it very interesting. This game seem to be pumped up to be something it isn't. The action elements seem great, but the RPG elements (especially the story) are shallow and boring. That's my honest opinion.
What they should have got from the "tales of" series are the damn CUTSCENES. The story presentations is atrocious. It's basically what Tales of Arise does with its skits but for the whole game; ridiculous.

Still my favorite jrpg to come out this year, possibly in a few years, including ff7r’s release.
This is super cool, i’m happy they took the time to do this.
I would like to play as Karen Travers.
Very nice man, congrats!
Having a brain eater as a main character would make a lot of sense for this series. :)

Nice interview, just beat the game for the first time. Definitely one of the nice surprise hits of this year.
Nexus needed a horde mode or bloody palace
I'd like a good 'duel' enemy that's an other. Something intimidating and intelligent with counters to some of your tricks. :)

Great interview Jay , looks a great game 😊
I agree 100% about Kodama. She didn't get nearly enough screen time
Honestly i wanted more of future yuito
Xilla 1 and 2 are two of my favorite games ! Anabuki is so good looking!

Absolutely love the game but can't stand the fact I can't turn the background music down without muting every cut scene
Where can I find the artist Twitter account?
Neither Producer Iizuka or Art Director Ochiai are on twitter, unfortunately.
@@JRPGGaming shame but thanks.
I enjoyed Scarlet Nexus more than any tales games
I definitely love the game, but the gameplay was a bit stiff/spammy i wish there was more development outside of stat increases.

They've gotten a lot better in Arise with that, so maybe we'll eventually get to see that design added to Scarlet Nexus.
I'm 2 hours in the game. My problem...the dialogue is awful. Does this improve? This is the new 'Metroid: Other M". There is a game here to like, but...this story so far.
Nope
Yeah, it improved about 2 hours earlier in your playthrough (because the dialogue isn't awful).
i straght up skip the first 2 chapter, if you watch any amount of anime it doesn't effect the rest of the story at all
Its not awful its amazing so NO it doesnt improve it stays superior
