Emily Silas Pitbulls are literally the teddy bears of dogs. I used to dog sit for this super muscular mean looking one named Rascal, but it was all for show. At the end of our walks, as soon as I sat down, he would run toward me and tackle me with kisses.

The room is very bright, so it was probably day. The dog seems to be much bigger than the cats, as it takes up so much of the screen. It's not filmed under water, so it was probably filmed on land. Surprisingly they don't seem to mind that. I'm so fucking dense, I have to write these obvious things down, so my brain can process the information.

I used to have some Siamese. I bred them 3 times, at Christmas. There is no mistaking a mother, in defensive mode. She will put herself, between the kittens, and whatever danger she perceives. I know this well, because it wasn't just me, deciding who the kittens would go to. With the mothers approval, the guests were allowed to meet the kittens.

Cerdd_Wen Pitbulls are violent because their owners couldn't control them. I had a pitbull from the animal shelter. It took me 3 months to calm her down to the stage where I can introduce people to her. I had her for seven years before she passed away, due to natural causes.

Pit Bulls by nature are a docile breed. If they've never been abused or trainned to be aggessive thier very calm easy going animals. :)

That's probably exactly what he's thinking. He's sniffing around trying to get clues on the general vibe with the new kitties and the mom. Treading lightly, moves slow, respects their space. A good dog will recognize when the mother has everything under control and stay in his lane. A great dog will recognize when the mother isn't handling her responsibilities and pick up the slack.

I love when pit-bulls prove the stereotypes all wrong, especially since some of the smartest and sweetest dogs I've known were pits. One that was my neighbor's dog was so smart you could watch him listening to our conversation and he would let out low grunts when someone started to lie! He knew how to call BS better than a lie-detector test, LOL!

Consistency. That's the main thing. It was definitely a process. That and I watched a lot of Cesar Milan, that guy is a genius. His trick of moving the collar to just behind the ears makes Manny prance when on a walk, no pulling at all.

Amanda Hovendon but since owning a dog requiers no licence, you can't make sure they are all brought up in a good way. and when not brought up in a good way, they are more dangerous to humans, then most other dog breeds (not all of course).
don't misinterpret this as me saying ban them, absolutely not, that's a couple bridges too far, but make some sort of licencing mandatory for owning certain breeds, would help ( I think).
and to those who actually plan on raising em well and who actually like the breed for other things than fighting capabilities, such a licence would be a piece of cake. and it would probably cut down on the amounts of idiots raising pitbulls,boxers, etc. in abad way because they are too retarded to understand the consequences.

Look at Michael Jamison's channel, he has a pet tiger named Enzo who he keeps together with annoying anklebiter dogs and he never attacks them. They vary by individual, and some individuals are safe. The problem is the chance you will happen to end up with an individual who has it in them to lock their teeth around your, or someone else's, neck when you least expect it. And just because they're affectionate to you, doesn't mean they won't do that to someone else out of protectiveness of you or possessiveness of territory. The other day, I was on yahoo answers, and there was a woman who was distaught because she put her pitbull together with her kitty and the pitbull immediately tore the kitten to shreds, and got answers like "what did you think was going to happen?" And you can bet that when *that* is the outcome, *those* videos don't make it to youtube. Who wants to bet that she was misled by videos on youtube like this one unilaterally painting a picture without showing anything to the contrary, to not know that was a possible outcome?

my American Pitbull Terrier (my logo pic him as a baby) is 70lbs at 7 months...just took him to the vet and she said very big for his age...then again I am retired army and take him everywhere and over feed him all day...still got room to grow...in my experience APBT Grey and Brindle males tend to break the mold on size from what I see living here in the South
I hate to be that guy, but the max a pure APBT can weigh is 65 lbs

Cray Fishe I used to have the same mindset. “Pit bulls are evil killing machines!” Then my family adopted a rescue pit bull Great Dane mix named Romeo. Then about 4 years later we adopted another pit bull named Juliet. They loved each other like brother and sister until a few months ago Romeo had to be put down. Juliet has never been the same. You can tell she misses him and even now that she is a big sister to a German Shepard/Rottweiler mix she is taking what her big bro thought her and using it to teach her younger brother. My pit bulls where the sweetest dogs on this planet and would go to the ends of the earth to protect their family.
@Cray Fishe Exactly, to risk buying a pitbull - or even allowing them - because some well trained individuals can be nice under certain circumstances, is insane. They are bred to fight and kill, and therefore they don't have the same purpose or instincts as most other dogs. They can all suddenly burst out and rush for the nearest living creature to rip to pieces.
To get one of these when you have children is to have a ticking bomb attached to them. My parents had a pitbull just before I was born, and they say he was hard to control and aggressive. IF they had kept him, I might've very well gotten eaten whole - as he liked to do with rats.

It was ready to defend itself, even at that early age.
My wife and I have had 9 cats over the past 20 years, including having 7 at one time living in the house... They all lived very long lives and died at home...( We have their ashes ).
And now, we just have two... Missy and Junior...
