Uma dica é colocar um colar elisabetano, restringe alguns dos reflexos dele , sem machucar. Tenho um gato que qd se sente ameaçado , ou quando estranhos tentam pegá-lo , fica bravo assim. Tem uma clínica veterinária que ele já é acostumado desde pequeno e lá deixa fazerem tudo, no entanto, qd fica internado no hospital , por algum motivo, toca o terror 😅. Última vez foi para fazer a uma endoscopia, avisei que ele iria ficar bravo, a Dra ficou com medo pq ele não deixava ela encostar, pedi um colar elisabetano, colocamos e eu distrai ele pra ela conseguir colocar o acesso. Mas, na hora de anestesiar, ele arrancou o acesso, e mordeu a gastro e o anestesista 🤦🏽♀️. Quando fui buscar na internação estava escrito na baia , "gato reativo". Um aviso para os estagiários não colocarem a mão nele, ele é muito fofo , engana fácil.

The cat could have been sedated first, even in his own home, via food. The continued trauma is unnecessary. Yes the vet cares but he should talk to vets who deal with feral cats. They don’t try to out muscle them. It is dangerous for both vet, assistants and cat. Was this just done for TH-cam? It wouldn’t have been as dramatic if done by a vet experienced in dealing with strays that have gone wild.
@@littlebaboo similar thoughts. I’m worried about the mental scarring that this does to these animals. Doc got his 15 minutes of fame but at this poor thing’s expense. I’m not saying he isn’t doing the right thing but perhaps sedation before all this would have been good for the cat’s long term wellbeing.
Thankyou for not giving up on this cat and for treating him. I'm amazed at just how strong Istanbul was, and how tactical he was. And kudos to the owners who went and found a vet to manage Istanbul - you brought him to the right vet!

Thank you, this brought a tear to my eye, we had a cat just like that named Izzy. She was perfectly sweet at home but a trip to the vet unleashed her inner demons and she went nuts. She fought like a warrior princess and drew blood several times, but our vet was always kind and gentle with her. We told him we would understand if he didn’t want to deal with her but he said it was just part of being a vet and always treated her gently. Thank you for the video, best wishes.
I have two cats and the best solution was that the vet comes to our house. Maybe its more expensive but its much better because is less stressfull for them and for us. Regards from México🥰😻.

I know how strong a cat can be. We had a massive outbreak of fleas in the early 1990s and I had to dip many local cats who were severely infested. Those who were not used to water or a bath fought like demons but it was the only remedy at the time. You have my respect.

Thank you, this brought a tear to my eye, we had a cat just like that named Izzy. She was perfectly sweet at home but a trip to the vet unleashed her inner demons and she went nuts. She fought like a warrior princess and drew blood several times, but our vet was always kind and gentle with her. We told him we would understand if he didn’t want to deal with her but he said it was just part of being a vet and always treated her gently. Thank you for the video, best wishes.

I know how strong a cat can be. We had a massive outbreak of fleas in the early 1990s and I had to dip many local cats who were severely infested. Those who were not used to water or a bath fought like demons but it was the only remedy at the time. You have my respect.

Точно, после такого видео ветеринаром быть не захочешь. Надеюсь, что не все такие пациенты. Моей кошке тоже делали уколы после операции, но дома и я сама держала кошку на руках. Я думаю, что кошку пугает чужая обстановка и неизвестность.

@@Tatiana_Nikitina а я пеленала кошку как ребенка, лапки были обездвижены, одной рукой прижимала ее , другой колола. Конечно, если вдвоем проще, но иногда приходилось одной делать уколы. Точно также поступала со своей маленькой очень непоседливой собачкой.
