    New O2 Oxygen Sensor from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1AEOS00262
This video shows you how to install an upstream oxygen (O2) sensor on your 2011-2018 Volkswagen Jetta. The Oxygen (O2) sensors help monitor the emissions system in your vehicle. They measure the amount of oxygen passing through the exhaust, which informs the computer about proper fuel/air mixture, and the condition of the catalytic converter. Over time, the sensors may fail due to contamination, or reaching the end of their service life. TRQ offers new O2 sensors made to manufacturer’s specifications.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2011 Volkswagen Jetta
    2012 Volkswagen Jetta
    2013 Volkswagen Jetta
    2014 Volkswagen Jetta
    2015 Volkswagen Jetta
    2016 Volkswagen Jetta
    2017 Volkswagen Jetta
    2018 Volkswagen Jetta
    Tools you will need:
    • Pocket Screwdriver
    • Pry Bar 1aau.to/os/1AXAA00020
    • O2 Sensor Socket
    • Ratchet 1aau.to/oai/1AXAA00016
    • Socket Extensions 1aau.to/oX/1AXAA00015

I have a 2019 manual Jetta throwing an o2 code. The symptoms were jerky acceleration in first and 2nd then fluttering with load and throttle, seems to disappear for months at a time then come back

Do you have to have a special tool for the censor or will a rench work?

Hi, after replacing the o2 part, my check engine light is still on and now my EPC light is on as well. Do I have to drive it a certain amount? Should it turn off by itself? Do I have to reset the warning lights and see if it comes back on again? Did I possibly mess something up as now the EPC light is on? Thanks

If it helps. Head over to your nearby auto shop like Oreilys or Autozone and ask for the loan a tool option. They have kits for sockets that are specifically to remove oxygen sensors. This way you borrow the tool, use it and return it. There may be a deposit/hold on the item but as soon as you return it, it is released. No charge

@@victorbriceno8401 thanks. I ended up finding it and just buying one in case i ever need one in the future. Saved so much installing it myself that i figured, "why not?".

My question is regarding the replacement part. My wife has the 2013 2.5 SE and so far every time I have had to change/replace any parts I find myself having to purchase OEM. Aftermarket parts for some reason don’t last or don’t work at all. Any tips as to whether this oxygen sensor worked after its addition? Thank you for the great video and feedback.

You probably already bought your part but my mechanic buddies all told me to go with Bosch for a replacement part.

Bosch is the original manufacturer for some car parts for EVERY car, they created the o2 and mass air flow sensors, and soon it became the standard for all cars.
