The thing about Super AMOLED Plus isn't the contrast ratio compared to regular Super AMOLED screens, it's that it was supposed to fix the washed-out colors issue on them. And it did. It looks a LOT better compared to the regular Super AMOLED screen.

I am reading and watching many reviews about the samsungs2 and the i phone 4..They both look incredible phones..My current contract ends in 1 month after 24 months with the Sony EricsonW995. Phones have advanced so much..Which one do i take? samsungS2 is cheaper..Would love some imput? thanks

This truly is a great phone! It's my first smartphone and the one thing that bothers is its much functions; you can do too much with this phone. Too much excuses to grab it. The older generation (parents) doesn't like that habitat very much. :-)
@FreeFromWar No it's got gorilla glass...one of the most strongest/indestructible glass...wont scratch easily either...so I think you'd be fine...but it's the back that might pop off...snap...damage battery..and hardware behind...
Brandon - if you're right handed you're going to be holding the phone with your left hand so you can use it with your right hand. This is why i don't like the button on the side. I prefer it on the top so i can use my left hand to hold it.

@JonGarrett2008 I'm telling you that you won't find any phone better than the samsung galaxy s 2 at the moment. If you want to buy any other phone then keep your iphone. The Super amoled screen is the most amazing thing on phones. It shows you every color as it is while other screens show every color white because of their backlight. If you use the galaxy s for a few weeks then you'll never use any other phone, thats for sure!
@mightymelee Android 2.3 is not crappy software, it is plastic so it is light, It has faster processor (dual core) , better brighter screen, 1g of Ram, IPHONE 4 is shit on a stick compared to this, maybe IPHONE 5 will compete a bit more.
well 'till today it is definitly the best smartphone on the market but i think next iphone gen will beat it and rumors about iphone 6 gen with intel quadcore chips and system on a glass principial are crazy..next iphone gens will be really good..
Superb specs on the phone, best on the market that I know of. Touchwiz needs to go, though. I can't bring myself to trust Samsung when it comes to their interface design philosophy.

Using the Galaxy s now and loving every part of it compare to Iphone4. One problem is the battery need to be last longer to support to large screen.
Absolutely love this phone but sometimes I wish it was just a bit heavier. It would make it feel a lot more high quality.
