As a mental health therapist, I love the fact that she is taking ownership, and her awareness is sharp, she is imparting boundaries where they need to be and vulnerable with how she feels. However, her being numb is a sign of hurt (hurt from betrayal, giving specification) and she can work through it. Kudos to her for making steps to a new her!

These last few weeks with Loren co hosting is the most I have watched TBC all year. I really, really like Loren. No offense to Jess, but she conducts interviews well and helps to give more depth to the conversation. Also her reporting is great. She is what’s missing from TBC to be honest. I relate with Muni Long. When you’ve been hurt in life and you heal, you get to a place of Internal peace. Not everyone can recognize it. She doesn’t have to be anybody else other than herself and that makes insecure people cringe.

as a scorpio who CONSISTENTLY shuts any negativity out of my life the second i feel it, i thoroughly enjoyed this interview from start to end. i completely feel all the things muni said about her perspective on life. at some point, you really get tired of exhausting any energy you have into a person just for them to reveal their true face under the mask months, even years later. you get numb, you get tired, you feel defeated; but i turn all of those negative emotions into “forget everybody and everything”. life is way too short to dwell on people who don’t add to your life in only positive ways. and there’s too much happening around us in life outside of this one relationship that the small issues and problems don’t even feel worth it. muni is very self aware and i connect with her on many levels

I see alot of comments about her energy her songs caught my attention but what locked me into her is finding out she has LUPUS alotta ppl not in tune with the disease but growing up with a mom who actually had her Lupus detected after going in labor with me i got a soft spot for anybody with it, Selena Gomez, Toni Braxton, Nick Cannon, Trick Daddy it causes your immune system to work against your body and can be deadly if the person isn’t taking good care of themselves. It’s very frustrating to feel great one day and the next you in a hospital bed i didn’t understand my moms moods back then but i do now i turn 40 this year and she’s 64 and it’s been a long journey so I see the battle with Muni plus the stress of just life’s obstacles think she deserves grace for this energy

I thoroughly enjoyed this interview. It was refreshing & reaffirming. I appreciate her firm honesty & frankness. I didn’t get “cold” from her at all. Just protective over self, strong willed, & hard to screw over. Her ‘detaching’ is a super power because lots of people stay in places that are not conducive to their healthy well being & don’t know how to let go. She, however has the ability to do different. Which in turn leads to happiness. It’s crazy times when self awareness & self preservation gets looked at as if you’re sad. Also, an artist’s job is to perform when on stage but in interviews, they should be allowed to be relaxed. Being full of energy is not always needed, esp if you don’t have it.

(Usually) women will date for potential when a man has a bad job but she thinks she can inspire him to have more drive and get a better one, or she thinks she can inspire him to go back to school, or move out of his mother's house, dress better, or be better with money etc. He's basically a fixer upper.

I watched Muni on The Terrell Show and she was definitely more comfortable to dicuss her personal situation with him. The female host on this show always try to dig on a person's relationship or the negativity in their life. She always try to lead guests to discuss what she wants them to. Muni had dealt with domestic violence, she doesn't want to discuss this. Discuss her album.
I thoroughly enjoyed this interview. It was refreshing & reaffirming. I appreciate her firm honesty & frankness. I didn’t get “cold” from her at all. Just protective over self, strong willed, & hard to screw over. Her ‘detaching’ is a super power because lots of people stay in places that are not conducive to their healthy well being & don’t know how to let go. She, however has the ability to do different. Which in turn leads to happiness. It’s crazy times when self awareness & self preservation gets looked at as if you’re sad. Also, an artist’s job is to perform when on stage but in interviews, they should be allowed to be relaxed. Being full of energy is not always needed, esp if you don’t have it.
I don't think she's awkward she just seems like she's thinking while speaking. Same as Beyoncé! And the female interviewer she ask really good questions while not coming off as messy while still connecting her questions to whar she's there to talk about her album!

I don't know why they were looking at Lauren weird when she talked about "dating for potential".
(Usually) women will date for potential when a man has a bad job but she thinks she can inspire him to have more drive and get a better one, or she thinks she can inspire him to go back to school, or move out of his mother's house, dress better, or be better with money etc. He's basically a fixer upper.
Right and that's basically what muni long said when she talked about lying that her husband helps her with music so that he can be inspired to do something.
